Savannah Reed’s hair was styled in big waves, and she recently dyed it a new shade of burgundy that made her skin look even fairer.
Leaning against the doorframe, she gave Amelia a look before asking,
“That audio and video clip online was it really something you edited together?”
“Huh?”
Amelia hadn’t yet heard how the Summers family was responding. Her brows furrowed slightly.
Savannah stepped closer, clearly interested in the gossip.
“You know, that recording of Milly Summers from earlier today caused a big stir. This afternoon, the Summers family said you’d be making a statement soon. They claimed you’d be admitting that you faked it.”
Amelia’s lips twitched. Aside from Alexander Summers, she’s blocked every other member of the Summers family.
Savannah took out her car keys and dangled it in front of Amelia.
“That car downstairs? It’s here for you. I’m in a good mood tonight. Do you have any plans? I could take you. for a drive. I used to be a champion in kickboxing, you know.”
There was an effortless boldness about Savannah. She had those big–sister vibes that younger guys would probably go crazy for. She had a magnetic presence, which drew people to her.
Amelia had just chatted a bit with Dylan, and even he had joked with her. Because of that, she was in a pretty good mood herself.
“Sure, let’s go.”
It was strange. Despite barely knowing each other, their energies seemed to match perfectly.

Savannah had a faint perfume on her as she yawned. “Yeah, it’s his. He’s with two bodyguards. I’ve actually. hired those two before. They’re totally for hire. No morals, they just follow the money.”
Amelia gave her a weird look. Why would she need bodyguards? And she said it so casually.
Savannah chuckled. “Sometimes you run into really difficult clients. Beat them up a little, and then I’ll just swoop in to comfort them after they’ve settled down. Works like a charm. They’re so touched that they’ll sign the contract on the spot.”
She said it so shamelessly, like it was a point of pride.
Amelia suddenly felt like they really clicked.

“So, what you’re saying is, you could pay off those two bodyguards and have them turn on Timothy?”
“Strictly speaking, yes.”
They hit it off instantly, and Savannah immediately made a call.
At the same time, Timothy was sitting in the car with the two bodyguards. He had planned to ambush Amelia, kidnap her, and force her to admit that she had faked the recording.
He was willing to do anything as long as it made Milly happy.
However, Timothy was growing impatient since Amelia hadn’t shown up.
Just as he leaned back in his seat, a chloroform–soaked cloth was suddenly pressed over his nose and mouth. He had no time to react, let alone fight back. He blacked out instantly.
The car door opened to reveal Amelia and Savannah standing outside.
When the two bodyguards saw Savannah, they immediately greeted her respectfully, “Ms. Reed!”
Savannah was a VIP client, after all.
Savannah waved them off and got into the car with Amelia.
She was curious as to what Amelia had planned.
Amelia went to pick up Timothy’s phone. She unlocked it with his fingerprint and opened his chat with Milly.
She couldn’t help but admit that Timothy was indeed devoted. His messages were full of exaggerated praise for Milly, treating her like a princess. As for Amelia, he constantly bashed her and called her all kinds of nasty things.
What a waste of a devoted follower. However, it was time he saw Milly’s true colors.
Amelia went and typed out a message from his phone.
“Milly, I’ve got Amelia. Want to come see her? You can do whatever you want to her tonight. I just want you to know, I’d do anything for you.”
To Milly Summers, this was music to her ears!
Milly didn’t even hesitate. After showering Timothy with praise, she jumped in her car and drove over.
The location was a construction site on the outskirts of town. There was a small shack with a bright light inside.
Milly Summers parked outside and excitedly headed toward the shack. She had already pictured how she’d make Amela suffer.
However, when she opened the door, it only revealed a tied–up Timothy and two strange–looking men in odd outfits..
Milly immediately stepped back, trying to escape. But the door slammed shut behind her.
A bucket of cold water was thrown on Timothy, waking him up just in time to see Milly held at knifepoint.

Timothy had no idea what had happened. He’d been sitting in the car, and then everything went black.
He didn’t even know who had knocked him out.
The two men in the room were now wearing wigs and masks, so Timothy didn’t realize that they were the very same bodyguards he had hired.
