Chapter 158
Sharon returned to the dorm and lazily leaned against the headboard, feeling slightly unwell. She turned on her phone and unsurprisingly nece multiple text messages and missed calls all from her eight brothers.
She opened them one by one, smiling involuntarily. The feeling of being constantly cared for made her happy.
She replied in the group. Sharon: [Today went pretty smoothly.]
Richard: [Sharon, are you tired?]
Wallace: [If you can’t hold on, tell us we’ll help you take leave.]
Julian: [If anyone bullies you, just tell me.]
Sharon: [No one dares to bully me.]
Thinking of the day’s events, Sharon instinctively didn’t tell her brothers. After all, she’d been the one bullying others, not the other way around, so she didn’t count it as lying.
Marvin: [Sharon, if you’re uncomfortable and want to take leave, don’t force yourself.]
Sharon: [Okay.] Something about Marvin’s
s felt off to her. Her physical fitness was always good–there was no need for leave.
She’d definitely endure tomorrow’s punishment better than those losers.
Still, Sharon rubbed her lower abdomen. She really felt off. Her periods were never on time.
Sharon wondered, ‘Does Marvin know about
my
riod?‘
She blushed slightly. With no parents around and Martin unlikely to pay such detailed attention, she’d always handled such things alone.
Cameron: [We need to talk.]
Seeing the sudden message, Sharon straightened up. Sharon: [Shoot.]
Cameron: [Remember you said we should stake out the House of Obsidian? I thought it over–you were right.]
Sharon sent a question mark.
Jannie: [Don’t believe him. We’ve been stuck in the hotel with no way out, and he wants you to draw attention for him.]
Cameron: [What are you talking about? Am I that kind of person? I’m just cooperating with her work.]
Sharon: [Stick to the plan.]
Cameron: [Got it.
Sharon: [If I get exposed, I’m passing the buck to you–your face is already public.]
Cameron: [Oh, come on.]
Cameron thought, ‘How can she throw her little brother under the bus? Where’s her conscience as queen?‘
Sharon hung up and curled up in bed, frowning. She felt too uncomfortable to move–periods were always a nightmare.

Chapter 158
The next day, Sharon struggled to get up, knowing it was a pre period sign,
But she guessed her period was still a few days away.
Leaning on her frall body, she wondered why she wasn’t a man those few days of weakness every month were miserable.
“Ms. Vance, are you okay? You took pale,” Elise noticed first. Sharon had gone from fine to sickly overnight.
“I’m fine.” Sharon wasn’t used to showing weakness. Alone, vulnerability meant being exploited–she was trained to hide it.
She followed Elise to the cafeteria, eating without appetite and tolerating the noise poorly. Sharon confirmed it—extra irritability was a pre–period
symptom.
“Ms. Vance, are you sure you’re okay?” Elise asked cautiously. Today’s Sharon was like a ticking time bomb. She wondered what had upset her.
Sharon sipped milk, then followed the others to the training ground, standing at the front.
House of Obsidian instructors arrived quickly. As Nicholas passed her, he stopped and asked, “What’s wrong? You don’t look well.
Nicholas thought, ‘No wonder Marvin suggested Sharon take a leave. Did Marvin predict she’d get sick?”
Sharon avoided his gaze. “I’m fine.”
Lydia chimed in immediately, “Mr. Baxter, if someone’s sick, can we take leave?”
Many stared at Nicholas, bracing for his strictness.
Nicholas said, “No exceptions.”
Sharon staggered slightly, then pressed her lips together.
Soon, the running drill began. Sharon struggled–her body felt like dead weight.
Elise stayed beside her. “If you’re unwell, you can ask for leave.”
“I’m fine. Go ahead–don’t hold us back,” Sharon said.
Before the words finished, Nicholas called out, “No chatting.”
Elise gritted her teeth and sped up.
Vivian, leading the pack, caught up and sneered, “You’re so weak.”
She’d thought Sharon was tough, but she was just riding her bloodline–couldn’t even last a few laps.
Lydia joined in, speeding up to mock her. “So slow. Don’t forget your punishment laps. Hope you don’t collapse.”
Others started snickering at Sharon.
On the platform, instructors watched. Margaret noticed Sharon clutching her stomach and guessed it was her period.
She turned to speak but saw Nicholas‘ eyes never leave Sharon. Margaret swallowed her words.
Caesar smirked, “Yesterday she was beating people up, today she’s a fragile flower? Weird.”
Sharon’s pace slowed. She felt a dampness below and flushed with embarrassment.

Chapter 158
Her periods usually delayed. She thought in panic, ‘Don’t tell me it is now.
Pale and dizzy, she pushed on.
“Ah, Blood! Sharon’s bleeding!” A classmate gasped, spotting stains on her pants.
Sharon stopped, awkward and breathless.
Everyone on the platform noticed. Justin tensed, but someone else shot forward, leaping off the platform toward her.
Nicholas draped his black uniform over her, scooped her up, and said urgently, “I’m taking you to the hospital.”
“No, I want to go back to the dorm,” Sharon protested.
“You’re bleeding. You have to go to the hospital!” Nicholas insisted, tense and serious.
