Chapter 220
Chapter 220
Vivian, standing nearby, looked just as shocked. She’d already guessed how Lydia’s phone call would turn out.
This hotel had some serious connections—even her brother Caesar tried to get a supreme VIP membership here and got turned down.
That alone showed just how untouchable this place was,
Vivian only wanted to watch Lydia embarrass herself, but she never expected that one sentence from Sharon would get the general manager to blacklist Lydia on the spot.
Vivian’s view of Sharon completely changed. She wondered, ‘Who exactly is she? The head of the Vance family? No way. Even if the Baxter family’s head showed up, they wouldn’t get this kind of treatment.‘
Vivian eyed Sharon suspiciously, while Lydia was escorted out.
Sharon’s eyes stayed cold. She didn’t even glance at Vivian and headed straight for the private passage.
She was short on time and didn’t want to waste a second here.
Sharon thought, ‘Someone like Lydia is just a nuisance. Keeping her around would only cause trouble.’
Sharon walked to the elevator with a frosty expression. The general manager hurried to explain, “That was just an accident.”
“I only care about results, not excuses.” Her voice was ice–cold as she stared at her own reflection in the gleaming elevator doors. “Don’t let it happen again,”
“Absolutely.” The general manager wiped the sweat from his forehead and finally let out a sigh of relief.
Joan had been standing quietly to the side, practically invisible.
Whenever she’d come here before, she was never allowed to walk with Sharon.
But this time, Sharon only brought Joan along, and from the general manager’s attitude, Joan realized something huge–the way he treated Joan was just too strange.
This wasn’t how he treated a supreme VIP; it was more like how he treated his boss.
Joan swallowed nervously, her eyes darting. She felt like she’d just learned way too much.
She thought, ‘Oh my, Ms. Vance is seriously amazing. I’m so excited. I wish I could tell the whole world and totally rub it in everyone’s faces.”
But Joan quickly pulled herself together. She told herself, ‘As Ms. Vance’s right hand, I have to keep my cool. I can’t act like I’ve never seen the world before.‘
Sharon walked into the exclusive room on the top floor, where her crew was already waiting.
When Cameron spotted Joan, a flash of caution flickered in his eyes, his sharp, pale features looking even more intense.
Sharon said coolly, “She’s with us.”
The next second, Cameron said, “Oh, I see. Hey there, pretty lady, I’m Cameron. You can call me Cam if you want.”
Cameron wondered, ‘Wow, this girl is gorgeous and hot–totally my type. Boss is seriously the best. She actually brought in my dream girl as a teammate, Boss basically found me a girlfriend.‘

Joan was a bit stunned by how enthusiastic this guy suddenly got.
Just a moment ago, he was all cold and distant, and now he was clinging to her hand like an overexcited fanboy. Honestly, it was a BM
Joan thought, ‘He actually looked pretty handsome when he was aloof. Too bad that only lasted about three seconds!
Jannie clicked her tongue. “Come on, Cam, have a little self–respect. If outsiders saw this, they’d think we’re all shallow
Joan’s face froze, and she thought, ‘Looks like not everyone in Ms. Vance’s crew likes me.‘
“Ignore her,” Cameron explained. “That’s Jannie. She’s never liked hot women with killer bodies like you. She’s just jealous.”
“Jealous? Me? You mean I’m not hot?” Jannie retorted.
Jannie huffed and stormed over to Joan, standing up straight and

‘This is really humiliating
Jannie flopped down on the sofa, sulking and thinking, ‘Why am I not as hot as
Joan smiled, “Honestly, you’re pretty cute the way you are.”
“Hmph, I don’t need your compliments,” Jannie grumbled.
Sharon pressed her hand to her forehead, feeling a headache again.
she?‘
She glanced at Jannie and said, “At least you don’t look like a middle schooler, unlike me.”
Sharon had a baby face and a petite frame. That was probably her real pain in life.
She thought bitterly, ‘Why am I so short? All my brothers are over 5’11“, but why am I stuck at 5’2“‘?‘
