The doctor had warned her against having sex during the first three months of pregnancy. She’d rather injure Zvonimir than risk harm to her children.
The tension in the room thickened.
Zvonimir suddenly asked, “When did you start being so guarded around me?“”
If she hadn’t been wary of him, Rishima wouldn’t have placed a knife under her pillow.
Rishima didn’t deny it:
“Two days ago, when you were drunk.”
Zvonimir gritted his teeth: “…… Very well.”
Next time, he would make sure to tie Rishima’s hands before touching her!
The villa he had bought for Rishima near the city center had excellent transportation access. When Rishima called for an ambulance, it took less than five minutes for the medical staff to arrive in a hurry.
Because when she made the emergency call, Rishima had described Zvonimir’s emotions as wildly aggressive, almost animalistic, the medical team administered a tranquilizer to him immediately upon arrival.
Zvonimir’s desire was finally subdued, but he still had to go to the hospital for a health check and to treat the wound on his shoulder. Since Rishima had called for the ambulance, she was also asked to accompany him to the hospital.
It wasn’t until she sat in the ambulance that Rishima realized her hand, which had held the knife earlier, was still trembling, and her back was soaked in sweat, making her clothes stick uncomfortably to her skin.
Upon arriving at the hospital, the doctors first treated Zvonimir’s wound, then drew blood for some tests. That was when they discovered traces of an aphrodisiac in his system.
The kind of drug intended for male wolves.
The doctor immediately gave Zvonimir a complex look and said seriously, “Mr. Ashcroft, I understand your desire to demonstrate strength in front of your mate, but if you’re dealing with erectile dysfunction, it’s essential to seek proper treatment rather, than relying on drugs to achieve your goals. Doing so will only harm your body further.”
Rishima, sitting nearby, nearly burst into laughter.
Zvonimir’s expression turned exceedingly grim. He slammed his fist on the doctor’s desk and shouted, “-Ldo not have erectile dysfunction!”
“Yes, yes, I understand. Please, don’t get agitated,” the doctor said quickly, patting his shoulder in consolation. “I’ll prescribe you medication to help flush the aphrodisiac from your system.”
Zvonimir took the prescription from the doctor, his face dark. Out of respect for his profession, he refrained from punching the doctor, though the urge was strong.
Later, Zvonimir went to a hospital ward to expel the aphrodisiac from his body. He tossed his wallet and phone to Rishima for safekeeping, leaving her to wait in the hallway.
An hour passed before Zvonimir emerged from the ward. His face was pale, and his lips, drained of color, hinted at the blood loss

from his shoulder. It was clear how unwell he felt.
Seeing Rishima seated in the Hospital corridor, Zvonimir approached, lifted her chin roughly, and growled, “Next time, you’d better aim for my heart and kill me oright. Otherwise, I’ll screw you until you’re begging me to stop!”
Rishima silently gazed at him, her eyes slightly reddened, her frail shoulders trembling.
Zvonimir assumed she was frightened by his words. Noticing her pale face, he let go of her chin and said, “Alright, stop pretending to be pitiful.”
Suddenly, Rishima stood up, holding out an old photograph, She asked, “Who is she?”
Zvonimir’s face changed instantly.
He didn’t answer. Rishima smiled faintly and spoke in a soft voice, “She and I look quite alike, don’t we? Ha ha. There’s even a line written on the back I love you.‘ Zvonimir, you love her, don’t you?”
