Chapter 221
Jannie started coughing like crazy, thinking, ‘Oops, I’m screwed. The one thing Boss can never get over is her height.
If the Boss were 5’7“, I can’t even imagine how many girls would be falling for her. Guess the universe really is fair
Jannie quickly poured Sharon some water. “Here, boss, have some water. I picked out an outfit for you that’s insanely cool. Girls will scream, and guys will be jealous, you know.”
Sharon replied, “Alright, get ready. We’re heading out.”
Sharon looked at Joan. “You need to stay here and cover for me. If anything comes up, call me.”
“Yes, ma’am. Please be careful. If anything happens to you, I will be kicked out,” Joan replied.
Joan looked super anxious. She knew Sharon probably had another identity she didn’t want exposed yet, and being her personal bodyguard was seriously tough.
Joan thought, “We’ve got so many secrets to keep. Now Madam is heading out for some fun, and what I can do is stay in the hotel and play games/
“I know. I won’t get hurt.” Sharon patted Joan on the shoulder. “Thanks.”
Sharon knew this put Joan in a tough spot, but Joan worked for her now, so she didn’t really have a choice.
Sharon headed straight to her room to change and put on her disguise.
Half an hour later, she walked out in black knee–high boots and a black long–sleeved shirt. A few buttons were undone just to show off her collarbone.
Her arms were covered in tattoos–black dragons, fierce and wild.
She wore a wig and big brown sunglasses that hid most of her face.
She looked like a completely different person. Gone was the sweet girl. Now, she looked like a total biker teenager, the kind no one wanted to mess with.
With a toothpick dangling from her lips, Sharon strolled over to Joan, looking lazy and cool. “How’s the outfit?”
“You look so cool.” Joan was practically bouncing with excitement. She really wanted to snap a photo to remember this look.
Joan thought, ‘Ms. Vance looks amazing in this kind of badass outfit.‘
“I mean, can you still tell it’s me?” Sharon took off her sunglasses and looked up at Joan. “If I take off the shades, would you still recognize me?”
Joan hesitated. “Uh, you want the truth?”
Sharon put the sunglasses back on and said, “Forget it.”
Sharon thought, ‘Since she said that, it’s obvious she can still tell it’s me.‘
Jannie explained from the side, “If you painted the tattoos on, it wouldn’t look as good with this outfit, and it’d just waste time.”
Sharon replied, “Alright, this’ll do.”
She figured she probably wouldn’t need to do anything herself this time. After all, the target was already caught.
Their time was tight. The longer they waited, the more likely they’d get exposed.
Cameron spoke up, “Boss, check out our uniforms. Aren’t they cool?”
Chapter 221
Jannie chimed in, “Yeah, it’s been ages since you wore the outfit. What better way to make your first appearance?”
Sharon didn’t say no. She slipped on the black jacket, with the words “Solar flare” printed across the back.
On the backs of Cameron, Riley, and Jannie’s jackets were their names.
Sharon facepalmed. “You are afraid people won’t know exactly who we are?”
She thought, ‘Might as well just write it on our foreheads and get ourselves caught.’
Cameron grinned. “Relax, Boss. This style is all the rage on Amazon right now. Tons of photo studios use these for those quirky photoshoots. No one will suspect a thing.”
Riley chimed in, “Yeah, Boss. If your brothers show up, we’ll just say we’re doing a photoshoot. Easy”
Jannie added, “Everything’s set. No way we’ll get exposed.”
Sharon thought, ‘Alright, let’s go with this.‘
When it came to these things, she still trusted her team. After all, the most dangerous place was often the safest.
The three of them swaggered out of the room.
Joan was standing in the living room. When she saw the names on the backs of their jackets, she thought blankly, ‘These jackets are actually pretty cool.
‘But they look kind of familiar. I just can’t recall where I’ve seen them before. Have I seen this design somewhere in the past? Maybe.’
Joan fell into deep thought, but no matter how hard she tried, she just couldn’t remember. She complained inwardly, ‘Why can’t I recall it?”
Sharon and her crew slipped into the car through a secret passage and headed straight for the warehouse on the outskirts.
She leaned back in her seat. “So, how’d you track down the mastermind? Did you get anything out of him?”
“Funny story–he basically walked right into our trap. All the families have been hunting for him lately, and the Baxter family has been making the biggest scene. He couldn’t stay hidden, so he came to our forum and bought our hiding service,” one of them explained.
‘Talk about the hunter walking right into the trap. Couldn’t have been easier. What are the odds? Who would’ve thought the wildest place turned out to be his own downfall?‘ thought Sharon with a chuckle.
Cameron added, “As for the rest, they’re still questioning him, We’ll probably know more once we get there.”
Riley chimed in, “Boss, there’s an admin from the forum who wants to see you.”
Sharon raised an eyebrow. “Wants to see me?”
Jannie nodded. “Yeah, that admin is one of the guys you saved before. He’s called Daniel. You remember him, right?”
Sharon remembered him. Daniel Walker was now the head admin of the forum.
Sharon rubbed her temples. “Admins only show up when there’s trouble. They’re always a headache.”
Jannie joked, “Maybe it’s because you’ve spent too many Hunter Coins, Boss. Daniel’s probably here to complain.”
Sharon shrugged. “What’s the point of earning all those coins if I don’t spend them?”
Cameron shot Sharon a look as if saying she was burning money.

He wondered, ‘Do you even know how hard it is to make those coins?
As they chatted, the car cruised steadily toward the warehouse.

Meanwhile, Nicholas had just gotten word from the Hunter Forum that the mastermind was hiding out at the warehouse on the outskirts
The moment he saw the message, his eyes went cold. “Get everyone together. We’re heading out.”
He swore to himself, ‘This time, there’s no way I’m letting her slip away!
