Juno’s POV
‘Stefan, don’t take them away yet, I instructed. “Let’s check everyone first.”
It took another thirty minutes to complete the process, but Fox didn’t identify anyone else. The two women looked relieved, probably thinking they’d passed inspection.
They have no idea, I thought with grim satisfaction. I can’t wait to see their faces when they realize the truth!
“Take Fox back to his cell,” I told Stefan. “And search their rooms and belongings.*
An older Luna stepped forward. ‘Is there anything else you need from us, Luna Juno?”
“No,” I replied coolly. “But everyone stays here until I dismiss you.”
People started looking at Amelia, silently pleading for her intervention.
“You heard Luna Juno, Amelia said firmly. “You should all start getting used to her as the Luna of Clifflands.”
“Did we get anything?” Elton asked anxiously. “I’d like to question them about Juliet.”
“They work in cells,” I explained. “Different groups often don’t know each other. They might not be able to help with Juliet.”
Thirty minutes later, Stefan returned. “We found a small laptop hidden in a heating vent and a satellite phone under a floorboard.”
I nodded, satisfaction flowing through me. We’d found concrete evidence. But I knew there were others. We just needed to make these two talk
Thank you all for your patience,” I announced to the crowd. “I apologize for disrupting your afternoon.”
As people began to disperse, I noticed the two identified women looking relaxed. They didn’t realize they hadn’t made it back to their rooms yet.
“What did you find?” Freya asked as we walked away from the garden.
Before I could answer, Amelia spoke up. “Elton, would you like to join,me for lunch? I could use the company.”
I understood what she was doing. If Elton’s daughter was involved in the rebellion, it wouldn’t be appropriate for him to be part of every aspect of our investigation.
‘I think I’ll lie down for a bit,” I said, supporting her plan. “This pregnancy makes me tired.”
‘I’ll come back after lunch, Elton said. “What about Lyric Stewart?”
“You can speak with her under supervision when you return,” I assured him.
Scarlett and Freya followed me back to my room while Elton and Amelia headed in the opposite direction.
“So?” Freya asked as soon as we were alone in my room. “Who did he identify?”
I couldn’t hold back my triumphant smile. “One of them is Nia.”
‘Nia?‘ Freya’s eyes widened in shock. “Alpha Charles’s niece? The one who was sent as a tribute?”
“Exactly.” The realization hit me like a thunderbolt. “Oh my god, Freya. That’s it. Charles orchestrated the attack so he could send Nia here as a tribute, Attacking Matthew was just a bonus.”
Freya leaned forward, her eyes sharp with attention. ‘What are you talking about?”

Everything suddenly clicked into place. He didn’t need Isabelle in our household. Having his daughter with Matthew was just extra insurance.
The full scope of Charles’s scheming made my blood boil. He destroyed lives and families to achieve his goals. That proves he doesn’t deserve any mercy..
Taking a deep breath, I laid out the pieces one by one. “Charles orchestrated the attack on Matthew’s territory, but not just to weaken him. The attack was a setup to send his niece Nia here as a tribute, a spy inside here. Meanwhile, he used his daughter Isabelle as Matthew’s fated mate to control information on that end.”
Scarlett’s mouth dropped open. “That’s… diabolical.”
And ruthless, Freya added, her face darkening with rage. ‘People died in that attack. Pack members with families, with children.” Her hands clenched into fists. “He ordered the death of innocent wolves just to place his pawns? And then had the audacity to frame Quinn for it?”
I nodded grimly. “It looks that way.”
Freya’s eyes narrowed. “What about Isabelle? Was she willingly involved in this?”
