Chapter 99
Chapter 99
Brent couldn’t help speaking up, “Sharon, you look so cool when you’re throwing money around. I really want to ride your coattails!”
Nicholas paused for a moment. He’d need to work harder and earn more gold coins in the future, or his fiancée would run out of spending money, Girls really do look their best when they’re buying things,’ he thought.
Nicholas was heading further down the path of spoiling his wife.
Sharon’s brothers all shot him dark looks. “Shut up, punk.”
Marvin cleared his throat. “Shari, you don’t need to spend that many coins. This isn’t like regular money. A few tens of thousands would be plenty. The entire Elders‘ Council combined probably isn’t worth a million. You’re being too generous with them.”
Wallace chimed in, “That’s right, Shari. This isn’t how you should spend money. You should keep more cash on hand.”
“Is that so?” Sharon tilted her head thoughtfully. “I don’t really understand these things. I thought it was similar to regular currency. Got it, I won’t do it again.”
Richard nodded. “But since you’ve already made the offer, don’t go back on your word. Just remember to haggle next time.”
“Okay!” Sharon nodded obediently, looking like she’d learned her lesson.
But when Sharon turned to look at Malcolm, her sweet and innocent expression vanished. Her eyes carried a commanding presence as if saying, “Accept
the deal now.”
Malcolm looked pained. “That’s no way to teach your sister. A girl shouldn’t be too stingy either.”
‘This little girl is so easy to trick, throwing tens of thousands of Hunte Coins just like that. A once–in–a–century cash cow, Malcolm thought.
Nicholas frowned, “Actually, summoning the other elders is already Malcolm’s responsibility. You shouldn’t have to pay for it at all.”
Malcolm felt like he was about to die on the spot. ‘You’re all so ruthless, one worse than the next. Don’t any of you Four Great Families‘ descendants understand respect for your elders?‘ he thought.
Sharon looked at him with cold eyes. “Do we have a deal? If you don’t agree, I’ll just put out a bounty instead.”
“No. Of course I agree! Who else could do this besides me? Nobody else is as fast or efficient,” Malcolm quickly accepted, afraid she might change her mind. A money–making opportunity this good would be foolish to pass up.
“Good, it’s a deal then. You have one day. After that, the payment gets cut in half,” Sharon said firmly. She was spending this much money specifically for speed. Without that, she wouldn’t pay so much.
“No problem. But Sharon you’ll need to pay some deposit upfront,” Malcolm added hastily. “It’s not that I don’t trust you, but those old geezers won’t show their faces without some incentive.
“Those old geezers won’t budge until they see what’s in it for them, if you know what I mean.”
“I’ll transfer one million Hunter Coins to your account first. That should be enough, right?” Sharon said.
“Of course it’s enough. My username on the Hunter Forum is Annie–Kisses.”
Sharon’s expression froze. That username paired with Malcolm’s sleazy appearance was genuinely nauseating.
Brent smiled, “Interesting choice of username, Mr. Hargrove.”
Marvin chimed in, “Is Annie your girlfriend, Mr. Hargrove?”

Malcolm’s face suddenly turned red. “What’s it to you, you little punk? I can pick whatever username I want.”
Sharon transferred the coins to Annie–Kisses with a smirk.
When Malcolm got the payment notification, he finally looked satisfied. “I’m going to the back room to work on this. Don’t disturb me. Just wait here, okay?”
Everyone outside felt their skin crawl.
Malcolm returned to his private room in high spirits. He was thrilled about how easily he’d scored one million Hunter Coins. ‘Kids these days are really something,‘ he thought.
Malcolm spotted the red–tagged 100 million reward post that already had over a million replies.
His eyes settled on the poster’s username–LittleSunshine. ‘Why does that name seem so familiar?‘ he thought/ ‘Where have I seen it before? Oh right, this is the same person who posted that thousand Hunt Coins bounty.
Malcolm opened his account balance on his phone and counted several times, his mood instantly brightening. He finally had money. But something felt
off.
Malcolm noticed the name on the transfer was “LittleSunshine“, and was stunned. He went back and checked the username of the person who posted the 100 million bounty. The names seemed identical.
Could this be a coincidence?‘ Malcolm thought. His hands started to shake as he realized he might have stumbled onto something major. He quickly searched the username, hoping they just happened to have the same name, despite his growing suspicion.
The search results confirmed it. Only one person used the name “LittleSunshine”
This meant there was only one possible truth. Sharon was actually the big boss behind the Hunter Forum. ‘Holy crap,‘ Malcolm thought.
