Henry’s Pov
I stood frozen as Jasmine’s words echoed in the room.
“I have someone who loves me and I can’t lose that for someone who mistreated me.”
Her voice was calm, but it stabbed me like a thousand knives.
I tried to speak, but the words died in my throat. She wouldn’t even look at me.
Silas was holding her hand like he belonged there. That made it even worse.
The kids were hugging her tightly, their little faces wet with tears. Clara wiped her tears and turned to me.
“Dad,” she whispered, her voice shaking. “Mommy said she’s not coming back…”
I crouched down to her level, trying to smile through the ache in my chest.
“She’s just upset now, Clara,” I said softly. “She’ll forgive us. She has to…”
But deep down, I wasn’t sure anymore.
My grandfather shook his head in disappointment.
“I warned you, Henry,” he said bitterly. “You made your bed. Now lie in it.”
His words felt like a slap.
Bianca’s lies, my blindness, my pride… it had all led to this.
I had lost the woman who truly loved me.
The woman who carried my children.
The woman who was my heart.
I clenched my fists as tears threatened to fall, but I forced them back. I couldn’t break down now.
I couldn’t let her leave like this.
I looked at the kids. Caleb, Camden, Cole, Chloe, Charlotte, and Clara. They were still crying, clinging to their mother like they were scared she’d disappear.
I swallowed hard and took a step toward Jasmine.
“Jasmine…” My voice was hoarse. “Please. Just listen to me.”
She shook her head without looking at me. “I don’t want to hear it, Henry.”
“I know I messed up,” I said, my voice cracking. “I know I hurt you. I know I didn’t protect you
from Bianca, from everyone. But please… I can change. I will change.”
Silas stood protectively in front of her. “She’s said her piece, Henry. Respect that.”
I glared at him. “This is between me and my wife.”
Silas smirked. “Correction. She’s not your wife anymore. She’s my wife!”
That hit me hard.
“Henry…” my grandfather warned, his tone harsh. “Don’t make a fool of yourself.”
But I didn’t care.
I got down on my knees in front of Jasmine.
Chapter 26–It’s Over

Everyone gasped.
Even Jasmine’s eyes widened as she finally looked at me.
“I’m sorry, Jasmine,” I said, my tears falling freely now. “I was blind. I let Bianca get in my head. I didn’t protect you, I failed you, and I failed our children.”
She stared at me, her eyes cold and guarded. “Now you realize this, Henry? After everything?”
“I’m sorry it took me losing you to open my eyes,” I whispered. “But I’ll do anything to make it right.”
“You can’t erase the past, Henry,” she replied, her voice breaking slightly. “You can’t undo the
pain.”
“I know,” I whispered, my voice shaking. “But I’ll spend the rest of my life trying.”
The kids looked at me, their faces full of confusion and sadness.
“Mommy,” Camden whispered, “please… forgive Daddy.”
“Daddy is crying,” Charlotte said softly, wiping her eyes. “He never cries…”
Clara tugged Jasmine’s hand. “Please, Mommy. Let’s go home… all of us.”
Jasmine closed her eyes tightly. “It’s not that easy, Clara.”
Silas frowned but stayed silent.
I crawled closer on my knees, the cold tiles cutting into me. “Please, Jasmine. I love you. I’ve always loved you. I was too stupid to see it.”
She stared down at me, her lips trembling.
“Henry, love isn’t enough anymore,” she said quietly. “Love doesn’t erase betrayal.”
“I know,” I whispered. “But I’ll never let anyone hurt you again. Not even me.”
I reached for her hand, but she pulled back.
“Don’t do this in front of the kids,” she whispered.
“I need them to see, Jasmine. I need them to see their father fighting for their mother,” I said, my voice breaking.
“I need you to see… I can be better.”
The kids surrounded Jasmine, crying.
“Mommy, please…” Chloe begged. “Daddy is really sorry.”
Jasmine’s eyes filled with tears, but she shook her head.
“No, Chloe. Sometimes sorry isn’t enough.”
“But Mommy…” Caleb cried. “We want you and Daddy together.”
Jasmine wiped their tears. “I love you all. But I won’t stay somewhere I’m not respected.”
“I respect you, Jasmine!” I cried. “Please, let me prove it. Give me one chance. Just one.”
Silas tried to pull her away, but Jasmine stopped him.
She turned to me, her face expressionless.
“Stop this, you’re making the children cry. I’m married and there’s nothing you can do about it.” she said quietly,

Then she turned to the kids. “It’s late. You should rest.”
The kids clung to me, begging me to fix everything.
I hugged them tightly, but my heart was breaking.
Jasmine walked away slowly, leaving me kneeling on the floor like a defeated man.
My grandfather shook his head in disgust. “You’re pathetic, Henry. You let everything slip through your fingers.”
I ignored him. I didn’t care how I looked. All I cared about was Jasmine. And I was losing her. Again.
I wiped my tears and looked up at Silas, who stood protectively beside her.
This wasn’t over.
I wouldn’t give up.
I couldn’t.
Even if it meant swallowing my pride and staying on my knees for the rest of my life.
