Chapter 120 The Fallout
“Hmm… he’s still resting on top of someone.”
“Yeah…”
The two exchanged glances, still unable to make sense of the situation. In their frustration, they each landed a hard kick on Felix.
When Amelia arrived back at Palm Bay, the family doctor was already there, promptly beginning to treat her injuries. Dylan remained at her side throughout, holding her free hand.
She thought about asking if he had simply forgotten to let go, but never found the nerve to speak when Dylan was around.
Partly, it was because of his injured leg. But even more so, she still didn’t fully understand what had happened in the past.
Dylan was a genuinely good man. He didn’t seem to hold any resentment toward her at all.
Silently, she made a promise to herself that from now on, she would be the perfect sleeping pill he needed.
Once the doctor finished bandaging her, he quickly excused himself, sensing he was the third wheel in the
room.
It was only then that Amelia recalled the recording she’d forwarded to Dylan. She wondered whether he had already heard it.
“Mr. Hale, about that recording…”
“It’s already been sent out.”
She blinked, unsure who he meant by sent out.
Amelia was feeling groggy, leaning slightly to the side, half–asleep. After asking her a question, she let out a
yawn.
“Alright… I’ll deal with it after I wake up.”
It wasn’t until later, when she finally woke up, that she realized what Dylan’s calm sent out really meant.
The news dominated the front pages and topped the trending charts, all centered around that recording.
Damien’s voice had been carefully distorted, but Milly’s remained crystal clear.
“I just need everyone to believe she caused me to lose the baby. Get me a bag of blood first.
“Make sure the surveillance footage is erased. I want to leave her with no way to clear her name. The staircase will do nicely. You’ll be the one to tell everyone I lost the baby.
“Hah, everyone will turn against her. She’s always been cruel and she deserves whatever happens next!”
Even Damien’s hesitant voice could be heard in the background.
“Is this really okay, Ms. Milly? After all, she’s your sister…”
Chapter 120 The Fallout
“I’ve never seen her as my sister! She’s always been an obstacle. I have to seize this chance to drive her out the Summers family. This has nothing to do with you! Just follow my instructions”
But that wasn’t the end of it.
The top trending headline read, “Exposing the Sweetheart Socialite on How She Framed Her Own Sister
Thanks to Carrie’s earlier schemes, their entire social circle was already convinced that Amelia had deliberately pushed Milly down the stairs, leading to the miscarriage.
Now, with this exposé making waves and Milly’s name out in the open, gossip spread like wildfire.
Milly, however, remained completely unaware of the storm brewing online. She had already been brought home earlier that day.
In a foul mood, she had the entire Summers household walking on eggshells, and Nolan had no choice but to stay by her side.
“Nolan, why do you look so distracted? Are you heartbroken about the baby, too?”
She leaned weakly against his chest, looking utterly delicate and fragile.
But Nolan’s thoughts were on Amelia. Still, Milly had clung to him the entire afternoon, leaving him too drained to search for the truth.
The rest of the Summers family was gathered as well. Alexander was the first to speak up, trying to comfort her.
“Milly, you’ll have another child someday. Amelia’s already paid the price for what she did. Please, stop talking about jumping off buildings. You’re scaring all of us.”
Celia sat nearby, quietly peeling fruit for her.
“Seriously, Milly, you scared me half to death today. Don’t keep everything bottled up. Whatever happens, we’re here for you.”
A complex mix of emotion and quiet pride flickered across Milly’s face. Alexander was now firmly on her side.
Ha! Celia had even made sure Felix was there to entertain Amelia. By now, Amelia’s reputation must be utterly destroyed.
How delightful.
Soon, she would become Nolan’s wife and perhaps even run into Dylan during family events.
Though she’d never confess it aloud, not even to herself, she couldn’t deny the pull she felt toward Dylan as well.
Everyone was fussing over her, and she basked in the attention, soaking up every comforting word.
But as Nolan checked his phone, his face shifted in an instant
Milly assumed he’d just heard about Amelia’s humiliation. She quickly put on a concerned face.
“What’s wrong, Nolan? Did something happen to Amelia?”

Chapter 120 The Fallout
Nolan stood frozen, as if struck by lightning.
The others began to look uneasy too.
“Nolan, what’s wrong? You look so pale.”
Hearts
Nolan clenched his phone as he stared at the message a friend had casually forwarded. “This is blowing up online. Those Summers sisters really are something else.”
His pride was everything, and now he was being made into a public spectacle. The anger simmered within him.
Amelia’s tearful voice echoed in his mind from the hospital. “As long as Milly plays the victim, everyone will side with her.”
The memory struck him like a bolt of lightning, snapping him out of his thoughts. On impulse, he shoved Milly away from him.
The force of his push nearly sent her sprawling to the ground.
Tears immediately welled up in her eyes.
“Nolan, what’s going on? Why are you doing this? You’re hurting me.”
