Chapter 165
Chapter 165
Eight identical hunks marched over, looking so imposing that strangers might’ve thought they were there to fight.
Wendy was startled by them, unable to help admiring how handsome the eight men were.
She now vaguely understood behaviors
she’d
once found confusing. Sharon, doted on by eight brothers, was truly enviable.
“Mrs. Baxter, fancy meeting you here,” Wallace: said first, surprised to see Wendy at the school gate.
“Oh, I’m here to deliver chicken soup to Shari,” Wendy smiled. “Are you here to see her too? She’s resting right now.”
“We know. We just couldn’t rest easy, so we came to check on her,” Wallace said.
It was all because Marvin had mentioned in the group chat that Sharon suffered more during her period, and with the freshman camp ongoing, they needed to check Sharon’s conditions.
Wendy hesitated. “But the academy doesn’t allow strangers in.”
“That’s sorted,” Nicholas said. “I’ll get you passes.”
“No need to trouble–I already called Rufus. We’re good to go in,” Richard said bluntly, having already sorted it with Alexander.
Even if Rufus had objected, he couldn’t–Sharon was, after all, different.
Nicholas didn’t protest. A quick word to the gatekeeper, and the doors swung open.
Wendy joined them, saying, “I was worried too. You’re all men–some things are easier for a woman to handle. Let me take care of it.”
Wallace’s smile turned sincere. “Thank you so much.”
Richard echoed, “We really appreciate it.”
No matter how much they cared, some things were just harder for
men,
like this. Having a female elder around was a godsend.
“Not a problem. We’re family. Shari’s Nicholas‘ fiancée, so she’s like a daughter to me,” Wendy said.
Richard’s face stiffened. The eight Vance brothers suddenly wanted to take back their thanks. They still weren’t ready to accept Sharon marrying
Nicholas.
They took the campus bus to the infirmary.
Along the way, they drew stares. Girls whispered, “Who are those guys on the bus? They’re so hot–and they look alike!”
“Those are Sharon’s eight brothers. I hear they dote on her. I wish I had a brother like that, even just one.”
“The point is they’re handsome.”
“Right. Sharon’s so lucky–Mr. Baxter as her fiancé and eight amazing brothers. I’m jealous.”
“Same.”
The bus soon arrived at the infirmary. Nurses gaped at the eight identical men fiting in–handsome, same face, but completely different auras. Sharon, engrossed in TV dramas, sensed something off. The next moment, the curtain pulled back, and she was surrounded by her eight brothers.

Her eyes lit up. “What are you all doing here?”
“We heard you weren’t feeling well and came to check on you,” they said.
Sharon blushed, clutching the phone. “I’m okay now, just resting in the infirmary,”
Marvin frowned. “I told you to take leave yesterday. Why didn’t you listen?”
Sharon fell silent. She hadn’t expected this. If she’d known she’d be this weak, she would’ve prepared or taken leave. Now she was awkward.
“Shari,” Wendy called, and the brothers reluctantly parted. Wendy held out a thermal box. “This is chicken soup I made for you. It’s good for you.”
“Thank you so much.” The delicious smell moved Sharon. No one had ever cared for her like this during her period.
With her brothers visiting and Wendy bringing soup, Sharon felt deeply loved.
Richard covered his face in shame. They’d come empty–handed.
Wallace, who’d had his reservations about Wendy, now softened.
Wendy was right. Sharon needed female guidance.
Marvin decided to arrange a personal nutritionist for Sharon immediately. He hadn’t thought of it before–after all, they were all men who’d never experienced periods.
Sharon took a sip of soup and beamed. “It’s delicious.” The soup was flavorful but not greasy.
“So glad you like it. Finish it all, and I’ll send more often,” Wendy said.
“Oh, you don’t have to-” Marvin interjected, “We’ll assign a nutritionist to handle her diet from now on.”
Wallace added, “We can’t keep troubling you for this. It’s too much.”
“I’m not troubled at all. I’m free time every day.” Wendy waved off.
The eight brothers thought, ‘But we mind it. We can take care of our sister.’
