Amelia nodded and looked at the sky. “Let’s put up a temporary tent next to the orchard. Ensure the lights are set up and contact, our partner to have them prepare everything.
“Once we arrive, we’ll coordinate with the livestream company and start selling online right away”
With the help of a livestream, they should be able to sell these apples.
Nemi didn’t think Amelia would find a solution so quickly. She thought they would end up calling a juice factory and selling apples for a low price to make juice.
Nemi made a call.
Three hours later, their car arrived at the orchard. The temporary tent had been set up, and dark clouds were gathering on the horizon. A heavy rain was coming.
Amelia adjusted the lights and called the livestream company. They agreed to feature their stream on the homepage.
Amelia put on a raincoat and gave Nemi another
one.
From the moment Amelia got out of the car, she hasn’t stopped for a second, handling every step in an orderly fashion. Nemi admitted to herself that she couldn’t have managed all this on her own.
“Amelia, you’re not quite what I expected.”
Amelia didn’t wear any makeup. She didn’t say much. She just calmly called the coordinator. “Hello, have you worked things out with the fruit farmers? How much are they willing to sell?
When they quoted a price, Amelia was surprised.
“60 cents a kilogram?”
Apples are only 60 cents per kg, which is less than the usual 80 cents. It was true that the apples were smaller this year, which is why the price went down.
Amelia paused for a moment and said, “Can I list them for 9.90 for 10 kg?
There was a short pause. “Ms. Summers, I’m sorry, but they won’t sell for that price.”
“Let’s give it a try. If someone’s willing to buy, you won’t suffer any losses.”
“Okay, thank you.”
Amelia hung up, finalized the price, and worked out the purchase process of livestream before sitting down in front of the camera.
Honestly, facing so many viewers wasn’t her thing, but aside from the driver, it was just her and Nemi here.
Even though she hadn’t known Nemi for long, it was clear that she was timid. Amelia instinctively looked after her and chose to be on camera herself.
She signaled to Nemi that they could begin, and the livestream started.

Amelia smiled at the camera. “Hello, everyone. This is a government–supported livestream to help local fruit farmers.”
She replied to one of the comments, “We’re selling these apples here.”
“Yes, they’re small but very sweet. Sweeter than the previous years. These are the infamous apples from Sienna Valley.
“Someone wants to know how much it costs.” Ten kilograms cost 9.90. We’re selling a lot. If you can’t eat them all, you can always juice them. It’s good for you and tastes good.”
“Yes, this is our first time live streaming, so we’re not very experienced. No, I’m not wearing any makeup.”
Amelia answered each question from viewers one by one. Nemi’s nerves calmed down quickly when she saw how calm Amelia was.
Nemi had heard rumours about Amelia at the company since one of her friends was also working in the same department as Amelia.
When Nemi was told she’d be working with Amelia, she was very reluctant but she forced herself to go along.
But Amelia was nothing like the rumours. She wasn’t arrogant or overbearing, nor was she some clueless girl who only cared about chasing men.
Amelia was serious and smiling as she talked to the viewers. She never showed any signs of being impatient, even when she had to answer the same question over and over again.
Amelia took a bite of an apple, her movements graceful, instantly attracting even more viewers.
“The apple is sweet. I don’t have any makeup on. We decided to do this livestream at the last minute. We quickly set up this tent right here in the orchard. I can show you all outside. Looks like we’re going to have a big storm tonight.”
Her voice was pleasant, and she was beautiful. Plus, ten kg of apples for just 9.90. At the supermarket, it’d be four or five per kg at least.
The comments flew by.
“I’d spend ten bucks tonight just for a beauty like you.”
“You’re so pretty, you shouldn’t be doing this. If you were into beauty streaming, you’d be a star.”
“I don’t believe you’re not wearing any makeup. Feels fake. If you’re here to help fruit farmers, why dress like that? Looks like you’re trying to attract men.”
There were many nasty comments, but Amelia chose to ignore them. She picked up her phone and stepped out of the tent, showing everyone around the orchard.
“These hills are covered in apple trees. The apples are small but affordable this year, and hardly any worm damage. You can give them a try.
“But as you know, we’re only selling to cities close by to ensure quality and freshness. Check your address, don’t order if you don’t live near Sienna Valley. It’s hot outside, and if the apples go bad on the way, it will be
