Love in New Memories
Chapter 110 Unwelcome Visitor

The Summers and Hale families had poured all their efforts into the wedding preparations, only to become the town’s biggest joke. How could they not be livid?
“You useless fool!”
In a fit of fury, Calum flung the cup in his hand, striking Eric directly on the forehead.
Eric’s affair with Sharon had recently come to light, and Jessica refused to back down. She showed up at the Hale estate in tears almost daily, leaving Calum with a pounding headache.
He had even cut himself off from visitors for an entire week. And now, as if that wasn’t enough, Nolan’s firstborn had vanished.
Calum’s chest heaved with rage, his expression as dark as a brewing storm.
“Amelia is nothing but a thorn in our side. Take care of her.”
Years ago, it was because of her that Dylan was confined to a wheelchair. And now, she bore the blame for causing the death of his great–grandchild. Calum had no intention of showing mercy.
When Calum decided to act, no one in Solandis could evade his reach.
However, the men he dispatched soon returned with unexpected information. Amelia had sought shelter in Dylan’s Palm Bay estate.
Calum cherished his youngest son more than anyone. Brilliant from an early age, Dylan had never stumbled. Even after spending the last two years overseas recovering from his injuries, he had already made his mark on Wall Street. It was as though fate itself had favored the Hale bloodline.
A man like him could not afford to be stained by the likes of Amelia.
Still, Calum was concerned about appearances. As the family patriarch, it would be beneath him to handle matters personally with a junior. So, he had someone discreetly gauge the Summers family’s intentions. In the end, he decided to follow their advice and have Amelia committed to a psychiatric hital first. As for persuading Dylan, he sent Carrie to handle it.
Carrie was naturally lively and had always been close to Dylan.
When Carrie learned that Amelia had the audacity to hide out in Palm Bay, her scalp prickled with rage. Everyone knew it was Amelia who caused Dylan’s car accident two years ago.
Back then, Amelia had just graduated. For reasons no one fully understood, her uncle had shown up at the ceremony, and afterward, she had left with him. The accident happened soon after. That shameless woman. escaped without a single injury, while her uncle ended up confined to a wheelchair.
How could someone be so brazen?
Burning with anger, Carrie rushed straight to Palm Bay. It was still early morning; Dylan had already gone to work, and Amelia, reluctant to step outside, remained at home.
When the doorbell rang, she opened it herself, only to find a furious young woman standing before her.
Without saying a word, the girl raised her hand, aiming to slap her.

But Amelia swiftly caught her wrist mid–swing..
“And who might you be?”
“Amelia! You have no business being in Palm Bay! How did you even get in here? Get out immediately!
Amelia guessed the woman was likely one of Dylan’s admirers. She let go of Carrie’s hand, frowned slightly, and responded in a composed, steady voice.
“I’m here to assist with Mr. Hale’s treatment.”
Carrie froze, momentarily shocked by Amelia’s boldness.
She suddenly charged at Ameli, her face flushed with anger.
Before she could react, Amelia was knocked to the ground.
Carrie snatched a vase from a nearby table and swung it at Amelia’s face with brutal force.
Amelia hadn’t expected such savagery. She raised her hand to block the blow, but the vase shattered on impact, and jagged shards of porcelain sliced into her palm.
Carrie’s chest heaved as she stood over her, eyes wild and bloodshot.
“I won’t let you anywhere near Dylan! You’ll pay for what you did to Milly’s child. Even if I end your life, the Hale family will still shield me.”
For someone so young, her cruelty was truly chilling.
Amelia lashed out with a kick, knocking Carrie off balance. But Carrie wasn’t done. Still seething, she reached into the cabinet and grabbed another vase.
“Go to hell!”
Before the vase could come crashing down, a voice cut through the tension.
“What are you doing?”
Carrie froze. She looked up to see Dylan sitting in his wheelchair just outside the room.
“Dylan!”
Wasn’t he meant to be at work?
Dylan’s brows furrowed as his eyes landed on Amelia, who was holding her wounded hand. His tone grew cold.
“What happened here?”
Carrie quickly set the vase down and rushed to his side.
“Dylan, how could you let that woman into Palm Bay? Have you forgotten it was because of her that your leg ended up like this? She’s also responsible for Nolan losing his child. I hate her! Why is she still alive?”
Her voice grew sharper with each word. She knelt in front of Dylan, her face flushed with anger.

Dylan shifted slightly, clearly uncomfortable with her closeness. “Who allowed you to come here?”

“I came on my own. You can’t keep me away, Dylan. She needs to pay for what she did to Nolan’s child.”
Dylan’s voice turned cold as he looked at Nathan standing nearby. “See her out.”
Shock flickered in Carrie’s eyes. It took her a moment to collect herself before she rose to her feet, her face pale.
“Dylan…”
But the bodyguard was already standing behind her.
She shot Amelia a venomous glare, stomped her foot, and stormed off, clearly unwilling to leave.
Amelia couldn’t shake the feeling that something about Carrie’s attitude toward Dylan was off. The way she looked at him didn’t seem like how one would regard an elder.
Lowering her lashes, Amelia silently pressed her wounded palm.
