Meanwhile, Sophia made a call to Nate, the man who tried to take advantage of Amelia. Initially, she wanted to ask if everything had gone smoothly at the hotel. She was curious to know whether Amelia was nothing. but damaged goods at that point.

Sophia immediately headed for Nolan’s office. She sounded hesitant as she reported to him. “Mr. Hale, I’m not sure if I should mention this, but my friend saw Amelia going to a hotel with one of our former business partners last night.”
Nolan had been racking his brain for a way to approach Amelia. Upon hearing Sophia’s report, he looked up at her right away.
“Are you sure? Who did she go with?”
“It was Nate Cooper. He was one of Hale Corporation’s business partners.”
Nolan nearly snapped the pen in half. Everyone knew about Nate’s sordid reputation. He loved drugging women before taking pictures to blackmail them into ongoing affairs. If they refused, he would use those photos and videos to ruin them.
No one in the elite circle sympathized with those victims. After all, Nate had plenty of money. If he couldn’t pay off those women, he would simply drive them into despair.
Nolan took a deep breath. His expression had turned grim.

“You were with Amelia last night. Did you take photos of her?”
Nate didn’t actually know Amelia. Although the elite circle was well aware of her pursuing Nolan, he and Nate belonged in different leagues.
