Chapter 146
Nicholas felt Sharon’s gaze and felt a small flutter of pride inside. ‘She’s still looking at me, he thought. But he kept his face stern and didn’t turn around,
Sharon slowly looked away and turned to Justin. “Let’s go.”
Justin nodded and addressed the students behind Sharon. “Take a break for now. The official training doesn’t start until this afternoon, so don’t worry.
Elise stayed quiet, glancing at the departing Sharon and then at Nicholas, who was surrounded by a group of girls. ‘Are those two fighting?” she thought. Even an idiot could tell something was off between them.
Nicholas turned his head and noticed Justin’s team had dispersed. His expression instantly turned cold. “Everyone line up. Five laps, now.”
Vivian froze. “Right now?”
“Is there a problem? My words are orders.”
Vivian couldn’t help protesting, “But we don’t start until the afternoon.”
“Ten laps,” Nicholas said, his gaze severe. “No lunch for anyone who doesn’t finish.”
Vivian gritted her teeth and obediently prepared to run. ‘This guy changes his tune faster than you can blink,‘ she thought bitterly.
Caesar watched from the sidelines, enjoying the show. “You think Nicholas got to his position by being nice? He’s famous for being completely merciless. Girls, you better pray you survive the next month.”
Everyone had assumed Nicholas was kind because of his elegant appearance, but the guy had the heart of a snake.
Lydia swallowed hard when she saw people from the nearby team actually start running. ‘Are they seriously doing this?‘ she thought.
Caesar rubbed his chin. “Still want to join the other team?”
“Can I really switch?” Lydia asked hesitantly.
Caesar fell silent. ‘Just pretend I never asked. Nick and his damn charm! It’s so annoying. Why do women always fall for his type?‘ he thought.
Caesar turned around and spotted Sharon and Justin walking away. His mood instantly brightened. He hurried to catch up with Nicholas. “Hey, how does it feel to get publicly rejected by a girl?”
Nicholas‘ face darkened. “Want to find out yourself?”
“I was just joking,” Caesar said. “We’re representatives this time, so we need to keep things civil. Otherwise, people will think House of Obsidian is just a bunch of troublemakers. We’re actually good students waiting to graduate and get assigned jobs.”
“Stay away from me.” Nicholas was in a terrible mood and didn’t want to be bothered.
Caesar persisted, thick–skinned as ever. “You know who that Justin guy is? He’s the one who won my membership card in that bet. He’s the one who lent it to your Sharon.”
Nicholas stopped walking and stared at Caesar. “Really?”
“I wouldn’t lie about this. Ask around if you don’t believe me,” Caesar said. “I never expected your fiancée to be so close with Justin.
“Everyone knows Justin from the News Department is notoriously cheap. The fact that he was willing to lend his membership card to your fiancée instead of using it to make money means they must be pretty tight.”
Nicholas frowned, “How did they meet?”

“I have no idea. Aren’t you her fiancé? How do you not know?” Caesar replied with a mischievous grin, clearly enjoying the drama.
He tilted his head. “Hey, I just saw them heading toward the cafeteria together. They’re probably going to have lunch”
Nicholas immediately changed direction and headed straight for the cafeteria.
Caesar chuckled to himself. ‘This is going to be interesting, he thought.
Brent approached them. “Where is Nick going?”
“To the cafeteria. Come with me.” Caesar grabbed Brent by the arm. ‘The more people, the more fun, he thought.
It was a rare opportunity to see Nicholas jealous, and Caesar didn’t want to miss it. Coming to the academy early to be some boring instructor was pointless unless he found some entertainment.
At the academy cafeteria, Justin led Sharon through the entrance. “They have some really good dishes here, including that braised pork I told you out before. It’s absolutely amazing.”
“Really? I definitely need to try it then,” Sharon smiled.
As Sharon walked into the cafeteria with Justin, they immediately attracted stares from around the room. Many of the male students had finished their classes early and came for extra food. It was free, after all.
“Hey Justin, is this your goddess?” a voice called out.
“Not cool, man. You found a hottie and didn’t even introduce us.”
Suddenly, three guys appeared beside Justin, but the way they looked at Sharon wasn’t particularly friendly.
Sharon sensed the hostility. Her eyes cooled as she met their gaze. “Looking for problem?”
