Chapter 231
Sharon shot Daniel a look full of disdain, which only made him angrier. He snapped, “Am I wrong?”
Sharon retorted, “You? You could never run the forum. He handed it over to me just to let you guys retire and enjoy your lives. He left all the danger to me, and yet you still don’t appreciate it.”
Her eyes turned cold. “Honestly, I’d feel a lot better if you were dead.”
As soon as she finished, Sharon twisted her hand free in a strange way and kicked Daniel hard, sending him flying.
In a split second, she lunged and pinned Daniel to the ground.
Daniel’s men around them reacted quickly, but not as fast as Sharon.
Sharon looked at them. “You guys can’t keep up with me. Is someone like Daniel really worth following? He just used one of you as a human shield. He’s not worth it.”
Cameron spoke up, “Our boss may be new, but no one who’s followed her has ever been betrayed like that.”
Jannie added, “Stick with Daniel, and you’re dead for sure. He’ll kill you himself just to keep his secrets. At least our boss isn’t that heartless.”
Their words made the men hesitate. They thought, ‘We are all outlaws anyway. What does it matter who we follow?“,
Sharon said, “Even if you try now, you won’t beat me. You should’ve realized that back in the warehouse.”
That was the truth. Sometimes, strength was the only thing that mattered.
The air was thick with tension.
Rileyueen called out, “Boss, someone’s coming.”
Sharon narrowed her eyes. “I’ll give you time to think. You can take the chopper and leave. Daniel stays. If you want to stay with him, you can, but you’ll be leaving your lives here too.”
The choice was already clear. After a moment’s hesitation, those guys finally left by chopper.
Sharon let out a sigh of relief and released Daniel. He kept whimpering. After all, she’d dislocated his jaw.
Daniel could only watch helplessly as his own men betrayed him, furious to the point of bursting.
Sharon lowered her gaze to Daniel, who was sprawled on the ground like a dead fish, barely hanging on.
She dragged Daniel right to the edge of the cliff, feeling the valley’s damp, stifling wind on her face.
She said, “Before you die, let me tell you a secret.”
Sharon looked down at Daniel. His eyes were full of unwillingness, hatred, and rage.
She gave a faint smirk and said, “I killed your boss/
With a kick, Sharon sent Daniel over the edge. Daniel stared at Sharon in utter shock, thinking, ‘No way. That’s impossible.
Sharon watched Daniel fall, her tone light and airy. She knew Daniel would never believe it.
Back then, the boss of the Hunter Forum collected kids from all over—Cameron, Riley, Jannie, they were all part of it.
Later, Sharon got tricked and dragged in too.

Chapter 231
She’d once saved that man’s life, but for people like them, a favor like that meant nothing.
If they didn’t want to be used as a tool, they could only rely on themselves,
So Sharon and her friends teamed up, killed the boss of the Hunter Forum, took his place, and staged an “accident“.
They’d kept it under wraps all these years, and no one ever found out.
As for Daniel, he’d never get the chance to spill the secret now.

Cameron stood off to the side, gazing at the waterfall crashing down the cliff. If someone fell from here, there was almost no chance they’d make it out
alive.
Cameron suddenly snapped back to reality. “Boss, I’m gonna go find a place to lay low.”
After all, his face had already been exposed, so he couldn’t risk showing up again.
He turned and slipped into the nearby woods. He thought, ‘I should’ve just left with the chopper. Why am I stuck hiding out here like some caveman?‘
It wasn’t long before Nicholas caught up.
When he saw the girl standing at the edge of the cliff, he finally let out a sigh of relief and strode over. “Are you alright?”
Sharon replied, “I’m fine.”
Seeing the worry on his face, Sharon couldn’t help but feel a little guilty. After all, he just broke the academy’s rules for her.
“That’s good.” Nicholas walked over and pulled her into his arms. “Don’t go wandering off alone next time. It’s dangerous.”
Sharon replied, “I know.”
Sharon leaned against his chest, her face pressed to his uniform. The fabric was a bit stiff, and honestly, it wasn’t that comfortable.
But for some reason, she felt strangely at ease this time.
The two of them hugged by the cliff. The scenery there was beautiful, which was a pretty picture.
Brent leaned nearby, making sure no one went over to bother them. He thought, ‘It’s not every day Boss gets to play the hero.’
But his gaze drifted to the side–there were two other young people, a guy and a woman, both looking a bit roughed up, with bloodstains on them.
Brent felt there was something off about them. He couldn’t quite put his finger on it, like he’d suddenly forgotten something important.
