Sharon rubbed her temples, feeling a splitting headache for the first time.
She thought, The guy who just came to negotiate was Brent, and the “boss” he mentioned must be Micholas.
‘Brent also said they’ve got this place locked down, which means the place was crawling with people from the House of Obsidian. My plan was doomed
from the start.
I’m really not sure I can take on Nicholas. What if things get physical and I end up hurting him? Or worse, what if he figures out what really am
For the first time, Sharon found herself in such a tough spot. She wondered, ‘Why did it have to be him?

“Do you really know what you’re doing? I think you’ve completely lost your head over a woman. I’m seriously starting to question if you’re even qualified to be the gatekeeper. I’m ordering you–get moving, now!”
Nicholas‘ expression was cold and unmoved. He stayed silent, and no one dared to move.
That just made the team leader furious. He was supposed to outrank everyone here, but nobody listened to him.
He thought, ‘I’ll definitely report all of this when we go back. Nicholas‘ actions are already a serious violation of the academy’s rules.
Margaret hesitated at the scene, wanting to say something but holding back. “Mr. Baxter, as long as we keep quiet, she won’t find out.”
Margaret thought, ‘Doing all this for Sharon is definitely going to cause a lot of trouble once we go back.
‘If we fail to catch Daniel, someone is definitely going to be held responsible.’
Nicholas said, “But I can’t lie to myself.”
He didn’t want to lie, and he looked down on lying.
He’d promised to find the person behind all this for Sharon, so he absolutely wouldn’t lie or make excuses for himself.
If the mastermind really ended up dead, he’d still tell Sharon the truth.
Margaret opened his mouth, but in the end, she didn’t say anything. She’d never seen Nicholas go this far for a girl, completely ignoring his own well- being.

Suddenly, Daniel felt a chill running down his spine. “Why are you looking at me like that? There are lower than five minutes left. Are you sure you can kill me that fast? I’ve got people hidden here. If you kill me, they’ll expose you.”
“How will know if I don’t try?” Sharon suddenly jumped down from above, her eyes turning ice–cold.
She sneered, “Thanks for the reminder. Time’s almost up.” She figured that she gotta wrap this up as fast as possible.
“You’re insane.” Daniel dodged her first attack and then shot her a look. “Don’t forget what you’re wearing. Anyone can tell who you are at a glance.
The air instantly went dead silent.
Sharon looked down and saw the big, bold “Solar Flare” printed on her coat.
She cursed inwardly, ‘Why the hell did I wear this today?‘
