“What the hell? How did we end up here?” Marvin was just as surprised. “I thought we were visiting the film set
Joan explained, “Mr. Patrick Vance’s crew is shooting right here. I heard it’s a coming–of–age movie about an esports team.”
Marvin scratched his head. “Oh, right. I forgot it was today.”
Sharon shrugged. “Well, since we’re already here, might as well take a look.” She could settle some unfinished business with Jose from NovaCore as well She narrowed her charming eyes.
Joan noticed Sharon’s expression and smirked. She thought, ‘That bastard really has bad luck. He is a member of Mr. Marvin Vance’s team, and he even bullied Ms. Vance’s apprentice. Game over for that poor guy.‘
Sharon followed Marvin into the set.
As the base owner, Marvin waltzed past security and brought Sharon in.
Sharon spotted Patrick in full esports gear, locked in a heated argument with a girl.
Marvin plopped down next to William Baker, the director.
William greeted. “Hello, Mr. Marvin Vance.”
“Yep, just dropping by.” Marvin grinned.
William’s eyes lit up when he noticed Sharon, cute and demure. “Mr. Marvin Vance, is your new girlfriend interested in acting?”
Marvin rolled his eyes. “Girlfriend? She’s my little princess, got it?”
William smiled and couldn’t help thinking, ‘Yeah, I know. This little princess will become your girlfriend anyway.’
Marvin turned to Sharon. “You wanna try acting?”
“Could I?” Sharon’s eyes lit up. She was interested in it. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have come.
William jumped at the opportunity. “Absolutely. Miss, you’d be perfect for a supporting role. It’s small but pivotal. You may give it a try.”
Marvin stroked his chin. “Fine, but no kissing scenes, no steamy scenes, and no skimpy outfits.”
“Mr. Marvin Vance, don’t worry,” William assured him. “I’ll keep it tasteful.”
Truth was, William had been struggling to find the right person for that role, and now, seeing Sharon, he couldn’t have asked for a better fit.
“Cut!” William called out, ending the current scene.
Patrick spotted the person next to William and strode over. “You’re here.”
Sharon smiled, “It all looks so fascinating. You’re amazing, Pat.”
Patrick suggested, “If you’re interested, why not make a cameo? William, didn’t you say we still needed someone for the first love role?”
William blinked, then quickly recovered. “Absolutely. I was just discussing this with Mr. Marvin Vance. No objections at all.”
“Good.” Patrick nodded.

William’s gaze at Sharon turned speculative. He thought, ‘This girl called Patrick casually. Would the marry Mr. Marvin Vance someday?
William hadn’t even considered the possibility that Sharon was Marvin’s sister.
“Pat, do you have more scenes now?” Sharon asked.
Patrick replied, “Taking a break first. My next scene isn’t until later.”
Sharon nodded and glanced at the nearby esports base. “I want to take a walk over there.”
Marvin immediately offered. “Sure, I’ll show you around.” He led her straight there.
After the three of them left, whispers immediately spread across the set. “William, who’s that girl? Mr. Marvin Vance’s new girlfriend?”
“No way. Mr. Marvin Vance had girlfriends, but Patrick’s attitude is strange today. Did you see how gentle he was with that girl just now?”
“Who is she anyway? She’s really pretty and cute.”
William squinted. “Enough speculation. Prep the next scene.”
He thought, ‘Whatever the girl’s background, with Marvin’s backing, she can become famous easily.’
As they walked toward the training base, Sharon asked Patrick about the script. She looked at him. “What’s the story of the movie about?”
“A love story,” Patrick replied.
Marvin chimed in, “Shari, you play The Throne of Kings. Have you ever heard of ShadowDeer? This movie is based on their partnership.”
“ShadowDeer?” Sharon blinked.
Joan nearly choked trying to suppress her laughter. She thought, ‘The real Shadow is standing right here! This is too funny!‘
