Chapter 32
Chapter 32
“I’m sorry, miss. Victoria has declined your visitation request. You’ll have to leave.”
Riley couldn’t make sense of Victoria’s behavior, which was why she wanted to ask her directly what this was all about.
Early that morning, Riley had arrived at the police station and filled out the visitor application form. Now she was being told
Victoria had refused to see her.
“Officer, can I ask why? Did she say anything?”
Riley called after the officer who was already turning to leave. To her surprise, he stopped.
Turning around, the young officer thought for a moment, studying Riley’s face before saying, “She said, ‘She doesn’t know anything yet anyway.“”
Riley was confused for a second, then suddenly something clicked. Her eyes widened in shock as she grabbed the officer’s arm. “What did you just say she said?!”
Startled by her reaction, the officer scratched his head and repeated, “She doesn’t know anything yet anyway.”
Riley suddenly understood the meaning behind those words. “No wonder she hates me so much…”
She looked at the officer. “I’m sorry, but could you please ask her one more time? I’ll write a note for you to show her. She’ll agree to see me then. Please.”
Seeing her sincere request, the officer couldn’t refuse and agreed.
Riley quickly pulled out paper and pen from her bag, wrote a single sentence, and handed it to the officer to take inside.
As expected, Victoria immediately agreed to the visit.
When they sat across from each other with the glass between them, Victoria glared furiously. “What the hell did you mean by that note, Riley?”
Riley couldn’t help but laugh coldly, looking at Victoria with contempt, completely unmoved by her hatred and hysteria.
Victoria hated that look most of all–so superior and unaffected, when Riley normally acted all sweet and vulnerable to make Nathaniel rush to her rescue. She was nothing but a manipulative fake!
After receiving no response, Victoria’s agitated voice came again, even angrier: “Answer me! What did you mean by ‘I’ve read the story where you crippled his true love and he imprisoned you‘?!”
Riley stared at her with ice–cold eyes, her voice equally frigid.
“Exactly what it sounds like. Literally that.”
Doubt flashed across Victoria’s eyes, with a hint of panic in her voice: “Impossible… how could you have read it? Who are you really?”

Riley heard this and burst into laughter, then instantly transformed her expression from icy calm to burning rage.
She leaned closer to the glass, getting as near to Victoria as possible, staring into her eyes with vicious intensity. “Who am I?! I’ll tell you who I am, Victoria! I’m the Riley you killed in your past life, and I’ve come back to make you pay!”
Victoria recoiled from the glass in terror, letting out a piercing scream. “AAAHHH!”
Her screaming brought the guards running. One restrained Victoria while asking Rifey through the glass what had happened.
Riley just smiled slightly and shook her head, claiming she had no idea what caused the outburst.
As Victoria continued screaming and the guard led her away, neither of them saw how Riley’s smile vanished the moment they turned their backs.
Her face darkened, her eyes filled with a murderous glare as she watched Victoria’s retreating figure–as if even killing her wouldn’t be enough to satisfy her rage.
