Chapter 183
“I haven’t used this account for years,” Sharon said as she logged in, collecting various “returning player” gifts and bonus characters.
Seeing the familiar characters she used to play, a cold smirk tugged at her lips. “Let’s do it.”
The 5v5 match began.
When the opposing team saw the Shadow account come online, they were genuinely shocked. They had heard Jannie brag about knowing Shadow before, but no one had taken it seriously. Now, it turned out to be true.
Jose’s teammates hesitated. “Maybe we shouldn’t stream this match.”
“Yeah, what if we lose? It’d be humiliating.”
But Jose’s girlfriend was unwilling. “Honey, you have to win this time. I don’t want to get shown up by your ex again.”
Jose was confident. “Relax, baby. Shadow hasn’t shown up in years. It’s possible he’s not at his peak anymore.”
The stream went live anyway.
Thanks to the name “Shadow,” the live viewership instantly skyrocketed past 100 thousand, and the numbers kept climbing.
Meanwhile, someone sent a screenshot of Shadow’s gameplay into Brent’s group chat.
Brent immediately logged into Nicholas‘ account and sent Shadow a match request. Then, he settled in to watch the stream, thinking, ‘This match should be a no–brainer.‘
The game started.
Sharon picked her old favorite jungler. From past seasons to the current meta, many new characters had been launched, but some remained eternally
dominant.
Brent couldn’t help but get excited. He thought, ‘Shadow is the jungler!‘
Back in the day, whenever Deer’s ADC and Shadow’s jungler were in the same match, it was practically a guaranteed slaughter. Shadow controlled the map, while Deer cleaned up the kills. ShadowDeer–the duo was legendary, nicknamed The Reapers.
Sometimes, Shadow’s jungler even pulled off support–level plays.
This time, Joan took the ADC role, while Riley was the support. Jannie, as usual, stuck to her mage.

Learning from their last defeat, the rival team was far more cautious this time, avoiding reckless plays that would leave them vulnerable to jungle ganks. – Instead, they targeted Jannie in Mid Lane.
Jannie shrieked, “Shari, they’re all coming to me. I’m gonna die!”
“Hold on.” Sharon flanked from behind while Joan attacked from the side.
They secured a quick kill, but as enemy reinforcements arrived, Sharon signaled a retreat.
The opponents taunted over all–chat. “Running away already? Come out and fight.”
Joan was fuming.
Sharon’s voice remained calm. “Ignore them. Stick to the plan. Hunting time starts in one minute. Follow my calls. Don’t let them disrupt our tempo.”
“Got it, Shari. I’m with you.” Jannie had been nervous earlier, but now she was buzzing with excitement. One more minute. Just one more minute!

Chapter 183
No matter how hard the opponents trash talked, Sharon’s team refused to take the bait. The livestream chat exploded mining scenes (an Shadow! Is this even the real Shadow?)
(My idol would never play this scared!)
[Just leave, guys. Fake account for sure.]
[Right? Shadew’s jungler used to be a nightmare in ranked.].
[Shadow is rusty as hell. No wonder he disappeared for years. Look at this garbage gameplay!]
The opposing team even read those comments out loud in real time.
Jannie’s eyes welled up with frustrated tears. “Shari, I’m sorry. This is all my fault.”
Sharon wasn’t rusty. The rival team’s members were five pro players, perfectly coordinated. The two teams were at entirely different levels.
If only Sharon had her old partner, Deer, here, they would have ended this match.
“Time’s up.” Sharon’s voice cut through the tension.
She toggled all–chat, her charming eyes glinting with danger. “Listen up, losers. If you wanna live, stay inside your base. Her gaze locked onto the enently jungler. “As for you, the jungler, meet me at the canyon if you’ve got the balls.”
Jose sneered, “You sure are bold today, brat.”
Sharon retorted, “Not just today. Always. Did you really think I’d be rusty?”
Instantly, the comment area flooded with remarks: [Holy shit! It’s the legendary Shadow’s trash talk.]
[I’m shaking! Is it murder time?]
[Let’s go!]
