Chapter 69
Margaret looked at Sharon in disbelief, unable to comprehend why she had just been teased.
Sharon tilted her head. “Margaret, I hope we can be good friends in the future.”
Margaret felt goosebumps all over. It was a perfectly normal statement, yet it sounded anything but normal to her.
Caesar was watching the scene unfold with amusement. Two women facing off, both connected to Nicholas. Clearly, there was going to be some drama,
As everyone knew, Nick was not interested in women. Margaret had a crush on Nicholas, and Sharori was Nick’s fiancée. With these relationships, things were bound to get interesting at school.
“Of course, after all, I am your guide.” Margaret suppressed the strange feelings inside. ‘That must have been an illusion. It has to be. How could I be flirted with by a little girl?‘ she thought to herself,
“Hey, Nick over here. Your fiancée is here. Where do you think you’re going?” Caesar called out with great enthusiasm, even going so far as to wave at Nicholas in an attempt to stir up some trouble.
Nicholas, who had been planning to go prepare a gift, was caught off guard.
He changed direction, casually placing one hand in his pocket as he walked over with an air of suave charm. In reality, he was tapping a few messages into his phone. [The plan has changed. Follow Plan B. Wait for my signal.]
Nicholas stopped and calmly explained, “My grandfather isn’t feeling well. I was about to take him home.”
Edward, being quite elderly, rarely attended public partys, but he had made an exception to honor Sharon today.
Sharon spoke up. “I’ll visit him next time.”
No matter what, she had received Edward’s kindness. If someone was good to her, she would return the favor tenfold.
A flicker of amusement crossed Nicholas’s eyes as he thought how kind–hearted Sharon was.
“Niko, your fiancée hasn’t even arrived at the academy yet, but she’s already set the academy forum on fire. Her popularity is through the roof. Are you feeling the pressure?” Caesar teased.
Ever since Sharon’s S–level bloodline had been exposed, the academy forum had exploded with posts. Almost everyone in the circle now knew about it. [The student council’s Nicholas’s fiancée has an S–level bloodline.]
The post above it was: [Nicholas’s fiancée is a commoner and a nobody.] The two posts side by side were extremely awkward.
On the day Nicholas’s fiancée was exposed, it had become a day of heartbreak for all the girls in the school. Many had speculated and ridiculed the commoner fiancée.
Now, Sharon had proven that she was not a nobody but had an S–level bloodline. In terms of bloodline, Sharon had even surpassed Nicholas. She was impressive and had a remarkable background.
Margaret’s expression soured, and she felt a pang of disappointment.
Sharon, however, had picked up some key information from the posts. She looked at Nicholas carefully. “You are Niko?”
What a coincidence. But the man in front of her didn’t seem anything like her nemesis.
Niko was arrogant, domineering, and acted like he ruled the world, while her fiance was an elegant and refined gentleman with a clear–cut face ar graceful demeanor. They didn’t seem to be the same person.
Nicholas’s gaze shifted slightly. “It’s just a nickname.”

“Right, and by the way, you know what? Nicholas is like that. There are no female creatures around him, no girlfriends, not even a
Nicholas cut Caesar off with a threatening look. ‘Don’t corrupt my fiancée.
Caesar finally shut up, realizing that it wasn’t appropriate to talk like that in front of a girl.
Sharon’s eyes flickered with understanding.
So Nicholas was still a virgin. Oh dear, she had accidentally discovered something quite a secret.
Nicholas was completely unaware of this. He looked at Sharon beside him. “It’s a bit stuffy in here. How about we take a walk in the garden?”
“Sure.” Sharon nodded. Standing here and being watched all the time felt like being an animal in a zoo.
Caesar quickly chimed in, “You’re right. This place is full of hypocritical politicians. Let’s go out and have fun, young people. No need to mix with them.
Nicholas gave Caesar a meaningful look but didn’t say anything more.
However, as soon as they stepped out of the hall, Marvin approached. “Where are you guys going?”
Nicholas’s expression became a bit unnatural, and he always looked a little nervous when dealing with Sharon’s brothers.
