Chapter 33
Adora’s face paled at Sebastian’s suggestion. She’ve been nauseous and tired throughout the day, but blamed it on accumulated stress. But now that Sebastian mention sickness, what came to her mind was pregnancy. That night, at the hotel, Adora didn’t eat pills, nor did Sebastian used protection.
“Maybe I’m just homesick. Shall we go back home now?”
“Alright, kitten. I’ll inform Mr. Greg and have the cook prepare a soup for you.” Sebastian agreed without much thought and drove them to the airport.
All the while, Adora was lost in thoughts. She might be wrong, but just to be safe, she made a mental note to visit the hospital for check up as soon as they return.
They arrived two hours later, Adora was fast asleep in her seat. She look so tired and peaceful that Sebastian didn’t want to wake her up, instead he carried her to her room.
“Welcome home sir. The soup you asked for is ready. Should I bring it up?” Mr. Greg said with a bow.
“No need, Mr. Greg. Let her rest first.”
Sebastian whispered softly, afraid he might wake her up if he raised his voice. Mr. Greg understood, he nod his head and silently left.
Sebastian leaned down and placed a lingering kiss on her pouty lips. He had made the right decision to send a guard after her.
Adora slept comfortably for the first time in days. When she woke up the next day, it was already noon. She didn’t even hear Sebastian’s movement besides her even when he left. It was the weekend again. Adora decided to use her free time to visit the hospital for check up.
Adora left to the hospital without informing anyone where she was going. She went straight to the gynecology department for her pregnancy test.
“Payment are made on the lobby of the first floor. You’re number 22, Ms Rockefeller.” The receptionist chirped, moving to the
next person.
“Right, thank you.” Adora collected the payment slip and went to the first floor to make her payment, then headed upstairs to wait for her turn.
“Adora?” Adora whipped her head up at the mention of her name. She didn’t expect to run into anyone she knew at the hospital. And certainly she didn’t expect to meet Hilary who was coming down from the second floor looking quite surprised.
He is the last person Adora wanted to see at the moment, nothing good comes from associating with him. She turned her head away and hurried past him, blatantly ignoring his presence.
Hilary increased his pace catching up with her, he placed himself in her path halting her escape.
“Step aside Hilary, I have more pressing needs than entertaining your taunts.” Adora moved around him, but he moved in that direction as well. When she move right, he follows, when she move left, he follows as well.
“What the hell is your problem?!” She exclaimed fed up with his antics.

“What if I’m pregnant? Would you let me go if I answer you?” Adora replied matching his anger. The snatched back the slip and put a distance between them.
“Who is the father Adora? You’re barely legal and already having a baby?”
“I’m 18, thank you very much.”
“You–have you even ever loved me? We broke up in less than a month and you’ve already moved to someone else? What do you even know about Sebastian?”
“Not everyone is despicable as you are, Hilary.” Adora said shrugging,
“You deserve some credits though. If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t have met Sebastian, and look at me now.” She twirled a strand of her hair between her fingers. “I don’t think I’ve ever been this happy when we were together. You should be ashamed.”
Hilary’s hand had somehow found it’s way back on her shoulders. He was trying real hard to contain his anger that made his hands shake with tremors. He truly did love Adora, but she lied to him. So he left her for Rosalind, who he believed was honest, but his feelings for Adora had never changed.
“This isn’t right, Adora. We’ve been together for two years, I know exactly what you want, and this isn’t it. How can you throw away your dreams like this!?” Hilary shook his head, as if it was all crazy and he couldn’t believe what was happening.
