Chapter 128 Poisoned Water
Soon, the door creaked open again, and two more people entered the room. Yet, this time, it was Amelia Summers and Savannah Reed, both in disguise.
Savannah refused to miss out on such a good show. No matter what, she had to come see it for herself. So, Amelia had no choice but to accompany her.
Amelia walked straight up to Milly and grabbed the knife from the men. Without hesitation, she slashed Milly’s arm.
Milly screamed as blood streamed from her arm.
“Ahhh! Ahhhhh!”
Timothy’s heart almost broke at the sight. “What the hell are you doing? Come at me if you have a problem! What kind of coward bullies a woman?”
Milly sobbed in pain but didn’t dare to make a move. She was terrified that the wrong move might cost her
life.
She didn’t want to die. Not before inheriting the full Summers family fortune, and certainly not before watching Amelia’s life get completely ruined.
Just as she was about to plead, Amelia slashed her other arm. Another line of blood appeared.
Both cuts were about the length of a finger and looked terrifying. Milly nearly passed out from fear.
Timothy’s face turned pale as he screamed in desperation, “Come at me! Leave her alone, come at me!”
Wearing a hood, Amelia gave a faint smile as she placed the knife into Milly’s hand.
Her voice was deliberately lowered and raspy.
“Well, you heard Mr. Chase. Ms. Summers, the knife’s in your hands now. Stab him a few times, and maybe you’ll suffer less tonight.”
Milly shook her head, sobbing, “No, no… I don’t want to…”
Seeing her like this, Timothy’s heart softened even more. He felt that everything he’d done for her was worth it.
“Milly, it’s okay. Stab me. I love you, so I can take it. I’ll prove I love you ten thousand times more than Nolan ever could!”
“Timothy…”
Tears streamed down Milly’s face. But inside, she was already twisted with rage. She thought to herself. It hurt like hell. Damn it, it really hurt.
But if she stabbed Timothy too easily, he might not remain a lapdog anymore if they ended up being rescued tonight.
Thankfully, she knew how to manipulate him.
In between tears, she slowly walked towards Timothy. The knife was in her hand.

Savannah watched Milly’s melodramatic act, then glanced at the composed Amelia beside her. She couldn’t help but mutter, “Are you the devil or something?”
Even Savannah herself couldn’t come up with something this cruel.
She and Amelia were truly birds of a feather.
Milly finally reached Timothy, as she held the knife in her hand.
Seeing her tear–streaked face, he felt nothing but love and devotion. He even closed his eyes.
“Milly, I know you’re being forced to do this. I won’t cry out in pain. I know this hurts you even more inside!”
Milly bit her lips, her eyes red from crying.
“Timothy… I’m sorry… I really am sorry.”
“You don’t have to apologize! I’m doing this willingly! Don’t cry! It hurts me to see you cry!”
A cold glint flashed in Milly’s eyes. She stabbed him, albeit not fatally since she avoided any vital areas.
Timothy grunted but didn’t cry out.
He didn’t want to look weak in front of his goddess, Milly. If they made it through this, it would count as them surviving death together.
Maybe then, Milly would leave Nolan and choose him instead.
The thought alone filled him with bliss, making him forget the pain.
Milly, still between sobs, pulled the knife out and looked at Amelia Summers.
“Is that enough? You devils…”
Amelia pulled a water bottle from behind her and gave a faint smile, still speaking in that hoarse voice.
“Oh, we’re just getting started. This bottle is filled with poison, deadly poison. Only one of you gets to live tonight.”
She gave the two men a look, and they immediately grabbed Milly.
Milly turned pale as she thrashed violently.
“No! Please, I’m begging you, don’t!”
Just moments ago, she still had an air of superiority and was trying to act. But, now that she realized her life was on the line, that pretense was gone. She cried miserably, looking pitiful and desperate.
Amelia walked closer with the bottle, her voice sharp and cold.
“Ms. Summers, you’ve only yourself to blame.”
Then, she twisted off the cap and moved to pour the poisoned water into Milly’s mouth.
Milly’s eyes widened with terror as she screamed.

“I don’t want to die! I don’t want to die! I’m not drinking that! Why not make Timothy drink it? Didn’t he say he’d do anything for me?”
At her words, Timothy’s eyes flew open in disbelief. It was as if he couldn’t believe what he had just heard.
Amelia froze mid–motion.
Seeing that her words had an effect, Milly spoke even more urgently.
“Let Timothy drink it! He said he’d do anything for me! Anything! Boohoo… I don’t want to die….”
Amelia signaled for the two men to let Milly go.
Milly’s entire body went limp like overcooked noodles. She collapsed as her body sprawled onto the ground.
Amelia crouched down slightly and placed the bottle in front of Milly.
“Ms. Summers, you drink it… or he does.”
