The Ex Wife’s Redemption: A Love Reborn
Chapter 32
Catherine Harding’s voice ent through the night air like a blade. Sophia, I never thought yourd have such nerve to defy my orders. Her perfectly manicured hand gestured to the female security personnel flanking her. Teach her a lesson! Don’t worry about her face : just get her on the ground. Show no menyi-
1 stood my ground, watching the security team advance with practiced coordination. My body moved on instinct, I kicked the guard as hard as I could
The remaining guards hesitated, exchanging uncertain glances. These women were used to intimidating socialites and paparazzi, not facing someone who would fight back.
“What are you waiting for? Catherine’s voice rose with hysteria. Take her down!‘
Grace’s shrill laugh echoed from where she lounged against the bedroom wall. Look at her trying to act tough! Don’t you know your place by now, you worthless nobody?
The next guard came at me with more caution, but years of suppressed rage made me faster. A quick series of strikes, and she joined her colleague on the carpet. The remaining security personnel took several steps back, professional training warring with self–preservation.
“You useless cowards! Catherine’s face contorted with fury. “Can’t even handle a bitch?
“Mom, Grace’s voice dripped false concern, ‘be careful! This creature is clearly unstable. Who knows what other barbaric behaviors she’s capable of?”
I felt a cold smile spread across my face. “Want to find out, Grace? Come closer.”
Grace blanched, stumbling backward until she hit the wall. “Mom! Did you hear that?/She’s threatening me!”
“How dare you!” Catherine’s face twisted with rage as she advanced toward me. “You ungrateful little snake! The Hardin family has done so much for you, where have we mistreated you?”
“What?” I laughed bitterly. “You mean like treating me like dirt for five years? Or maybe you mean trying to cause me to miscarry?”
“Watch your mouth!” Grace found her courage again, safely behind her mother. “You trapped Henry with that pregnancy! Everyone knows you did it on purpose!”
“On purpose?” I took a step forward, making both women flinch. “Does it help you sleep at night, believing I’m the villain in this story? Well, here’s some truth for you – I never wanted the Harding name. Your precious family forced it on me!”
“Liar!” Catherine’s voice shook with fury. “You seduced my son! You and your father planned everything!”
“Keep talking,” I said softly, dangerously. “Give me one more reason to show you exactly what this nobody‘ can do.”
“What’s going on here?”
Suddenly, Henry’s voice cut through the chaos. He stood at the top of the curved staircase, one hand casually running a towel through his damp dark hair.
Henry!” Catherine’s voice immediately shifted to wounded innocence. “Control your wife! She attacked your sister and nearly assaulted me! If not for the security team…” She gestured at the guards still sprawled across the carpet. “Look what she did! She’s completely out of control!”
“Brother!” Grace’s theatrical wail filled the room as she slid dramatically to the floor. “My back! That woman threw me down! I think she broke my spine!” She writhed on the carpet with impressive dedication to her performance. “Oh, the pain! Someone call a doctor! Why hasn’t anyone called a doctor?”
“Darling!” Catherine rushed to Grace’s side, her own performance equally polished. “Where does it hurt? Should we call an ambulance? Can you move at all?” She turned tear–filled eyes to Henry. “Your sister might have internal injuries! All because of that violent woman you married!”
I watched Henry’s expression, waiting for the coldness I’d grown accustomed to. Instead, his grey eyes held something I couldn’t quite read as they moved from the fallen guards to his sister’s theatrical display.
“Do you have anything to say for yourself? he asked, his voice carrying an unusual note that made my skin prickle.
“Nothing at all,” I replied flatly. “Your sister was asking for trouble, and I simply obliged. Mr. Harding, since we’re getting divorced anyway, please inform

“Grace, I know you’ve been playing the innocent victim all the time,” His voice was winter–frost.
“But brother!” Grace’s lower lip trembled as she attempted her usual coy routine. ‘she’s the one who attacked me! I was just trying to protect our family’s reputation…
“Enough!” Henry’s voice cut through the room like a blade of ice.
“Henry! Catherine interrupted, her voice sharp with disbelief. “What’s gotten into you? Why are you taking her side? That woman destroyed your life! She ruined your future with Isabella!”
Something dark flickered in Henry’s eyes. “Mrs. Harding,” his voice dropped to that dangerous whisper I knew my wife, perhaps consult me first?”
