Brent nodded. “I told you already, but you didn’t believe me. Boss’s fiancée really is staying at Atlantis Hotel.”
He froze for a second and thought, ‘Wait, if that’s true, so Caesar wasn’t lying? Boss’s fiancée got into trouble at the hotel? No wonder he rushed out of here like a storm.”
At Atlantis Hotel, Caesar put down his phone and looked at Sharon. “So you’re really Nicholas’s fiancée?”
“Yeah. For now,” Sharon answered.
I
“You’re a Vance? Weird, I don’t think I’ve seen you before. Isn’t there only one girl in your family, named Karen?” he asked.
At the mention of that annoying person, Sharon’s expression turned grim. She replied in a cool tone, “She’s my cousin.”
“Oh, I see. You’re from that branch of the Vance family that got kicked out, right? You have eight brothers, huh?”
“Yeah.”
“What a surprise. Your brothers are like wild beasts, but you look completely different.
But when he recalled how Sharon effortlessly knocked those martial arts unconscious. earlier, he sipped his coffee and thought, ‘Really can’t judge a book by its cover.”
Sharon urged him, “What about the number?”
He replied,
on, don’t rush. If you need help with the Dolan family thing, I can handle
it for you. You don’t have to trouble Nicholas for something so small.”
Sharon looked up and gave him a calm look.
Caesar coughed, feeling a sudden, weird guilt rise up in him. He thought, ‘Why do I feel like some shady guy trying to scam an innocent girl?”
He hurriedly added, “I’m serious. I can help you.”
“Don’t bother. He’s here,” Sharon said, her gaze shifting toward the window.
Outside, a car had just pulled up, and Nicholas stepped out. He wore a white shirt and black trousers, his tie hanging loosely around his neck.
His hair was even shorter than last time, making his sharp, handsome features stand
out even more.
The air of the powerful heir was g Successfully unlocked! it was mature masculinity.
Nicholas planned to head straight for the hotel, but feeling someone’s gaze, he

glanced over and saw Sharon sitting by the window, and opposite her seated Caesar. He couldn’t help but knit his brows slightly. Without slowing down, he strode into the lobby.
Caesar, acting like he deserved a beating, said, “Yo, dude, you’re here. Your fiancée was just asking for your number.”
Nicholas stood by their table, not even glancing at Caesar. He would always ignore Caesar’s nonsense.
Nicholas lowered his eyes and looked straight at Sharon. “Let’s go.”
In his heart, he thought, ‘Don’t stay near idiots. Stupidity is contagious!
If Caesar knew Nicholas was insulting him in his head, he’d definitely yell back, “You’re the idiot.”
“Okay.” Sharon nodded and got up to leave with Nicholas.
Caesar suddenly got upset. “Hey, Nicholas, I found her first. I even helped your fiancée with something serious. You’re not even gonna say thanks? It was the Dolan family, man. If it weren’t for me, she might’ve had her legs broken by now.”
Nicholas’s expression turned cold, and he asked Sharon, “Is that true?”
Sharon nodded. Right now, she had to let Caesar carry this for her because she couldn‘ t let Nicholas start suspecting her real identity.
As someone who usually stayed detached from other people’s troubles, Nicholas felt a strange irritation in his heart. ‘Sharon’s so sweet and cute, and someone tried to break her legs?
‘Garrett clearly broke his own damn leg, and now he has the nerve to come after Sharon? How shameless.
His emotions shifted inside, but outwardly, Nicholas kept his usual cold expression. “I’ll take care of it.”
Caesar protested, “You’re just gonna leave without even thanking me?”
Sharon asked with a blink, “How much do you want?”
Even Nicholas was a little surprised. He glanced at Sharon with a smile and thought, ‘ Good question. Well said.
Caesar looked heartbroken. “You’re seriously asking me for a price? You’re humiliating. me. How could you humiliate me with money?”
Sharon tried to explain, “I didn’t mean it that way.”
Caesar snapped, “You did. I’m the eldest son of the Duncan family, born with a silver spoon in my mouth. You are offering me money? Isn’t that humiliation to me?”
Nicholas had enough of Caesar’s dramatic performance. He said to Sharon, “Let’s go.

