Chapter 181
Chapter 181
The cars rolled back to Vance Mansion in perfect sync.
On the ride, Patrick was so excited that he posted a tweet: [Every Day about My Sister–Shari rode home with me today. Another day of showering Shar with love!] The comments hit ten thousand in a flash.
Comment 1: [Another day of feeling jealous!]
Comment 2: [When will I have my own brothers?]
Comment 3: [Why are all the amazing brothers someone else’s? So envious.]
Patrick put down his phone with a smug smile and looked at Sharon. “What are your weekend plans? Do you want to come to my movie set and hang
out?”
“Sounds great!” Sharon’s eyes lit up. He’d talked about this before, but they’d never had the chance to go.
She suddenly thought of something. “Do you know how our family’s lesser branch is doing?”
“Why? Did they bother you?”
“No, they’ve been friendly. Elise is my dormmate. She said her grandpa wants to invite me over for dinner.”
Sharon looked up at Patrick and saw no sign of annoyance or a frown on his face. She figured the lesser branch probably didn’t have any issues with her brothers.
Dinner? Patrick thought for a moment before answering, “If you want to go, we’ll go with you.”
Now that she was the family head, she could do whatever she wanted.
The Vance lesser branch had stayed low–key for years, almost like ghosts, mainly because Roxanne had crushed them so hard that they’d never dared to make a move. They’d had little contact with the eight brothers.
“Okay, let’s go take a look then.” Sharon was glad her brother didn’t object.
Before long, the car reached the familiar place. She smiled, thinking, ‘I’m home.‘
“Welcome home, Ms. Vance!” The servants stood in two neat lines, greeting her respectfully.
Sharon walked in front, followed by her eight brothers, all nine siblings stepping in the same rhythm.
Joan stood at the door and got all fired up at the sight. She secretly took out her phone and snapped a photo. They looked so good.
Sharon reached the door and looked at Joan. “Have you put on weight?”
Joan was left speechless. She thought, ‘Ugh,
you not point that out? As a woman, I have my pride.‘
The next moment, Sharon said, “But you look more beautiful this way.”
Joan’s face instantly turned red. She covered her face and stomped her foot, thinking, ‘Wahhh, Ms. Vance is so annoying! But I love it!*
Stepping into the grand hall, she was back in familiar territory.
Richard smiled, “Shari, go change in your room.first. We’re having a barbecue tonight.”

“Okay.” Sharoh nodded obediently and turned to go upstairs.
Once in her room, she stretched her neck, squinted happily, and flopped onto the big bed for a roll. “Home is the best.”
“Ms. Vance, your clothes are ready, and so are the supplies for your period,” a maid said.
“Got it.” Sharon stood up and went straight to the bathroom.
She’d wanted to take a bath, but since she was still on her period, she decided not to–no need to risk staining the bathtub.
That night, huge barbecue grills were set up in the manor’s garden. Joan kept taking photos nonstop. It was the first family dinner, and she had to save
the memories.
Soon, Twitter was flooded with Patrick’s barbecue post. Famous actor Patrick trolled late at night: [Every Day about My Sister–Having a barbecue with Shari. Welcome home after your first week of school. You’ve worked so hard.]
Comment 1: [I’m jealous! Why did I open Twitter at this time?]
Comment 2: [I’m also a hardworking student. Where are my brothers to spoil me with barbecue?]
Comment 3: [Posting food at midnight is too much.]
Public media didn’t show Sharon’s face–only a beautiful, innocent photo of her back. Everyone couldn’t help but envy Sharon.
Comment 4: [I used to diss Sharon, call her a country girl, say the Vance family was nouveau riche. Now I realize I’m wrong. I’d love to be this kind of nouveau riche.]
Comment 5: [Me too. Add me to that.]
The post went viral and was shared like crazy, eventually reaching Nicholas‘ phone. At that moment, he was swimming, his muscular build making others feel inferior.
Brent leaned lazily by the pool and called out, “Nick, you can come up now. Stop showing off how fit you are.”
It had been an hour, and Nicholas still hadn’t come up to rest.
Nicholas didn’t respond to him.
“Nick, Nick, hurry up. Your fiancée is trending again!” Brent said.
As soon as the words were out, the man in the water surfaced and swam toward Brent.
Brent held up his phone, the corner of his mouth twitching. He thought, ‘Does he have to be so obvious about favoring his girl over friends?”
Nicholas glanced at the photo on the phone. Sharon’s back looked beautiful and gentle. After a quick look, he put on his swimming goggles, ready to keep swimming.
“Nick, Nick, your old CP is back!” Brent said.
“Talk normally.”
“Remember the Throne of Kings? When we used
play, you had that rival CP named Shadow. They’ve been gone for years, but I just came across a gameplay video showing Shadow online. Log into your account and see if it’s really them!”
So many people shipped ShadowDeer!
Nicholas raised an eyebrow. Shadow? He did remember that player. Insanely fast reflexes, perfect gameplay, and sharp instincts.
