“Mrs. Baxter, I’m sorry. My sister didn’t know better earlier. Please don’t take it to heart,” Wayne said, feeling a headache coming on
He just couldn’t understand why his family refused to believe that Sharon was going to hold the party in the Queen’s Half at the Atlantis Hotel. The invitations had been sent out. The Atlantis Hotel had not made any move to deny it, which alone spoke volumes.
“Mrs. Baxter, I’m not wrong. My cousin, Shari, is from a poor village and doesn’t know any better. She’s lying. You’ve done her a huge favor by securing the venue for her coming–of–age party at the Atlantis Hotel.
“But she’s not satisfied and has been spreading rumors about the party being in the Queen’s Hall, Isn’t she just dragging your family into trouble?” Karen
said sharply.
“That’s not a rumor. It’s true,” Wendy replied calmly.
Karen’s eyes nearly popped out of her head. “She’s really hosting her party in the Queen’s Hall?”
She was consumed by jealousy that the Baxter family cared so much about Sharon, whom she regarded as a country bumpkin.
Wayne couldn’t hold back anymore. “So it’s true that your family has the power to control everything. You even have such strong ties with the Atlantis Hotel. No wonder you’ve been creating trouble for our family. Does the alliance between the four major families mean nothing to you?”
“Wayne, I think you’ve been misunderstanding something. You all think Sharon’s party in the Queen’s Hall is because of our family’s influence. But let me make it clear–it has nothing to do with us,” Wendy said.
Wayne’s hands slowly clenched into fists as he thought, ‘Could it really have nothing to do with the Baxter family?‘
Honestly, he had suspected it all along but had been reluctant to admit it.
Admitting it would mean acknowledging that he couldn’t measure up to Richard and his seven brothers, who had been cast out of the family and built everything from scratch. The humiliation would be unbearable if word got out.
“That’s impossible. How could they have that kind of influence?” Karen shouted. She refused to believe it and remained convinced that the Baxter family was backing Sharon.
Wendy suddenly felt like both Wayne and Karen were beyond reasoning. Her expression turned cold as she added, “I forgot to mention–the Atlantis Hotel didn’t just provide the Queen’s Hall for this party; they also cleared the place in advance.
“Instead of feeling sorry for yourselves, maybe you should start thinking about how to apologize.” With that, she turned and left.
She also instructed the staff to keep a close eye on the Vance family, making sure they didn’t cause any more trouble. She instructed the staff to keep a close eye on the Bai family, ensuring they didn’t wander around and cause trouble.
Karen was stunned. “Wayne, is this true?”
“Mrs. Baxter said so, so it must be true,” replied Wayne. He suddenly felt mentally exhausted. He couldn’t understand why, despite working so hard, he still couldn’t measure up to his cousins.
Karen couldn’t accept it. She immediately searched for the official account of the Atlantis Hotel on Twitter, and sure enough, she found their notice about clearing the place, along with a picture of the invitation to Sharon’s party. This was solid proof.
“Wayne, why would the Atlantis Hotel treat Sharon and her family this way? We’re one of the four major families, aren’t we? They’ve already been kicked out!” Karen said, her anger evident.
“Don’t ask me. How should I know?” Wayne replied.
He could tell that the situation was growing more and more complicated. But his grandmother refused to back down, and Richard and his brothers, being anything but pushovers, wouldn’t give in either.

Outside the Atlantis Hotel, eight luxury cars pulled up. Sharon stepped out of the one in the center, dressed in a sky–blue plaid dress that gave her a
sweet and innocent vibe.
Today, she and her brothers were here to inspect the venue and see if there was anything that needed improvement.
The eight Vance brothers were all dressed in black suits. Their facial features were strikingly similar, but their expressions varied. They stood beside Sharon, exuding an air of authority.
The general manager of the Atlantis Hotel greeted them at the entrance. “Welcome to our hotel.”
Nearly all the hotel’s senior staff had gathered to welcome them–a display of grandeur that no one had ever witnessed before, one that would leave other guests utterly stunned.
But the Vance brothers, having been blacklisted before, weren’t very familiar with the inside workings of the hotel and assumed this kind of reception
was normal.
Walking in the center, Sharon casually glanced at those people before turning to Wallace with a gentle look. “Wally, if you have something to take care of, go ahead. I’m fine here with Richie and the others.”
Sharon had planned to visit the hotel today to inspect the banquet hall, ensuring everything was perfect for her event, so her brothers had all set aside their work to accompany her.
But just as they were about to leave, Wallace’s assistant had rushed over in a panic, saying there was an urgent matter to attend to.
It felt nice to be the center of attention, but Sharon couldn’t help but notice the assistant was nearly in tears. So, priding herself on being a thoughtful younger sister, she had made that suggestion.
Wallace said gently, “It’s fine, I’ll stay with you for now.” To him, work was nothing compared to spending time with his sister.
Sharon couldn’t help but glance at the assistant, who was anxiously following them. She had tried, but her brothers were just too stubborn sometimes, and even she couldn’t do anything about it.
She sweetly added, “Well, then I’ll go with you later, Wally. I’d like to check out your workplace.”
Instantly, her seven other brothers turned to her, their eyes filled with anticipation.
Patrick said excitedly, “Shari, do you want to visit the set? I can arrange a bit part for you.”
“Sure,” Sharon replied, nodding. Her other brothers immediately chimed in.
Julian asked, “Shari, want to visit the National Nexus? They have several adorable little sika deer there.”
Aaron chimed in, “How about a visit to the robot manufacturing workshop?”
Marcus said, “I’m afraid watching me perform surgery isn’t too pleasant.” He sounded genuinely sad, wishing he could take Sharon somewhere fun.
Jeffrey said, “I can do some magic tricks in my lab. Want to come see?”
Marvin cleared his throat. “I know this awesome new place that just opened. I can take you there.” As a carefree man with no job, he always knew where to have fun.
Sharon’s eyes sparkled as she smiled. “Sounds great.” And maybe, while she was at it, she’d deal with anyone dumb enough to m
with her brothers.
After the friendly discussion, the eight brothers accompanied their youngest sister to the Queen’s Hall.
Once inside the lavish hall, even the eight young men, who had been around the block, were amazed. The decorations alone were clearly worth a fortune, and the famous paintings on the walls looked like genuine masterpieces.

Chapter 47
They had originally come here to find fault, but everything was perfect, exceeding their expectations.
The general manager stood respectfully beside them. “Ms. Vance, is everything to your satisfaction?”
Sharon turned to look at her brothers. “Do you think anything needs to be changed?”
Richard answered, “If you think something’s wrong, then it’s wrong.”
“I think it’s fine just the way it is,” Sharon replied. She didn’t know much about organizing parties. She just needed tomorrow’s event to blow everyone
away.
And starting tomorrow, things were going to change for the Vance family.
