Chapter 55
Rishima glanced briefly at Zvonimir before lowering her eyes, her expression as calm and indifferent as ever. The light shining on her beautiful face gave her an almost divine allure.
Ryan thought to himself: She’s stunning. Damn it, if she were my male, I would never abandon her.
It wasn’t just Ryan. The other male wolves in the room were thinking the same thing. Their gazes were glued to Rishima’s face. Even Daryl couldn’t hide his desire as he looked at her.
Zvonimir grabbed Rishima’s chin firmly and leaned close to her ear, mocking her in a low voice: “Are you asking for a beating again? Huh? Have I been treating you too kindly these past few days, so much so that you’ve forgotten your place?”
Rishima bit her lip. “No.”
“Then go pour some wine!” Tonight, Zvonimir intended to punish Rishima. He wanted to crush her stubborn pride, to make her obey his every command.
Rishima remained seated, unmoving.
One of the male wolves nearby suddenly laughed and said, “Master Zvonimir, this mistress of yours sure has spirit. With such a fiery personality, I bet she’s equally passionate during mating, isn’t she?”
Zvonimir shot him a sharp look. “And how is that any of your business?”
The grin on the male wolf’s face froze immediately. Fear flashed across his face as he quickly shut his mouth and retreated into the crowd. He was terrified that Zvonimir might retaliate.
The atmosphere in the room grew tense.
Zvonimir’s displeasure was palpable. His face darkened, his aura menacing, as if he might transform into a wolf at any moment and tear apart anyone in the room.
Sensing the tension, Ryan and Michael were about to step in to defuse the situation when Rishima suddenly leaned forward, picked up a bottle of wine, and poured it into a glass.
“Drink.” She held the glass out to Zvonimir, her tone dripping with disdain.
Despite her poor attitude, Zvonimir’s expression softened slightly. He finally released her and smirked. “Didn’t you see what that other she–wolf just did? Do the same.”
Rishima frowned, her face betraying her reluctance.
Michael, knowing her temperament well and fearing the tension would escalate, deliberately teased, “Come on, Master Zvonimir. She already poured you a drink. Don’t bully her anymore.”
“No. I won’t let this slide.” Zvonimir’s arrogant smile didn’t reach hi cold eyes. “She must feed me the wine just like that she–wolf fed Daryl, I want her to understand how a mistress should serve her patron.”
As soon as Zvonimir finished speaking, the wolves in the room grew even more disdainful of Rishima. None of them regarded her as Zvonimir’s ex–mate agymore.
Daryl sneered, “Rishima, why are you still sitting there? Just feed him the wine like one of those bar girls serving their customers. It’s not that hard, is it?”

“Exactly. You’ve already accepted being a mistress, so there’s no need to cling to your cheap pride,” added the she–wolf sitting in Daryl’s lap. She was quite attactive and popular among the male wolves. Seeing Rishima’s arrogance, she relished the chance to humiliate her.
Hearing their insults, Rishima gripped the glass tightly. Her throat felt constricted, as though something was choking her. Only she knew how much self–restraint it took not to throw the wine in Zvonimir’s face.
Thud!
Rishima slammed the glass onto the table and stood up, walking toward the door. She refused to stay in this filthy room any longer.
“Stop!” Zvonimir’s fury ignited. He grabbed Rishima’s arm and yanked her into his chest.
The force and aggression of Zvonimir’s actions left everyone in the room trembling. Even Michael felt a pang of fear for Rishima, thinking: Is Zvonimir really going to punish her here and now?
“I refuse to believe can’t make you submit!”
Tonight, Zvonimir was humiliated in front of everyone because of Rishima. He was utterly enraged and lost control of his strength. Gripping Rishima’s wrist tightly, he took a large gulp from his wine glass.