Ignore him.”
Sharon followed him away without a word.
Behind them, Caesar almost exploded from frustration. He clenched his fists and swore to himself, ‘I have to recruit this adorable girl into Oriston Academy.
‘I’ll get a recommendation letter ready today. No matter what, I’m getting her into my sailing club. Right, I’ll write it now.”
Meanwhile, Nicholas and Sharon stepped into the elevator. The golden, ornate walls reflected their silhouettes back at them, as clearly as looking into a mirror.
Nicholas glanced at her calmly and said, “The Dolan family won’t give up easily. It’s not safe for you to stay here.”
“I thought the same,” Sharon replied. “But there’s been no news from my brothers. Can you help me find them?”
They had promised they would come for her soon, but it had been so many days, yet. she still couldn’t reach them.
Nicholas replied, “I’ll send someone to look for them. Don’t worry, okay? Since it’s not safe here, why don’t you and your family come stay at my place?”
Sharon had been thinking about asking Nicholas to help them find a safer location, but she hadn’t expected him to invite her to his house so directly.
She stayed silent, hesitating, as they approached Room 808. Just as they neared the door, Sharon’s sharp ears caught a faint sound from inside, and she immediately got
alert.
“Shh, don’t move,” Nicholas said, pulling her behind him effortlessly, then pushing open the door with a casual strength.
The living room was eerily quiet. Sharon stood behind Nicholas, her eyes sharpening. She could sense clearly that four martial artists were inside, and two of them were of a pretty high ranking.
‘If it were just me alone, it would take about ten minutes to deal with them,‘ Sharon thought. ‘But with Nicholas here, I can’t make a move.”
Nicholas stopped abruptly and turned to look at her. “There are a few bad guys inside. Let me handle them.”
As he spoke, Sharon saw him pull off his tie, unbutton the collar slightly, and reveal a bit of his finely sculpted collarbone.
He bent down slightly to meet her eyes. “Violence isn’t something a girl should watch. Close your eyes and wait for me.”

He gently covered her eyes with his tie, plunging her world into darkness. With Sharon‘
s sight gone, her other senses became incredibly sharp. She could even picture the positions of the martial artists inside the room.
Sharon didn’t expect him to blindfold her. Nicholas’s hand found hers, and she immediately felt his strong and warm palm.
“Sit here, okay?” He guided her to the sofa, settling her there.
The feeling was strange to Sharon. She had always been the one protecting others. Even just moments ago, she was thinking about whether she should knock Nicholas out and handle the intruders herself.
‘Could it be… he’s actually powerful?‘ she thought, a bit curious.
After making sure Sharon was safe, Nicholas turned back toward the bedroom. The moment he turned around, the calm and scholarly air around him vanished.
His eyes darkened like a ghost from hell, and the shadow on the carpet behind him writhed to life, becoming a roaring demon. The gentle young man from a moment ago. turned into a living Satan.
He moved lightning fast. The low–ranking martial artists didn’t even have time to react before Nicholas knocked them out with a single blow.
Nicholas’s cold gaze locked onto the two stronger ones and sneered, “You guys are from Darknet?”
It wasn’t hard to tell because the tattoos on their necks were obvious. Nicholas didn’t
expect someone to hire professional killers. He thought, ‘The Dolan family must really hate Sharon. But anyway, I’ll protect her.’
Without breaking a sweat, Nicholas took down the remaining two people. He dragged their unconscious bodies into the bathroom, careful not to leave a mess that might
scare Sharon.
Once the cleanup was done, he turned back, and the sight of Sharon, sitting on the sofa with his tie still covering her eyes, made a rare smile flicker across his face. He thought fondly, ‘Good girl.”
He walked over and gently untied the blindfold. “I’ve dealt with them.”
Sharon looked up at him and asked, “What about my family?”
Nicholas froze for a second. In the heat of battle, he completely forgot about her family.
The two people who hid their identities seemed to be caught in real danger. Nicholas said, “Relax, I’ll look for them.”
Sharon gave a small, knowing smile and thought, ‘Alright, I’ll give you a chance.‘
