Wilson squinted like a sly fox. “The manager told me this was a blind spot, but it’s all good now because Candice has admitted to it.”
Candice looked like she was struck by lightning. She dug her nails into her palm, feeling like she had been played.
Once Wilson left with Serena, Candice had to endure the looks she received. Yet, no one dared criticize her because she was dating Justin. Still, the looks in their eyes made their feelings clear.
Even Mollie couldn’t take it. She stomped and complained, How embarrassing!”
Then, she left with Lynn.
Candice tried her best to regain her composure. Turning to Justin, she began, “Justin…”
She was surprised to find him scrutinizing her. “Justin, do you not trust me?”
All he said was, “The event’s about to end. I’ll have someone drive you home.”
Her face paled. She muttered, “I–I need to use the restroom”
The ragged breathing of a man and the erotic moans of a woman filled the air of a dimly lit lounge on the second floor.
Jacob turned the woman around and carried her to the desk by the window. Holding her tightly from behind, he moved his hand up her thigh and lifted the hem of her dress.
“Jacob, don’t-” begged Natasha in a trembling voice.
From where she stood, she could see the guests mingling with each other and raising glasses at the party.
As for herself, she was going at it with Jacob in this quiet corner, her dress coming loose.
“Your body is more honest than you,” Jacob teased her in a knowing voice.
He placed his finger under her nose and made her smell her juices. She instantly blushed.
She implored, “Let go of me. I need to leave. Your dad is about to sober up soon.”
“Oh, he’s wasted. Take your time.” He grabbed her neck, forcing her to tilt backward, and kissed her from behind.
Her legs trembled violently as she melted in his embrace. They moved from the windows back to the couch in the middle of the room.
When Jacob was finally done, he let go of her.
Natasha pulled up her dress and muttered, “Don’t do this again…”
Jacob snorted. “I’m not the only one who had fun. You don’t sound very confident there…”
She bit her lips in shame.
After tidying up, she endured the discomfort between her legs and left the room slowly.
Once she was gone, the smirk vanished from Jacob’s face. An unreadable look flashed across his eyes.
At that moment, a tall figure showed up at the door. It was Wilson, his arms crossed as he shook a cigarette out of its box.

He joked, “You’re pretty thirsty to cheat with David Smith woman while he’s still wasted next door.”
Jacob remained unfazed. “That’s what makes it exciting.”
“You’re a pervert.” Wilson threw a cigarette at Jacob. “Stop sleeping around. I’ve found you the psychiatrist you asked for. You should pick him up tomorrow.”
Jacob smiled at Wilson. “Thanks.”
“No problem. Your mom’s taken care of me before. It’s the east I could do for you.”
Jacob’s mom, Emma Lowe, suffered a mental breakdown not long after being thrown out by David. Her condition fluctuated between moments of clarity and episodes of madness.
During her lucid moments, she inadvertently took care of Wilson. It was also during that time that he got to know Jacob.
Jacob left the room after freshening up, looking like a gentleman again. He checked the time on his wristwatch” The event’s about to end. Let’s leave.”
Wilson replied, “You can leave before me. I’m waiting for Serena.”
“You act like her boyfriend.”
With a cigarette between his lips, Wilson squinted as he puffed a ring of smoke. He flashed a roguish smile at Jacob. “It’s just a matter of time before she becomes mine.
