Chapter 4
I was so angry that my whole body was trembling, and I immediately went out and rushed to
the apartment.
I used the key to open the door, but I found that it just wouldn’t open.
Eliza actually changed the lock!
I could no longer tolerate it, the banging on the door.
Eliza came to open the door grumbling, but her voice died down the moment she saw me.
“Saniya, how did you come?”
“Are you here to see Triston? He just went out to buy bubble tea for me. You might have to
wait for a while.”
She spoke gently, yet with a blatant display of arrogance.
I ignored her and walked straight into the house.
Looking at the messy living room that had been renovated, my heart couldn’t help but ache.
Suddenly, my pupils contracted sharply, and the urn containing my father’s ashes on the stage
disappeared.
“Where is my father’s urn?”
My voice trembled as anger surged within me.
Eliza casually replied, “How would I know? Maybe Triston threw it away? Such an unlucky
thing.”
I angrily stared at her and she slowly moved a cremation urn from the corner of the wall and
handed it to me.
I reached out my hand to catch it, but the next second, Eliza exclaimed, “Oops!” and dropped the urn of ashes heavily onto the ground.
The urn of ashes instantly shattered into four or five pieces, and the powder inside was scattered everywhere.

She looked at me innocently and said, “I’m sorry, Saniya, it’s your own fault for not catching it
properly. I didn’t do it on purpose.”
I looked at her incredulously, trembling with anger.
I raised my hand high, about to give her a slap.
Before I could even touch her, Eliza fell to the ground with a thud and started crying out
miserably.
The next second, I was forcefully pushed to one side.
Triston’s angry roar echoed in my ears, “Saniya! What are you doing? Why did you push her?”
I, however, disregarded everything and threw myself towards the shattered urn of ashes,
kneeling on the ground and trying to gather it back bit by bit.
The ceramic shards pierced me, causing my flesh to be mangled, yet I felt no pain at all.
When I stood up, there was no one around me.
Triston abandoned me once again.
I took off my clothes and carefully wrapped the urn with them, then returned home in a daze.
Wiped away the tears and started packing up.
I didn’t have many things to begin with, and there were even fewer that I truly wanted to take
away.
A small suitcase contained all of my belongings.
The day after tomorrow is our wedding anniversary, and every year we would book a hotel together to celebrate.
This time, I chose a seaside town, which was the one I had been looking forward to the most.
But now, I wonder if he still remembers.
As I was thinking, the hotel reception called me to confirm, “Mrs. Tischer, just confirming the details with you one last time…”
