Chapter 178
An hour later, training wrapped up, and the early holiday news sent the crowd into a frenzy.
Everyone cheered, and ever
Lydia ditched her usual scheming, desperate to head home for some rest and pampering.
Sharon drained most of her water and made her way to her dorm, eager to see how things would shake out at the academy after the break.
“Sharon.” Caesar jogged over with a grin. “We’ve got time off. Do you want to hang out? We can get to know each other.”
“Pass,” Sharon shot back immediately.
“Come on. My treat, no strings attached.”
Sharon arched an eyebrow. “Do I look cash–strapped to you?”
Caesar choked on his words. She definitely didn’t. With a billion Hunter Coins–rumored to be a loan from a friend–she outclassed him by miles.
Caesar secretly wished he could meet that friend. It wasn’t about the money. It was just a friendly dinner, that’s all.
“Family rule–no going out with strangers. It’s risky,” Sharon said, walking away without a backward glance.
Sharon kept walking without even looking back. Caesar gritted his teeth, still not ready to give up.
Then Brent sauntered up and whipped out his phone. “Nick, listen up. Some guy’s trying to steal your girl. He just asked Sharon out. You gonna let this
slide?”
“Stay put,” Nicholas barked before hanging up.
Brent’s grin widened.
Caesar flipped him off. “You play dirty.”
“Pot, meet kettle. Sharon’s sweet and well–behaved, too good for your wild crew. You really want her eight brothers breathing down your neck?” Brent
said.
Caesar scoffed and stalked off. He thought, ‘Fine, I’ll steer clear.‘
Back in her dorm, Sharon grabbed her phone and realized she didn’t have much to pack.
She’d been searching for the clothes she’d changed out of over the past couple of days, only to find them washed and hung on the balcony.
“Sharon, I did your laundry along with mine yesterday. Hope you don’t mind?” Elise said.
Sharon felt a bit awkward. “Thanks.”
“Sharon…” Elise hesitated, standing before her as if weighing her words.
“Hm?” Sharon turned. They were the only ones left in the dorm.
“Thank you for stepping in to help these past few weeks. If it’s okay, would you come over for dinner? My grandfather would like to meet you.”
She phrased it as an invitation, not just Walter wanting to see Sharon. She made it clear they see Sharon as the family head or even an honored guest ‘Interesting,’ Sharon thought.”
Sharon nodded. “Sure. Coordinate with my brothers to set a time.”

Her kindness made it hard for Sharon to turn her down.
“You agreed?” Elise asked, stunned, then quickly added, “What’s your favorite food? I’ll have the kitchen prepare it ahead.”
“Nothing in particular, but your cookies are good.” Sharon was picky, but Elise’s baking skills were top–notch.
“Got it. I’ll make sure your favorite cookies are ready. They’ll be perfect, I guarantee.”
“You’ve got this! Let’s roll.” Sharon grabbed her bag and headed out with Elise. The kids from the Vance family’s lesser branch were already waiting
cútside.
Merrick stood at the dorm entrance with his crew, his usual stoic expression softening slightly when he saw Elise.
Sharon lingered at the back, feeling like she was overwhelmed by strong couple vibes.
Elise turned, eyes sparkling. “Sharon, why not ride with us?” She thought, ‘It’ll be amazing to have Sharon along.
“We should go first.” Merrick cut in, glancing toward another direction. A tall figure was approaching, his gaze locked on Sharon.
Nicholas had arrived. No need to be a third wheet.
Following his gaze, Sharon saw Nicholas too. He had traded his black uniform for a plain white T–shirt and black pants, shedding the cold president’s steely demeanor and gaining the vibe of a friendly young man next door.
Nicholas halted in front of her and instinctively took the shoulder bag from her grasp. “Let’s go. I’ll drive you home.”
Sharon didn’t decline, gladly letting her boyfriend carry her bag.
They walked slowly, practically lagging behind the crowd.
After a stretch of silence, Sharon spoke up. “What’s your weekend schedule?”
“I got some school matters to take care of.”
“Oh.” Sharon nodded. ‘Guess that’s settled,‘ she thought.
As they approached the main gate, the bustling scene outside was unmissable. Luxury cars filled the area in front of the school, and Sharon immediately recognized eight familiar ones.
“Shari! Over here, look here!” Marvin waved eagerly first, his eyes sparkling with excitement.
Every Day about My Sister–The first time picking up Sharon from school.
