Chapter 289
The technicians began playing the video on the large screen. The first image showed Henry standing at the corridor railing, smoking a cigarette, looking down at the main hall from his elevated position. Shortly afterward, Isabella appeared beside him, her face animated with a bright smile and eyes filled with adoration.
The footage clearly showed Isabella holding what appeared to be a perfume bottle, repeatedly spraying it into the air around them. As she approached Henry, she moved uncomfortably close, almost pressing against him. Henry visibly recoiled, stepping away to maintain distance.
Then, suddenly, Henry’s demeanor changed. His expression became disoriented, followed by a complete loss of consciousness. He moved like a puppet with cut strings, his gaze vacant, his movements sluggish. The video continued to the scene of Isabella removing her clothes.
Some of the younger female guests lowered their heads in embarrassment. Others stole furtive glances at the screen. Among the men, there were inappropriate jokes and comments.
The footage concluded with Henry rushing past Isabella to scoop up Sophia, carrying her into a guest room and closing the door behind them.
Richard waited for the video to end before speaking again. “Did everyone see that? My son was perfectly normal until Isabella sprayed that so–called perfume. His behavior changed dramatically afterward.”
He pointed to the screen. “This indicates that the bottle contained something other than perfume. I’ve invited medical specialists to examine the evidence and provide their conclusions.”
While Richard was speaking, the entire security team had been searching for the mysterious bottle, turning the second floor upside down. Despite their thorough search, they couldn’t locate it. Nevertheless, the medical experts had managed to extract residual compounds from the air and surfaces.
Their conclusion was chilling: “This was a highly concentrated aphrodisiac. Just three milligrams would be enough to cause uncontrollable sexual arousal in an adult male. A higher dose could potentially lead to physical exhaustion.”
Lill shocked
By this time, Isabella had been brought back to the main hall, dressed but firmly restrained by security personnel. The crowd’s judgment was merciless, with whispers and pointed fingers following her every movement. Catheri from Richard’s slap, was similarly held in place by guards, forced to watch the proceedings from a distance.
Richard continued, his voice carrying throughout the hall: “What Isabella sprayed was not perfume but a specially formulated aphrodisiac. Anyone affected by this drug would be driven to seek sexual release until complete exhaustion.” He paused deliberately, gauging the audience’s reaction.
The murmurs grew louder, more condemning:
“How despicable! Using such filthy tactics because Henry refused to sleep with her!”
“She acts so pure and innocent, but she’s actually this desperate? If she needed a man that badly, she could have just asked! Many of us would have been happy to oblige!”
“The funniest part is that even drugged out of his mind, Henry didn’t even look at her. How pathetic can you get?”
Grace, who had been by Isabella’s side throughout this tribunal, was stunned into silence when she saw the content on screen, her mouth hanging open in disbelief.

Chapter 289
The drug Isabella had used was reportedly newly developed, with unknown side effects on the human body. And she had used it on Henry without hesitation! Grace might be spoiled and willful, but she genuinely loved her brother.
Henry had suffered from heart problems in his earlier years. Although his condition had improved significantly after a heart transplant, he still needed to avoid certain substances, particularly strong medications. How could Isabella risk harming him like this?
Despite her fondness for Isabella and her desire to see her become her sister–in–law, Isabella’s actions this time shattered any remaining loyalty Grace felt toward her.
In an instant, Grace’s hand flew through the air, delivering a stinging slap to Isabella’s face. Tears filled her eyes as she confronted the woman she had once admired.
“How could you do this to my brother?” she cried, her voice breaking with emotion. “His health is fragile! If this drug damages his heart, you could have killed him!”
Grace suddenly realized something profound. She might dislike Sophia, but Sophia had never deliberately endangered Henry’s health. In fact, she had always taken exceptional care of him. Isabella, whom she had championed, had now shown her true colors–she cared nothing for Henry.
“Your love for my brother was all fake,” Grace continued, her voice trembling. “If you truly loved him, how could you hurt him like this?”
Isabella barely registered the slap, her head turning with the impact. At this point, what did another humiliation matter? She had gambled everything on this final play. If she failed, she was prepared to bring down the entire Harding family with her.
“Richard,” she said coldly, addressing him by name, “what proof do you have that I drugged Henry? Where’s your evidence?”
Richard, momentarily taken aback by her audacity, quickly recovered. “The video footage is our evidence,” he replied firmly. “You were clearly seen repeatedly spraying something from that bottle. What more proof do we need?”
