Chapter 24
Theo waited until Riley had cried herself out before helping her stand up.
“Riley, feeling better?”
Looking at Riley’s red–rimmed eyes, he couldn’t help reaching out to wipe away the tears from the corners of her eyes.
Theo was actually deeply shocked. He had always thought Riley and that girl were just jealously fighting over a boy.
The first time he asked her about it, Riley said “I’m doing this for myself,” and he hadn’t paid much attention, thinking it was just another way of expressing herself.
Now he understood how much pain that girl had been in when she said those words.
And he finally understood why Riley was so concerned about whether her legs were injured every time she confronted Victoria.
So this was the deep hatred she spoke of. No wonder she was so afraid.
Theo felt an indescribable urge to protect her rise in his heart. He never wanted to see this girl, who had cried so heartbrokenly in his arms, get hurt again.
Seeing Riley nod, Theo smiled and said: “To celebrate our Riley’s rebirth, I will treat you to something delicious.”
Riley looked at him in surprise. This guy had been frowning just a second ago, and the next he could smile and talk about going to eat.
But amazingly, Riley was also affected by his mood, as if everything that had just happened didn’t matter.
The most important thing now was to follow him to eat something delicious.
After some time, Riley suddenly realized that she hadn’t encountered Victoria recently.
Had she really let go of her?
“Forget it… I’d rather not see her…”
Too lazy to think about it further, Riley muttered as she walked forward.
Today was the graduation exam. After Riley was nearly crushed last time, the school had conducted a thorough check of all safety hazards.
That day, someone had deliberately damaged the screws on the light fixture. The barely hanging screws and the already unstable light would have fallen under any use.
And Riley happened to be the first one that day.

But now, after the inspection, such incidents shouldn’t happen again.
However…
For some reason, Riley felt very uneasy.
She had a feeling that something major might happen soon.
“Riley! Over here, over here! I brought you breakfast. Are you still dancing first?”
Theo appeared out of nowhere, carrying a bag of breads and milk as he walked beside her, smiling.
“Yes. So will you wait for me after i finish?”
Riley took the breakfast, saw him nod, and then handed it back.
“Then hold onto this for me. I’ll eat after I dance. Otherwise, if I eat now, I won’t fit into my costume.”
Theo raised an eyebrow, looking her up and down: “You’re already as skinny as a beanpole, and you still can’t fit in? Is that
costume child–sized?”
Riley hit him angrily: “Get lost! It’s not child–sized! It’s because the dance costume is tailored to fit perfectly!”
“Ahahahahaha…”
The two of them made their way to the hall, joking and playing. Most of the teachers were already in place.
Riley hurried onto the stage to prepare. She had been uneasy all morning, thinking something might go wrong today.
But surprisingly, everything went smoothly, and Riley received unanimous praise.
When she came out after changing clothes, Theo was already waiting at the door, but there was also someone else.
“Riley, congratulations on your graduation.” Nathaniel handed her the flowers he was holding.
They hadn’t seen each other for a long time. Since that day, Nathaniel had been too upset to face Riley and had been avoiding
her.
But today was Riley’s graduation exam, and Nathaniel didn’t want to miss it, so he bought Riley’s favorite flowers and came.
“Thank you, but we’re going to eat together later. You…”
Riley took the flowers, her meaning very clear.
