Sharon noticed the general manager hesitating to speak and withdrew her gaze indifferently, feeling that the man wasn’t as simple as he seemed.
“I haven’t got the wrong place. The address is right here. Who’s Sharon?” Rufus asked.
She looked at him. “Me.”
“Is it you? You look quite well–behaved. Not bad at all. I’m satisfied,” Rufus said.
Marvin gritted his teeth. “Sir, don’t look at my sister in such a lewd way. I’ll gouge your eyes out and stomp on them if you keep it up.”
“Scared me to death. Hey, young man, don’t be so hostile. I’m here to deliver an invitation. My apprentice likes you. You two should get along well in the future,” Rufus explained.
Sharon was stunned for a moment, as were her eight brothers. ‘His apprentice? Who? I’d like to have a word with him,’ they thought.
Nicholas raised an eyebrow. “Mr. Miller, are you drunk again? She’s my fiancée.”
Caesar added fuel to the fire. “Mr. Miller, you also have an invitation for her? Didn’t you say they were all canceled?”
Richard’s eyes flickered with surprise. So this was Rufus Miller, the vice principal of Oriston Academy, who looked more like a con artist than an academic.
Sharon’s eyes twitched. She really couldn’t see him as a vice principal either.
The surrounding dignitaries all gasped. ‘Oriston Academy is an elite school, right? Why does the vice principal look so ordinary? Could he be an imposter?‘
If it weren’t for Caesar and Nicholas vouching for him, they would have kicked this man, who looked like a fraudster, out.
“When were they canceled? Why didn’t I know?” Rufus looked bewildered.
Margaret sighed, exasperated, “Just now, Mr. White personally issued the order. He wants to put an end to the indiscriminate distribution of invitations. Can you please not lead by example in disrupting the rules?”
“Damn that old guy and his antics again,” Rufus grumbled, then smiled at Sharon. “Don’t worry. I can pull some strings for you. Why not consider becoming my apprentice?”
Richard furrowed his brows. “She’s not interested.” He would never allow it.
“I don’t even know your apprentice,” Sharon said when Joan handed her phone over. There was a text message from an unknown number. [It’s me, Zanker. Take the invitation.]
‘So it’s him. Zanker is indeed from Oriston Academy,‘ Sharon thought to herself.
“Mr. Miller, your behavior is extremely inappropriate. If you continue to cause trouble, I’ll file a complaint against you,” Margaret warned.
“Do you have to be so stubborn? If I take her away, Nicholas will be yours, right? Silly girl, can’t you figure that out?” Rufus said.
“What nonsense are you talking about? My relationship with Mr. Baxter isn’t what you think.” Margaret glanced at Nicholas subconsciously, but he remained expressionless, his gaze fixed on Sharon. A hint of disappointment flashed in her eyes.
‘I didn’t expect Mr. Baxter to have a crush on such a delicate girl,‘ Margaret thought to herself.
Nicholas immediately spoke up. “Rufus, why were the invitations suddenly canceled?”
“How should I know? I guess with the sudden increase in invitation recommendations, Dalton discovered some foul play. It’s outrageous,” Rufus said.

Mr. Miller, I need to investigate who bought invitations from you,” Margaret said.
She found this behavior of secretly selling invitations quite despicable. Since Dalton had finally ordered a cleanup, she was determined to get to the bottom of it. A selfish thought flashed through Margaret’s mind, but she quickly suppressed it.
Upon hearing this, Sharon’s eyelid suddenly twitched. She had a strange feeling, but she couldn’t quite put her finger on it.
“Let me think. The invitations I sold, no, the ones I sent out.” Rufus caught himself mid–sentence, realizing he had almost slipped up. If Margaret got hold of this, she would tattle to Dalton again.
Rufus continued, “Including my apprentice, Caesar, someone from the Baxter family, and other regular recommendations. Besides these, there are students whom Prof. Gray has tried to invite for ten years without success. Those are exclusive invitations from Dalton and can be ignored; they’re not on the same level as our invitations.”
The invitation for an S–level bloodline doesn’t require any assessment.
Rufus sighed, “There are just too many ordinary recommendations this year, and there aren’t enough spots.” He had originally planned to randomly select someone from the regular recommendations, but it backfired.
‘From now on, I’ll never have this extra income again. It’s so frustrating. That old jerk Dalton, I’ll settle with him later, Rufus thought to himself.
Nicholas spoke up slowly. “But two recommendations are for the same person.” Rufus suddenly realized something.
“It’s not just two; it’s three,” Caesar interjected, rubbing his temples. He hadn’t expected Sharon to be so popular. He held up his hands. “That’s right. The invitation I recommended is also for Sharon.”
“Three recommendation invitations for the same girl. This has never happened in the history of Oriston Academy.” Rufus looked at Sharon in disbelief, realizing how popular she was.
Not just Rufus, but everyone was stunned. It seemed like getting an invitation was as easy as drinking water for Sharon.
While others struggled for years to get even one invitation, Sharon had received three recommendations at once, which made people envious enough to
turn green.
They thought, ‘If they all recommended the same person, why not give up two spots to give others a chance?‘
Sharon no longer belonged to the Vance family. In fact, she should have had no invitations at all.
Everyone had thought that getting one invitation through her fiancé Nicholas was already a huge advantage, but they never expected her to have three invitations. Suspicion filled the air.
Ashley couldn’t help but speak up. “Can different invitations recommend the same person? Isn’t that against the rules?”
“No, after all, there’s no regulation saying people can’t recommend the same person,” Rufus explained.
Margaret’s gaze on Sharon was now complicated. ‘Although there’s no such rule, how could everyone recommend the same person without her even knowing? What kind of magic does Sharon have to get so many recommendations?‘ she thought.
Sharon was also bewildered. She could understand the Baxter family getting her an invitation, but she couldn’t figure out why Zanker and Caesar would recommend her.
Nicholas also stared at Caesar, his eyes showing a hint of irritation. ‘Why is this playboy trying to ingratiate himself? I feel like punching him,‘ he thought. Caesar quickly raised his hands in explanation, “I just think she’s talented. That’s all.” He looked innocent, but as a playboy, his words carried little weight.
Sharon suddenly remembered the time at the Atlantis Hotel when Caesar saw her in action. ‘What should I do? I feel like I’m about to be exposed. If I kill Caesar, will he not be able to say anything?‘ she thought.

Wallace’s eyes flickered, and then he said, “Since they all recommended the same person, it means there aren’t many people getting invitations, the is just a misunderstanding. Isn’t it a bit too much to cancel all the invitations?”
“Well, this is a bit of a dilemma.” Rufus indeed hadn’t expected all these recommendations to be for the same person.
People around shook their heads regretfully. The invitations were extremely precious, and now they were all wasted on one girl. They thought it was such a pity.
“I’ll call Dalton and see if there’s any room for negotiation,” Rufus said.
If the invitations are canceled, will those people ask me for their money back?‘ Rufus thought. The very thought of this outcome made him feel terrible.
“Wait? Dalton?‘ Sharon’s brow furrowed. Her invitation seemed to have that name on it.
