The exhibition hall was unique in every aspect–wealth and influence were merely the entry requirements. I found Julia and successfully convinced her to cover for me. After arranging the time, I smiled. “Everything’s arranged!”
We agreed on a meeting time and place. I quickly changed out of my nurse’s uniform and headed toward the hospital exit, feeling as if the next moment I would be standing in that enchanting exhibition hall.
As I stepped outside, just before I could hail a taxi, a luxury car pulled up beside me. Alexander leaned over to open the passenger door.
“Sophia! Get in!” he called.
Without hesitation, I slid into the seat with a grateful smile. “Thank you again, Alexander. These tickets are truly hard to obtain. I’m so excited I can hardly think straight.”
My joy was evident–I could feel my smile stretching from ear to eaf.

Meanwhile, across town, the mood in Henry’s black Rolls–Royce was markedly different. After the press conference ended, he headed straight for the hospital, intending to see Sophia.
