Where are you?” As soon as the call connected, Zvonimir questioned with dissatisfaction.
“At the villa.” On the other end, Rishima’s voice, hoarse and weary, come through, sounding as if she had just done something utterly exhausting.
Zvonimir was stunned. For some reason, he was reminded of the time when Rishima had fainted after being overwhelmed by him. When she woke up, her voice had sounded similarly hoarse.

Then he recalled how Rishima had mentioned wanting to meet up with a male wolf she had gotten to know online. The sound of the call being hung up reached his ears. Zvonimir stared at the phone screen, stunned. He called back immediately, but Rishima decisively declined his call.
“Rishima, you’re a damn bitch,” Zvonimir cursed under his breath before storming out. He intended to confront Rishima at the villa.
His left shoulder throbbed slightly. He guessed it might have been strained during his drive back to the mansion, but he paid no attention to it. As he reached the estate’s gate, he realized he was still in his bathrobe and returned to his room to change.
His mind was consumed with the image of Rishima spending last night with that online male wolf, leaving him unable to focus on anything else. While changing, he accidentally tore through several expensive pieces of clothing.
Ever since he severed the mate bond with Rishima, whether due to sexual frustration or some other reason, Zvonimir’s temperament had become increasingly irritable, even showing impatience toward Farah.
Farah had sensed this change and was eager to conceive Zvonimir’s wolf pup. She feared that before her breeding cycle came, Zvonimir might mark another she–wolf.
At that moment, Farah was in the living room downstairs, chatting with Mrs. Ashcroft. Her voice was soft and melancholic as she said, “Mother, I feel like Zvonimir doesn’t like me.”
“What nonsense are you saying?” Mrs. Ashcroft chuckled, patting Farah’s hand gently. “Farah, don’t overthink things. If he didn’t like you, why would he choose you to be his mate?”
“But Zvonimir doesn’t want to touch me…” Farah bit her lip, her cheeks flushing as though embarrassed to bring up the topic. Then she added, “I want to have Zvonimir’s wolf pup soon, so you and Grandpa can enjoy a happy life…”
Mrs. Ashcroft was delighted to hear this. She grew even fonder of Farah. “Farah, you truly are the best she–wolf I could ever hope for. I made no mistake choosing you as Silverfang’s luna. But you’re still young. Zvonimir respects you, which is why he doesn’t want you to get pregnant too soon.”
Farah blushed, whispering shyly, “I’m not afraid of that. For Zvonimi and Silverfang, I’m willing to do anything.”
Mrs. Ashcroft had long regarded Farah as her own daughter. Seeing how obedient and understanding she was, Mrs. Ashcroft’s affection for her deepened. “Farah, you must know your body is different from other she–wolves. Your womb won’t fully mature until you’re twenty. If you mate with a male wolf too early, even if you conceive, it would likely result in a miscarriage.”
When she said this, Zvonimir hurriedly descended the stairs with a cold expression. He walked quickly outside as if he didn’t see Mrs. Ashcroft and Farah.

Seeing this, Farah quickly stood up and asked, “Zvonimir, where are you going? Don’t you need to rest?”
Zvonimir didn’t even turn his head. “To the company.”
With those words, he swiftly walked out the gate.
Farah looked disheartened.
Mrs. Ashcroft comforted her, “Don’t be upset. You know Zvonimir is always busy with work, sometimes not even coming home for days. Tonight, when he’s back, I’ll lecture him and convince him to care for you more instead of just focusing on work.”
