Chapter 32
“Come on Viv, when you’re being secretive like that, it only makes us more curious.”
They chatted animatedly imagining what prank Vivienne would pull out, and the moment Adora stepped out of the changing room, they kept quiet and focused on their makeups.
Adora felt tense and awkward, she could sense something was amidst, but simply brush it aside. Vivienne and her crew are always bad news.
One after another, the backstage dancers left to perform before Adora’s debut.
“Don’t cry too ugly on the stage, Adora.” Vivienne whispered as she brushed her aside to get up the stage.
“Why would I cry?” Adora asked halting her ascent,
“If you two have something to discuss, do that later when the performance is over for god’s sake. The performance is starting Mr. Wellington bellowed before Vivienne could reply.
“Of course, Mr. Wellington. I’m just wishing her luck.” She smirked, yanking her hand out of Adora’s hold and climbed up the
stage.
Adora refused to give in to Viv’s taunts. She just had to make sure her performance went smoothly with no mistakes.
Vivienne looked back one last time at Adora’s white ballet dress, she mouthed.
“Who knows, maybe when covered in red paint, you might be able to pull out a bloody angel appearance and win first place.*
The stage was engulfed in darkness as Adora, standing alone, took in a deep breath to sooth her nerves.
White light suddenly beamed on her, and as the music slowly started, Adora stretched out her body on the stage.
Sebastian had left his work to watch Adora’s performance, he joined in the crowd standing in the dark.
It was a sight to behold, the ten year old girl from his memories is no longer a little girl anymore. And the longer he watch her perform, the more he regretted not trying harder in changing her mind. Her beauty is only meant for his eye, although Sebastian couldn’t help but wonder what she saw in him.
Adora’s eyes subconsciously searched the crowd for Sebastian. She was surprised to see him actually standing among the crowd and smiled. He was so caught up in his work when she left. She did not expect him to leave his work just to watch her perform.
Hidden in the crowd, Vivienne eagerly streamed Adora’s exhibition live on her page, eager to broadcast Adora covered in paint on stage to the world and ruin her chance at ever wining. But up until the performance ended, Adora didn’t even faltered a step. She was cheered loudly at her spectacular performance.
‘Why?‘ Vivienne was confused. ‘How could this happen?‘
“Vivienne! Hannah! You’re up the next! Chop, chop! Move over.” Mr. Wellington ushered the backstage dancers for their final performance.

Chapter 32
Vivienne climbed up the stage confused as Adora finished her act perfectly fine, who beelined straight to Sebastian
“Hey, I didn’t think you’d come.”
“That was… breathtaking. I’m glad I did, I wouldn’t have forgiven myself.”
Adora blushed as his words and stood quietly by his side to watch the final act by Vivienne’s group.
“Watch this, I’m sure you’ll like it too. It’s a dance from our studio.”
Sebastian’s gaze hardened as he studied the crowd on the stage. “They’re not as good as you’re.”
The only reason Sebastian stayed behind was to witness Vivienne’s downfall.
When the dance was over, the host stepped up to speak, “Let’s show our appreciation to RC University for this beautiful dance of ‘Blossoms‘. Marvelous!”
Vivienne stood at the center waving at the crowd. Right above her head, a bucket full of red paint poured directly over head her head. Drenching her in sticky red paint.
The crowd roared in laughter at the scene as the fumes of paint filled the air. Adora’s stomach lurched to her throat with a strong urge to vomit. She gripped her stomach, grateful this had happened after her performance. She wouldn’t be able to perform after this, or worse if it had happened while she wa on stage.
“Who… who did this!?” Vivienne roared, frozen on spot. But no one replied.
Mr. Wellington was the only one that came to her aid, dragging her off the stage and back to the changing room.
Adora had rushed to the venue on empty stomach, so no matter how much she heaved, thankfully she couldn’t get anything out. But she was getting sicker by the second.
“There’s nothing interesting here anymore, let’s go out Adora.” Sebastian guided her out when he noticed her complexion changing.
“It’s a shame how the equipment team messed up like this.” Sebastian said smirking.
“Now that’s over, why don’t we go for sightseeing before we return back to the city later at night?” Adora nodded. With how tight her schedule has been over the week, she haven’t had time to explore Sundale during her stay.
The two made the perfect couple, spending the entire day shopping and when evening came, Sebastian took her to a high–end restaurant for dinner.
“Let’s go somewhere, Sebastian,” Adora whined. “I can’t stand the smell in here, it’s making me nauseous.”
Adora stood at the door refusing to budge.
“You’ve been acting strange throughout the day Adora, I thought it was the fumes of from the paint. What’s wrong Adora, are you sick?”
