no’s POV
“What if you became our informant within the organization? I suggested. We have her son. Her won’t betray us.
“What?” Scarlett exclaimed behind me. “That’s a terrible idea!*
I turned to look at her. What about Eliza? Freya asked.
I smiled. “Eliza will soon be irrelevant. Augustin and I don’t trust her anyway.”
“What’s the plan?” Freya asked.
Augustin is planning to arrest everyone involved,” I explained. “The idea is to make sure Lyric isn’t arrested. If we can’t catch everyone, Lyric might get promoted within the organization. She might get close enough to the ‘Sovereign‘ or at least to the inner circle.
It was a gamble, but one worth taking. With Fox as leverage, Lyric would have no choice but to cooperate fully. And if she succeeded, we might finally discover who was behind all of this.
Lyric looked at me, her expression a mixture of resignation and determination. She had lost everything, her husband, her son, her freedom. This was her only chance at redemption, and she knew it.
I’ll do it,” she said firmly. “I’ll help you bring them down.”
“Garth,” I called to the guard standing nearby. ‘I need you to go back in and get a complete list of organization members from Lyric.”
Garth nodded solemnly. “Yes, Luna. Anything specific you want me to focus on?”
Get every name she knows, especially those in positions of power. When you’re done, send the list directly to Alpha Levenston.”
As Garth returned to the interrogation room, I leaned against the wall and closed my eyes briefly. The betrayal by Eliza stung more than I’d expected. I’d genuinely believed she was worth saving, that there was good in her. What a fool I’d been to trust someone so easily.
Some people simply aren’t worth redemption, I thought bitterly.
Exhaustion washed over me suddenly, my body reminding me that I needed to rest.
“I need to postpone the other interrogations until tomorrow,” I said, glancing at Scarlett and Freya who stood nearby. “Nia a sleep.
“Good call,” Freya agreed, “You look ready to collapse.”
I linked Augustin. Dear, where are you?
His response came almost immediately. In the resting room with Bryloch and Adryx, discussing strategy. Is everything alright?
I’ll be sending you Lyric’s confession recording. Make sure Kieran and Matthew hear it too, it directly involves them..
I’ll tell them what she said, he replied.
No, I insisted. I want them to hear the actual recording, not a summary from you. It’s important they hear her exact words.
I sensed his understanding. You’re right. It will be more convincing that way.
I’m going back to our room to rest. I’ll deal with the other prisoners tomorrow.
Good. You need the rest, Berry.
and Remy can wait. I need to

The link faded as I turned to Treva and Scarlett. You two should get some sleep as well wall ferones in the manier
They both nodded, looking as tired as I felt. We parted ways at the hallway pretium, each heading to our respectiva numi
Once in my bedroom, I kicked off my shoes and sat heavily on the edge of the bed. As much as I wanted to order Eliza e immediate arrest, tipping her otin would be a mistake. If she realized we were onto her, she might destroy evidence or warh others. Better to let her believe she was still in the lev
I pulled out my phone and called Noah.
Luna, he answered promptly.
Noab, I need you to move Mira to a more secure cell and double the guard. We have reason to believe someone might attempt to free Bert
“Consider it done. Anything else?”
“Make sure the guards are only people you trust completely.”
After hanging up, I lay back on the bed, my mind racing despite my fatigue. Lyric’s list had included some shocking names. Elowen had been among them.
My stomach growled loudly, reminding me I hadn’t eaten in hours. I should order something, but the thought of getting up seemed impossible. Just a short nap first…
Juno? Amelia’s voice filtered through my mind, startling me from the light doze I’d fallen into.
Luna? I responded. Is everything alright?
I wanted to check how the interrogations went. Did you learn anything useful?
I sat up, They were productive. What about your date? Did your companion enjoy the tour of the gardens?
Oh, that. Her tone held a hint of amusement. I have had ulterior motives for taking him away.
I didn’t press. The interrogation with Lyric was enlightening. She provided names, locations, details about their operations.
Good. You know, something similar happened during Nathanael’s time as Alpha King.
Really? This was unexpected information.
Yes. A resistance group tried to overthrow him. They were quite organized, but he was ruthlessly efficient about putting it down.
I frowned slightly. Lyric had mentioned the “king‘ being old. If this had happened during Nathanael’s reign, could these be the same people?
How did Nathanael handle the traitors? I asked.
Oh, brutally. There was a dark edge to her mental voice. Public executions. Family members imprisoned or exiled. He made examples of them. No one dared challenge him after that.
A knock at my door interrupted our mental conversation.
Someone’s at my door, I told her. I think it’s you?
Yes, I wanted to check on you in person. Is that alright?
The door’s unlocked, I replied, ending our link.
The door opened, and Amelia entered, looking concerned but composed in a simple blue dress, her hair pulled back in a loose bun.
“You look exhausted,” she said, approaching the bed. “You should be resting more in your condition.”

I couldn’t help but laugh softly. “You come disturb my rest to tell me I should be resting more?‘
Her lips quirked into a small smile. “Tair point. I was worried about you, that’s all.”
“I’m fine,” I assured her, shifting to make room for her to sit beside me. Just processing everything we learned today.”
Tell me, she said, settling next to me.
