Chapter 147
Chapter 147
Sharon suddenly squinted her eyes, looking extremely intimidating
Justin’s three roommates all froze. They indeed had little liking for Sharon–after all, Justin adored her, yet she’d chosen Nicholas as fier flarice, and si Justin’s efforts to please her had been in vain.
They’d never expected the rumored delicate Sharon to have such a formidable side.
The atmosphere stiffened slightly. Justin quickly chimed in, “Sharon, don’t take it to heart–they’re just kidding.”
“Is that so?” Sharon said coldly. “I don’t like jokes like that.” With that, she marched to the food pickup window. Her domineering demeanor was truly surprising.
Justin looked exasperated. “Are you three out of your minds?”
“We just wanted to stick up for you, Who knew Sharon was such a badass?” his roommates protested.
“Seriously? You think the story of her punching Johnson into critical condition is fake?” Justin said.
His roommates stared in shock. “Wait, that’s real? We thought it was a rumor–or that Mr. Baxter did it. No one would believe a girl like Sharon put Johnson in the hospital with one punch.”
Johnson had been a House of Obsidian student too, but he’d graduated on time to inherit his family’s wealth.
They knew Johnson’s strength well. The three of them together could barely defeat him, so the idea of Sharon knocking him out with one punch seemed impossible—hence their disbelief.
Justin’s roommate thought, ‘Are all girls this fierce now?‘
Justin patted his roommate’s shoulder earnestly. “You can’t judge a book by its cover, got it?” This was especially true for Sharon.
Then Justin trotted after Sharon, ignoring his roommates entirely. To him, she was far more important.
Sharon grabbed her tray and picked up food. The dishes looked decent–better than she’d expected from cafeteria food.
“Sharon, they know nothing about you. Please don’t be mad,” Justin said.
She picked up a fruit. “Do I seem petty to you?”
Justin paused, thinking silently, ‘Um, yes? Didn’t you get revenge on everyone who ever crossed you?‘
Sharon had a notorious reputation for holding grudges.
Just as she finished, a group walked in. Leading them were Nicholas, Caesar, and Brent, followed by other students.
Her gaze lingered, then she took a random seat. Justin sat beside her.
Nicholas frowned deeply at the sight.
Brent whispered, “Nick, just sit beside Sharon. I’ll get your food.”
Nicholas hesitated, but Caesar beat him to the empty seat beside Sharon. “Fancy meeting you here,” he said with a smirk.
Nicholas shot Caesar a look, wishing the man would vanish.
He walked over slowly, but Justin’s roommates approached with their trays, aiming for the seats in front of him,

Nicholas glared, and Justin’s roommates quickly turned away they dared not provoke him.
Nicholas sat down directly. Across from him was Caesar; diagonally, Sharon.
He glanced at her tray and saw she was still picky about food.
Marvin had warned him repeatedly that Sharon hated vegetables and only ate meat. That cute girl was a total carnivore.
After Nicholas sat, other instructors joined the row–all influential figures.
Lydia couldn’t squeeze in and sat on the edge, glum.
Margaret looked at Nicholas, recalling his earlier demand to switch seats, and her gaze turned complicated.
She thought, ‘He must like Sharon a los
Margaret had once hoped Nicholas would never like anyone, so she could stay by his side. But she never expected such a cold man to fall for a girl and bend the rules for her.
Love changed a cold man, but he didn’t change for her.
Soon, Brent arrived with his tray.
Nicholas picked out a plate of vegetables and set it in front of Sharon. “Your brother said you should stop being picky about food,” he said.
The atmosphere froze. Many stared at the veggies as if they were poisoned.
