Brent paspeth, “Hell yeah, I’m surprised. It’s honestly epic, Sharon. Total respect.”
The hall had been dead silent, but Brent just had to run his mouth and throw in his commentary. But the Vance family members all looked pretty apun
Nicholas shot Brent a cold glance, though there was a flicker of approval in his eyes.
He gave Sharon a complicated look, thinking, ‘So she’s this capable, huh?”
Wayne was also shocked. He asked, “Shari, do you even know what you’re saying? Did you really post that bounty? Are you an assassin?”
Those who were related to that post were basically all criminals.
“Unbelievable, Sharon. So it really was you? I knew you were trouble. Our family has strict rules against this kind of profession,” Roxanne said loudly, clearly finding an outlet for her frustration as she tried to crush Sharon.
Edward, ever the biased one, cleared his throat. “Come on. It’s not the Dark Ages anymore.”
Then Ernie stood up and said, “Well, if there’s nothing else, I’ll be heading out.”
“Let’s go together,” Edward said. He knew sticking around would only make things harder to manage, so better leave it to Sharon to handle.
After the two big shots left, the hall fell silent again.
“The post wasn’t made by me. I asked a friend to post it,” Sharon remarked. She wasn’t dumb enough to admit her identity in public. She curled her lips into a slight smile. “If you want the bounty removed, it’s easy. Just apologize.”
Wayne immediately chimed in, “Shari, I’m sorry. We were in the wrong this time.”
“You apologizing doesn’t count. I want her to apologize,” Sharon said, staring at Roxanne with an audacious gleam in her eyes.
“In your dreams,” Roxanne snapped, so furious she shot to her feet. No one had ever dared talk to her like that all these years. She thought, ‘This damn brat. Total jinx.‘
“Then I’ll wait in my dreams,” Sharon said coolly, turning around without looking back as she headed out of the hall. She planned to wait until the Vance family couldn’t stand it anymore and came crawling to apologize.
“Sharon, you stop right there. Don’t you want to know where your brothers really ended up?” Roxanne instantly shouted.
Sharon stopped in her tracks. She turned back to Roxanne, who was practically seething. “You know where they are?” Sharon asked.
“Of course I know. It’s not exactly a hard thing to figure out. The Dolan family and the Baxter family clearly didn’t tell you the truth, did they?” Roxanne said, a smug look spreading across her face.
Sharon instinctively glanced at Nicholas, her tone turning cold. “You lied to me.”
The air instantly grew heavy. It was the first time in Nicholas’s life he had ever faced something this awkward. He replied calmly, “That place is dangerous. We didn’t mean to keep it from you. We’ve already sent people to look for them.”
That only proved they had actually lied to Sharon. Her delicate brows furrowed. It’d been a long time since she last felt this kind of loss of control. Ever since that incident, she’d been on her own, with no friends left by her side.
Sharon’s voice was cold. “Where are they?”
“You wanna know? Easy,” Roxanne sneered arrogantly. “Get on your knees and beg me. Maybe, since you’re my granddaughter, I’ll do you the favor of telling you.”

Scalon that, Bient was practically swething. He had never seen an old woman this mutly before.
Nicholas could tell things were about to go south. He walked over to Sharon and said, “It’s not that complicated. It’s not exactly a secretk
“But by the rules, Nicholas, you have no right to tell her about that place, Roxanne remarked, pressing hard.
Just for the sake of finding those eight little bastards, you’re willing to break the rules and drag the Baxter family down with you?” She was finally letting out all the anger she had pent up.
She thought, ‘Let’s see how this little brat handles it now.“‘
“No need to make it so complicated. We’re back,” a voice interrupted.
Suddenly, glass shattered around them as a group of men in black stormed in, weapons in hand. The martial artist bodyguards guarding the hall were all kicked in and thrown to the floor like rag dolls.
Eight men appeared at the entrance, walking in like they owned the place. They were dressed in black from head to toe, wearing black gloves, their faces strikingly similar.
Lined up in a row, the eight of them gave off an overwhelming presence, making a hell of a cool entrance.
When Sharon saw them, a sweet smile tugged at her lips. She thought, ‘They’re back.
Roxanne screamed, “How is this possible? You went to that place. How could the eight of you still be alive? It’s impossible.”
She thought, ‘That place is only for martial artists. Ordinary people don’t stand a chance there.
‘These eight little bastards never even went to Oriston Academy and never received any formal training. They don’t know a damn thing about surviving there. How could they still be alive?‘
Terrified, Roxanne collapsed into a chair, clearly unable to accept the reality in front of her.
The eight men, looking like bringers of death, strode into the hall, and the Vance family’s bodyguards instinctively backed away. No one dared mess with
them.
Richard was in the lead, the cross–shaped scar on his forehead making him look even more lethal.
He stopped in front of Sharon, reached out, and gently rufled her fair. His gaze suddenly oftened. “Don’t be scal
damn finger on you.”
Sharon gave a sweet nod, thinking, ‘Man, it feels so good to have my brothers watching over me.’
The next second, Richard looked up at Roxanne. “Wow, you’re still breathing, huh? Look at you, so old your skin’s sagging off. Why are you still giving my sister such a hard time when you’re half in the grave yourself?”
“You brat, who the hell are you cursing?” Roxanne roared.
Wallace, Sharon’s second brother, smirked and said, “Weren’t you the one who told Sharj to beg you on her knees? Looks like you have a death wish.”
Marvin, Sharon’s eighth brother, lazily lifted his gaze and said, “Wally, maybe this old hag’s just tired of living and provoked us on purpose so that we’ll put her out of her misery.”
“You damn bastards. All of you, get the hell out of here. You’re not welcome here.” Roxanne pointed at Richard and the others, cursing them out without a shred of decency, looking at them like they were enemies, not family.
“Don’t be in such a rush.” Julian Vance, Sharon’s third brother, stepped forward with that trademark politician’s sly smile. “While we were away, you brought Shari back without permission and bullied her.
“Looks like it’s time to settle the score. If you’re not happy about it, we’ve got all day.”

Chapter 281
Roxanne screamed, “Have you no shame? Are you trying to drive me to my grave? Aren’t you afraid people will point fingers at you and say you’re cold- blooded monsters?”
Julian scoffed, “You were the one who crossed the line first. You were the one who tried to push our little sister to the edge. We couldn’t care less what people say. All we know is Shati was wronged.”
“Yeah, Shari was wronged. That’s all that matters,” the eight brothers said in unison, their ey
burning with determination.
They had barely gotten out of their last mess when they saw all the messages Joan had sent, telling them what Shari had gone through with the Vance family.
They had jumped straight onto a private jet and rushed over, just to back Sharon up
and settle the score,
Wayne’s face darkened. “So what do you want?”
The eight men turned to look at Sharon, their gazes blazing with one clear message–whatever she said went.
Sharon curled her lips into a small smile. “Same as before.
want her to apologize to my dad.”
“Keep dreaming. Never,” Roxanne shrieked, her wrinkled eyes burning red with rage.
