The next morning, sunlight streamed through the windows. Having stayed up late gaming, Sharon overslept, but thankfully, no one disturbed her She could sleep in peacefully.
Waking naturally, Sharon stretched with a yawn just as Joan appeared. “You’re awake, Ms. Vance.”
“Huh, seems I slept in a bit today,” Sharon smiled.
Joan chuckled, “Mr. Richard Vance instructed us to let you rest. He said you must be exhausted from the freshman camp at school.”
Sharon blinked. She thought, ‘Exhausted? I’d only trained for two days before my period hit, after which I’d mostly lounged in the observation area. The fatigue came from last night’s gaming session.”
After changing, she entered the hall, which was unusually empty. All eight brothers were absent. So accustomed to their constant presence, the vacant space made her feel a little off.
“Go in, you brain–dead ADC. Stop feeding!” A man’s frustrated shout echoed through the hall.
Sharon’s gaze landed on the sofa, where Marvin lay sprawled on his back with his phone in hand. She hadn’t expected him to play the game.
“Mr. Marvin Vance,” Joan tactfully announced their presence.
Marvin bolted upright, hastily setting his phone aside. “Shari, you’re up.”
“Mav, you play this game, too?” Sharon asked.
Marvin’s face lit up. “Shari, you’re into it too?”
“Somewhat. We should play together sometime.”
“Hell yes! After breakfast, I’ll carry you to victory. Reaching King Tier will be a breeze.”
Sharon nodded with a sweet smile.
Marvin clutched his chest. He thought, ‘Even my little sister’s obedient act is lethally cute. I must call my team over later and let Shari take all the MVPs.

With that, he hurried off to contact his team members.
Joan watched with a knowing smirk. She thought, ‘Oh, Mr. Marvin Vance will be surprised. Ms. Vance doesn’t need carrying–she is the carry.’
Sharon ate her breakfast with demure elegance, maintaining her “perfect lady” facade.
After she finished her breakfast, Marvin came to her excitedly, “Shari, log in. Time for me to showcase my skills.”
“Sure.” Sharon nodded.
Just then, Enzo approached. “Ms. Vance, Mr. Patrick Vance sent me to fetch you.”
Marvin’s grin vanished. “What the hell? Pat’s supposed to be on set. Why’s he stealing my Shari time?”
He glowered at Enzo and thought, ‘No one takes my sister today!‘
Enzo explained, “Mr. Patrick Vance said it was scheduled yesterday.”
“I don’t care. Not happening!” Marvin crossed his arms, radiating defiance. He wouldn’t let anyone take Sharon away today.

“Mav, come with me,” Sharon smiled, tugging at his sleeve with puppy dog eyes. “I promised Pat I would visit him today. Please? Her voice was syrup. sweet, round cheeks dimpling.
Marvin gritted his teeth. He told himself in his mind, ‘No, I can’t just give in.‘
He wanted to be strict, cold even, but facing Sharon’s pout, he couldn’t even muster a stern tone.
“Mr. Marvin Vance, here’s a towel.” Joan handed Marvin a Marvin without missing a beat. She had seen this exact scene play out a hundred times before.
Marvin pressed the towel against his nose and looked up at the ceiling. He thought, ‘I give up. How can I say no to that cute face?‘
Grudgingly, he followed Sharon into the car and headed for the film set. His expression was still stormy.
“Mav, let’s play a match. I want to rank up.” Sharon took out her phone and nudged his arm.
“Humph, fine,” Marvin huffed as he unlocked his screen. “Only because you asked so nicely.”
They logged in and teamed up. Marvin’s eyes bulged at Sharon’s rank, Star Glory Tier, and he coughed awkwardly. “Shari, you’re… uh, pretty high–level,
huh?”
Sharon glanced at Marvin’s rank, Diamond Tier. She froze. All his big talk, Sharon had assumed he had reached King Tier.
Marvin cleared his throat awkwardly. “Ahem, Shari, I only dropped ranks because of trash teammates! I used to be a Star Glory Tier player.”
His ears burned as he hastily invited three pro players from his team. “These guys will definitely get you to King Tier. Trust me. I paid good money for this
team.”
Within moments, Marvin added three new players to his team.
The moment the IDs loaded, Sharon’s eyes narrowed. She thought, ‘Wait, these look familiar. Isn’t this the NovaCore team I stomped last night?”
She paused for a moment before asking, “Mav, you fund these guys?”
“Right. I’m their boss. They’ll carry you,” Marvin promised, desperate to distract from his mediocre skills.
Joan was amused, thinking, ‘Mr. Marvin Vance, weren’t you just boasting about carrying Ms. Vance?‘
The three players recognized Sharon’s ID. They were shocked, whispering, “Holy shit. Is that the same ID?”
“No mistake. That’s Shadow’s alt account.”
“But what’s his connection to the boss?”
“Rich people have interesting tastes. Is Shadow the boss‘ sugar baby?”
The captain, Miles Patel, nervously messaged Marvin: [Boss, who’s this guy?]
Marvin: [That’s a lady, dumbass.]
Miles: [Lady? She’s your girlfriend, boss?]
Miles was stunned, thinking, ‘Shadow is a girl? But last night’s voice was 100% male!‘
