Chapter 56
Chapter 56
When the general manager saw Sharon, his boss, arrive, he immediately stepped forward to open the car door for her with utmost respect.
Roxanne was taken aback. She wondered, ‘Why is the general manager of the Atlantis Hotel so respectful to Sharon? Isn’t she just riding on the coattails
this hotel,
and that’s why Sharon’s receiving such special treatment?! of the Baxter family? Could it be that the Baxter family
The more Roxanne thought about it, the
more convinced she
Came that her guess was correct.
Standing off to the side, Karen was equally stunned by the grand display at the Atlantis Hotel. She couldn’t believe her eyes.
She’d heard that the Atlantis Hotel would host Sharon’s coming–of–age party, but she never imagined it would be this grand. She remembered that even the president’s daughter’s coming–of–age party here hadn’t been as
p as this.
The hotel had cleared the place ahead of time. The general manager came out to greet Sharon and even opened the car door for her.
But Sharon was just a country girl. Even though she was rumored to be Master Skyler, she was still just a craftsman–nothing more than a worker who didn’t belong in high society. Girls from influential families wouldn’t lower themselves to such work.
Seeing how respectful everyone at the Atlantis Hotel was to Sharon, Karen was filled with jealousy. She thought, ‘I should be the one receiving such treatment. If only I had been the one engaged to Nicolas. All of this should have been mine.‘
Both Roxanne and Karen were certain that this was all arranged by the Baxter family. They looked down on Sharon and her eight brothers.
The car door opened, and a girl in a white plaid dress stepped out, her hair flowing down to her waist. Her face was free of makeup, her eyes clear and
pure.
Her eight brothers, dressed in black tuxedos, stood by her side like knights. The contrast between pure white and black was striking.
Sharon’s expression remained composed, but when her gaze landed on Karen and Roxanne hanging around at the entrance, a flicker of coldness flashed in her eyes. ‘So, they finally decided to come to me, huh?‘ she thought.
Roxanne, furious, snapped, “Sharon, you ungrateful, disrespectful brat! With so many people here today, I’m going to expose your true colors in front of
them.”
“Oh, look who it is, some old lady wandering out of a nursing home. Shouldn’t someone be showing her the door? Do you really think anyone can just waltz in?” Marvin’s voice was sharp, full of disdain.
Richard added with a dark expression, “Get rid of these outsiders. The eight of us have already gone our separate ways. Our parents are dead, and we don’t have any poor relatives.”
“How dare you! I’m your grandmother!” Roxanne shouted. She never expected they’d embarrass her in front of so many people. She couldn’t help but wonder whether they didn’t care at all about what others thought.
Sharon turned to the general manager, her gaze cold and piercing. “How did she get here without an invitation?” She was implying that the staff were useless and not performing their duties well.
The manager’s forehead broke out in a cold sweat/He didn’t know how Roxanne had gotten here.
“I brought her here.” A deep voice rang out.
Sharon turned to see a man she didn’t recognize. His features were sharp, and his gaze carried an undeniable authority.
He looked at Sharon and spoke, “After all, you’re family. Whatever the issue is, you can talk it out. She’s your grandmother. She doesn’t need an invitation
to be here.”

Sharon clicked her tongue, clearly annoyed by the busybody.
Richard sneered, “Johnson Pierce, mind your own business. Who doesn’t know the eight of us were kicked out long ago? Stop playing the pracama Doesn’t that disgust you?”
Hearing the man’s last name, Sharon immediately thought of Nolan, and her dislike for the Pierce family deepened.
if it weren’t for the Pierce family sending high–ranking martial artists to protect the Vance Mansion, it likely would have crumbled by now.
She preferred to strike where it hurt the most, slowly and methodically. But now, her patience was wearing thin.
When big cats catch their prey, they rarely eat it right away. Instead, they toy with it, giving it false hope, only to destroy it again and again, until the prey is finally consumed by despair.
Sharon decided it was time for the second wave of suppression.
Sharon looked up at Richard and asked, ‘Richie, this is my party. I get to call the shots, right?‘
“Of course. Do whatever you want. Today, you’re the princess,” replied Richard.
In fact, Sharon would much rather be the queen. She flashed a sweet smile, but as she lowered her head, the smile instantly disappeared. She stared at the general manager and asked, “You know what to do, right?”
The manager broke into a cold sweat, fully aware knew what he should do. He hurriedly turned around and strode to Roxanne, his expression cold. “Please, leave. Don’t force us to take further action.”
“How… How dare you!” Roxanne was livid. “Sharon, just because you’re engaged to Nicholas doesn’t mean you can do whatever you want. If it weren’t for our family, you wouldn’t even be engaged to him in the first place.”
Richard scoffed. “Do you think we care?”
Sharon’s seven brothers spoke in unison, “We don’t care. Shari got where she is all on her own.”
Karen’s eyes lit up. She thought, ‘Since they don’t care, does that mean I still have a chance? If these words get out, the Baxter family will be humiliated and furious, right?‘
Sharon reached the door but was stopped.
Richard immediately ran over. “Johnson, are you out of your mind? How dare you block my sister? Stay away from her.”
“I’m just here to remind your sister that she should leave some room for the future. You’ve been trying to get her into Oriston Academy, haven’t you? But if you offend the major shareholder, you won’t get that chance,” replied Johnson.
Sharon clenched her teeth and turned to Johnson. Then she ordered the general manager, “Get the Pierce family out of here. They’re not welcome here.”
“Understood, Ms. Vance,” the manager replied.
Johnson was shocked and furious. “You’re kicking out our family? Do you have any idea what happens when you cross us?”
The Pierce family was ranked just below the Baxter family and held more power than even the Dolan family.
Sharon raised an eyebrow, her gaze filled with arrogance and disdain. “You’ll find out soon enough what happens when you offend the Vance family.”
“Sharon, you’re not part of the Vance family. You don’t deserve to be. We are the true Vance family members!” Roxanne declared.
Roxanne didn’t want to leave, but a high–ranking martial artist stepped forward and made it clear she had no choice. His aura was more than she could
handle.
Sharon’s eyes darkened. Soon enough, the Vance family would change hands. She would personally reclaim everything that belonged to her father.
