hapter 19
In fact, Nathaniel had been reborn earlier than Riley.
In the other world, when Riley jumped from the roof, Nathaniel had been frantically driving to find Victoría,
But he had never imagined that one day he would watch the woman he loved die before his eyes in such a way.
Every time he recalled that moment, Nathaniel felt unable to breathe.
He couldn’t explain what had happened to him then, but his urgent desire to find Victoria had been real.
He had thought Riley would be fine. He had thought his obedient Riley would surely wait patiently for him to return.
At that time, their wedding was scheduled for the next day. He had been self–importantly organizing everything
Yet he had completely overlooked Riley’s feelings. He had never asked what she wanted.
So he hadn’t noticed how deep the sadness in her eyes was when she asked him to meet her on the rooftop.
So he hadn’t noticed Riley’s expression when she watched him looking at Victoria.
So he hadn’t noticed that Riley, in her growing despair day by day, had lost all hope for living.
So he had permanently lost the person he had once loved most.
When Riley jumped from the rooftop, everything seemed to happen in slow motion.
For the first time, Nathaniel saw an expression resembling relief on her face. At the moment she hit the ground, she was actually smiling.
In that moment, the tremendous sound of Riley hitting the ground was like a thunderbolt that completely stunned him.
Nathaniel’s eyes widened in shock, his face filled with disbelief. He just stared straight ahead at everything before him, as if time had frozen in that moment.
After a while, he suddenly blinked, and tears flowed out. It was as if he had finally awakened.
The screams and chaos around him suddenly exploded in his ears, and time finally began to flow again.
He pushed open the car door and stepped out, walking to the edge of the car to look at the person who was now lying in a pool of blood. She had landed on the back of her head, with blood spreading beneath her.
But her face was smiling, her eyes hollow as they stared at him, tears still clinging to the corners. Her prosthetic legs were shattered, her white dress spread out on the blood–soaked ground, her black hair scattered randomly beneath her.
“Ahhhhh!!!”
As if suddenly understanding what had happened.

Chapter 19
Nathaniel cried out in anguish, his grief–stricken howl penetrating the campus, echoing for a long time in the place that had once held their most beautiful memories.
“Riley! Come back…”
But everything was beyond repair.
What has happened cannot be undone.
This time, Riley had finally gotten her wish.
Riley had used her death to finally exact revenge on the two people who had hurt her most deeply in this life.
Nathaniel would forever live in hatred for himself and Victoria. He could never face Riley again, nor her family and friends.
The once–beautiful Riley had been wounded beyond recognition by his side, and he had actually turned away from this person who had only a thread of hope left to live, walking towards the very one who had taken everything from her, personally cutting off her last bit of hope for survival.
And Victoria would never be able to have Nathaniel.
Riley’s death would become an indelible pain in Nathaniel’s heart. How could she compete with a dead person?
Moreover, this was a person who had been humiliated and calculatedly destroyed by her own hands, ultimately dying in front 1 of Nathaniel.
