Chapter 26
Adora’s face was swollen and numb from the countless slaps, leaving only a burning sensations now.
“Open your eyes Adora, look around you. Things have changed, you’re in my hands, at my mercy. Would you remain silent or continue making a fuse?” Rose tilted Adora’s chin up with a finger.
But even with her battered face, Adora still looked beautiful, which only further struck a cord in
Rose’s heart. If only she had a face like that!
Looking into Rosie’s face green with jealous, Adora finally understood what was going on and laughed out loud.
“What are you laughing at? You still think it’s funny?”
“Nothing Rose, I’m just pitying you. You obviously hate me so much, yet you still pretend to be me.
How did you convince Hilary that you were the one who saved him back then?”
“Stop spewing nonsense. The person that Hilary loves is me, Rose, not you. I have no idea what
you’re talking about!” Rose yelled at her face, finally losing her cool now that her secret was exposed.
“If you dare tell Hilary about this, Adora, it’ll be the end of you. I’m going to kill you myself!
I’ll teach you to keep your mouth shut.” She motioned to her guards. “Go ahead and tie the bitch to
that tombstone.”
At the mention of a tombstone, Adora broke out in a cold sweat. Adora is a scaredy cat, she haven’t
gotten a good look at her surroundings when her cloak was taken off and it was too dark.
“This is kidnapping, Rose!”
Adora struggled, kicking and screaming to free herself when she remember the superstitious believe that whoever slept in a cemetery would wake up crazy.
But none of the guards had a sense of righteousness in them. The things people would do for money.
Despite all her fights, Adora was tied to an eerie looking tombstone. “Let me go! I’ll call the police! Let me go right this second!”
“Go ahead and call the police when you make it through the night. I heard that this particular

cemetery is haunted.”
Rose’s business with Adora was done. She believed she made herself clear and clicking her heels on
the concrete with swagger, she turned around and disappeared into her Mercedes Benz. The car zoomed past Adora leaving a gust of dust in it’s wake, disappearing into he night.
Back at the mansion, Sebastian glanced at his wristwatch again. It was already after eleven at night
when he returned to back home. The lights in the living room were on, and Mr. Greg was standing
by the door, awaiting his return.
“Why are you waiting outside, Mr. Greg?”
“Ms Rockefeller hasn’t returned yet back, sir. I was worried.”
All the soreness in Sebastian’s body evaporated and was replaced by tension.
“What did you just say?”
“Ms Rockefeller has been leaving the mansion after dinner for a couple of days now. But she’s
usually back before 10:30, but it’s already 11 o’clock now and she’s not back yet.”
Sebastian whipped out his phone and dialed Adora’s number, his expression darkening. He had clearly told her to return home early wherever she went. Did he have to tie her to his bed to be
reassured?
The phone rang several times but it wasn’t answered. Is she ignoring him?
Sebastian closed his eyes and count to ten, clearing his thoughts. He went through all the places she
could be at this hour, and came up a person instead- Bella.
The last time she was late, Adora had mentioned Bella. He quickly notified Alex to investigate Bella
and send him her information.
Bella was startled awake from her sleep by a phone call from an unknown number.
“Hello,” She croaked. “Who’s on the line?”
“It’s Sebastian. Is Adora with you?”
Bella sat up straight when she heard the name. “Adora? She’s at the dance music training class. What’s wrong? Hasn’t she returned back yet?”

“Thanks for the information. I’ll handle the rest.”
Hanging up, Sebastian instructed Alex to check the surveillance cameras around of the dance music studio for the past hour.
At 11pm, most of the people at the studio had left, but there wasn’t a sign of Adora. Sebastian
became restless.
After much investigation, at the end, all the clues pointed to the West Mountain Cemetery.
Without the slightest hesitation, Sebastian set out for the West Mountain Cemetery. At the crack of dawn, a black Land Rover sped through the streets weaving through the traffic until it arrived at it’s
destination.
Adora might be brave and sassy, but underneath all that, she’s just an 18 year old girl. Which normal
girl wouldn’t be scared stranded at the graveyard at night?
“My dear brethren lying six feet underground, I apologize for the disturbance. If you have beef with
me, please settle it with Rose. She is the one responsible for my presence here.” Adora whispered to
no one in particular.
“I’m just a poor innocent girl. I’ve never committed any crime in the past. All the people I got into
fights with deserved it. I do not even start those fight, I was only defending myself.” She cried.
“Where are you Sebastian? What’s taking you so long to find me?” Adora lamented just as a strong gust of wind blew up her hair.
