Juno’s POV
“Secure her to the chair,” I ordered.
Garth hesitated for just a moment, fear flashing in his eyes before he complied, binding Eliza’s hands to the armrests of the specially designed interrogation chair.
“Please, Luna, don’t do this,” Eliza begged, her voice cracking. “You didn’t do this to Mira. Just lock me up instead!”
I moved closer, looking down at her. “Do you know what betrayal looks like, Eliza?*
She only sobbed in response.
“It looks like you,” I continued. “Someone I trusted, someone I gave a chance to, working against me all along.‘
“I’m sorry!” she cried. “I’ve changed! I told you about them! I’ll work harder, I’ll get you more information-*
The door opened, and Freya and Scarlett entered. Eliza’s eyes widened in terror when she saw them.
Freya handed me a glass of orange juice. I took a sip, savoring the sweet tanginess.
“Did you bring the tonic?” I asked casually.
Scarlett smiled grimly, pulling out a small vial of purple liquid and a syringe. “Snake grass extract from Emberhill, specifically designed to target werewolf nerve endings.”
Eliza’s breathing quickened, her chest rising and falling rapidly.
“What does it do?” I asked, though I already knew the answer.
“Once injected, it creates an intense burning sensation that spreads from the injection site throughout the body,” Scarlett explained clinically. “The pain lasts about an hour. I’ve brought the partial antidote as well.”
She held up another vial with clear liquid. “This reduces the pain by about fifty percent. The full antidote requires three injections to completely clear the toxin.”
I nodded, turning back to Eliza. “Here’s how this will work. I’ll ask you questions. If you answer truthfully, you get a dose
of the partial antidote. If you lie or refuse to answer, the toxin continues to work. Understand?”
Eliza nodded frantically, tears still streaming down her face.
“Good. Now, tell me what betrayal looks like.”
“I don’t know,” she sobbed.
“That’s right,” I agreed. I nodded to Scarlett, who approached with the syringe.
Scarlett injected the purple liquid into Eliza’s left arm. Almost immediately, Eliza screamed, her body jerking against the restraints. Sweat broke out across her forehead as she gasped in pain.

Chapter 268
“It burns,” she whimpered, her voice strained. Please… it hurts so much… I’ll tell you anything
“I tried to give you a chance,” I said, leaning against the wall. “I wanted to believe you were just misguided, not evil Bu you betrayed my trust.”
“Did you tell Qiana about your capture and our agreement?” I asked.
Eliza nodded frantically, pain etched across her features. “Yes… yes, I told her everything….
I nodded to Scarlett, who administered the first dose of the partial antidote. Eliza’s body relaxed slightly, though she
continued to tremble.
“Why did you betray me?” I pressed.
“They promised me position,” Eliza gasped between breaths. “Said they had people in the Elder Council who could elevate
my status.”
I cut her off. “You’re lying. You weren’t a tribute; you were sent by your father to be matched with Augustin. You already
had status.”
Her eyes widened in fear.
“Every lie earns you more toxin,” I warned, and nodded to Scarlett again.
The second injection made Eliza shriek even louder, her back arching in agony.
“Please! No more!” she begged, her voice raw.
“What was the seal used for?” I asked.
“To create attack orders in Fireland,” she gasped through the pain. “To be approved by the Council so Clifflands could send troops to Fireland.”
I nodded, satisfied with her truthful answer. “Give her the second partial antidote.”
After Scarlett administered it, I continued, “What’s their next move?”
Eliza took several deep breaths as the pain subsided further. “They’re planning to move against Luna Amelia Levenston. They’re going to accuse her of crimes and arrest her after the competition.”
My interest piqued. “What do they have on Luna Amelia?”
“Helena Holbrooke’s testimony,” Eliza replied, her voice weak.
“Explain.”
“Helena arranged for her testimony to/be delivered to the Council if anything happens to her. It cla to kill her because she knew a secret/
Luna Amelia tried
“What secret?” I demanded.
Eliza hesitated, and I could see the toxin beginning to take effect again as her face contorted.

Chapter 268
“Luna Amelia supposedly leaked Alpha King Nathanael’s identity, leading to his death, she rushed out. “She claim Nathanael wanted his other son to take the throne, not Augustin.”
My heart stuttered. Was this why they were looking for Chris? I kept my face impassive.
“These are lies,” I stated flatly. “They’re using a grieving woman’s tragedy for their purposes. Is there any evidence besides Helena’s testimony?”
“Not that I know of,” Eliza whispered.
I stepped closer to her. “You could have had a bright future, Eliza. Instead, you threw it all away for nothing.”
I turned to Garth. “Take her to the black cells. She’ll be tried for treason with the maximum penalty.”
“No, please!” Eliza cried, knowing what that meant.
“You’ve proven you can’t be rehabilitated,” I said coldly. “I can’t let you continue to create problems for me and my husband in this manor.”
I walked toward the door, leaving her sobbing behind me. Her cries echoed down the corridor, but I tuned them out. She’d made her choices. Now she would face the consequences.
Handle her, Garth, I instructed through our link. We’ve prepared a second interrogation room for Nia and Remy. I’ll question them next, then see Isabelle.
“Did you see how quickly she broke when the toxin hit her system?” Freya commented, keeping pace beside me as we headed toward the second interrogation room where Nia and Remy were being held. “All that attitude disappeared in
seconds.”
I gave a light chuckle, appreciating Freya’s enthusiasm. The support of my friends meant everything, especially after dealing with traitors like Eliza. “She certainly didn’t expect it.”

“She got what she deserved,” Scarlett added, tossing her curls over her shoulder. “If you ask me, you went easy on her. Anyone who betrays Luna Berry deserves much worse
The nickname made me smile despite the heaviness of the situation. It had been a long day of interrogations and revelations, but having Freya and Scarlett by my side made it bearable.
“We’ve still got Remy and Nia to deal with,” I reminded them, my hand instinctively moving to my belly.
Freya glanced at me as we turned a corner. “By the way, I’ve been meaning to tell you something about Amelia and that Helena situation.”
