Wallace frowned. “What do you mean by that? Jealous that I’ve got such a smart, adorable, and talented sister? Just admit iti No need to make such scene for attention. My sister isn’t interested in you.”
Nolan was confused, thinking, ‘When did I ever say I liked Sharon? She’s just a sharp–tongued little brat. Ugh, even if she were the last woman on Earth, still wouldn’t like her.
Nicholas’s gaze suddenly turned cold. He stared at Nolan, his expression dark. A wave of unease crept over him as he thought, ‘This guy’s the heir of the Pierce family–and a few years older than me.
‘Once others find out how amazing Sharon is, more people will be drawn to her.‘
“Did I say something wrong? No one’s ever seen Master Skyler. This imposter apologizing to your sister doesn’t prove a thing.” Nolan’s words were infuriating.
Ashley chimed in, stirring the pot, “Exactly! Who can prove she’s Skyler?”
“There’s no point in arguing with idiots,” Nicholas declared. He looked at Sharon and said, “Let’s go. There’s no reason to stay–it’s just a waste of time.”
“Yeah. Let’s go, Shari. No need to prove anything to these people. I’m not wasting time with them,” Wallace said.
He stepped in front of Nicholas, raising an eyebrow, and thought, ‘Stay away from my sister. As long as my brothers and I are around, you don’t stand a
chance.‘
Nicholas could only stand there, feeling a little disappointed.
Sharon didn’t move. She turned slightly and said, “It’s simple to prove that I’m Skyler.” Her gaze landed on the appraiser from Crownstone Enterprises.
The appraiser quickly stepped forward and said respectfully, “That’s right. This lady is the famous Master Skyler.”
“What? No way!” Nolan was stunned. He was also confused as to why the appraiser would be so nosy.
The appraiser continued, “Master Skyler once collaborated with our company. That’s why when she needed an appraiser earlier, I stepped in personally.
“Back then, she was just a little girl, but her talent was extraordinary, To this day, no one in our company has surpassed her.” He was flattering Sharon, his boss, hoping to make her happy.
The bombshell revelation deflated Nolan’s confidence instantly.
He couldn’t help but think, ‘Why is it that every time I run into Sharon, things go sideways? Wasn’t she supposed to be some clueless girl from a poor village? Okay, so she’s good at poker–fine, lots of people are.
“But now she’s Master Skyler? Seriously? Masters are teenagers now? What, do they start training as kids? This is insane–it makes no sense!‘
In an instant, everyone fell silent. No one dared to speak up–getting metaphorically slapped in the face like this was just too humiliating.
The appraiser from Crownstone Enterprises had vouched for Sharon, and that spoke volumes. Sharon had totally won.
She looked up at Wallace. “Wally, I could carve valuable collectibles for our family in the future.”
“That’s so sweet of you, but there’s no way I’d let you do something like carving–it’s hard on your hands. You’re meant to be spoiled like a princess. Just relax and enjoy life, leave the tough stuff to others.” Wallace gently patted Sharon’s head.
Even though Sharon was Master Skyler, Wallace still didn’t want her to do anything rough or tiring.
Sharon’s eyes curved into a smile. She knew that her brothers were the best to her.

At that moment, someone hearby chimed in with flattery, “Mrs. Baxter, you’re so lucky. Ms. Vance is so exceptional.
Wendy beamed with pride. “Well, Sharon has always been outstanding.”
Nicholas, Wendy, Wallace, and Sharon left the exhibition hall, having bought nothing.
Wendy suddenly said, “Nick, it’s getting late. Why don’t you take us somewhere for dinner?”
Wallace immediately chimed in, “Mrs. Baxter, there’s no need for dinner.” He was determined to take his sister home. There was no way he’d let her have dinner with Nicholas.
But Wendy insisted, “Come on, let’s go eat together. I’m just too happy today.” Without waiting for a response, she grabbed Sharon’s arm and ushered her into the car.
Wallace’s frustration was evident, but he held back from taking Sharon away, not wanting to disrespect Wendy.
If it had been anyone else, he wouldn’t have thought twice. But Wendy had taken care of him and his brothers before.
‘Ugh, this feels terrible. I just want to take my sister and go,‘ Wallace thought.
“Nick, hurry up and get in the car,” Wendy urged.
“Wait a second. There’s no space in your car. He’ll ride with me,” Wallace said, pulling Nicholas over and dragging him into the car behind Wendy’s. His face was dark as he said, “Let me make this clear again–stay away from my little sister.”
“I didn’t do anything!” Nicholas protested.
“What do you want to do?” Wallace’s voice suddenly shot up. “We’re both men. I know exactly what you’re thinking. Cut it out!”
Nicholas hadn’t been thinking much, but suddenly, the memory of that day in the canyon forest flashed in his mind, and he felt his palms heat up. He coughed awkwardly, turned his head, and looked out the window.
At the restaurant, Wendy requested a private room and eagerly encouraged Sharon to order.
Wallace remained expressionless, his gaze locked on Nicholas as if daring him to make a move. He looked ready to tear apart anyone who even thought about getting close to his sister.
Sensing Wallace’s impressive aura, Nicholas sat still, calm and composed.
After a while, Wendy glanced at her phone. “I’m going to the bathroom. Enjoy your meal.”
Nicholas immediately knew Wendy was leaving. Sure enough, as soon as she left, he received a message: [Go for it, Nick. Don’t let such an outstanding girl slip away. I’ve tried my best to help you.]
Wendy sighed, thinking, ‘If I hadn’t been so thick–skinned, Wallace would’ve never let Sharon have dinner with us. He’s been guarding her like a fortress. Dealing with him is tough enough, but there are seven of them.‘
Wendy suddenly realized how fortunate Sharon’s parents were to have eight sons. She wished she had eight daughters–it would have made dealing with the Vance brothers a lot easier.
The private room was incredibly quiet.
Even though Wallace didn’t like Nicholas, he had to admit the food here was pretty good. He looked gently at Sharon and said, “You must be exhausted from shopping today. Eat up and recharge.”

“Help yourself, too, Wally.” Sharon replied. She looked up at Nicholas sitting far away and asked, “Why isn’t Wendy back yet?”
“She just told me she had something to do and left,” Nicholas replied.
Wallace said in frustration, “Well, then you can leave too.”
Nicholas, who had never been treated so coldly, felt a bit disheartened.
Sharon quickly said, “Stay and eat with us. We’ve ordered so much food.”
Wallace’s face darkened as he thought in anger, ‘This man is so scheming. He’s making my sister feel bad for him over something so trivial.
Nicholas, graceful as always, took the fork and began eating without hesitation.
The next moment, the door to the private room swung open, and several men who looked almost identical walked in one after another. They were all excited as they looked at Sharon. “Shari, we heard you were amazing today,” one of them said.
Sharon gave them a sweet smile. “Oh, it wasn’t anything special.”
Those men dramatically clutched their chests, as if they were overwhelmed by how cute Sharon looked when she was being modest.
Suddenly, Richard turned his head. “What’s he doing here?” he asked, his face full of disgust.
