Chapter 15
In a few more days, it would be the graduation exam, and Riley was boy with intense rebearsh
Although she had broken up with Nathaniel, they had been childhood sweethearts at all, so they would occnally have meals together.
Nathaniel would also come to watch her dance practice from time to time, but strangely, she never saw Victoria again.
But Riley didn’t care about these things anymore, she just wanted Victoria to leave her alone.
It was now the end of June, and the weather had gradually become hot. The campus was filled with people in short term and dresses.
But today was unusually gloomy, with no sunlight and rolling thunder in the distance–it looked like a storm was coming,
Riley was at her regular dance training, but today they were doing a stage rehearsal at the school’s performance hall
It was almost Riley’s group’s turn.
She was changing clothes when she heard boisterous laughter outside. After changing, she walked out.
It was Nathaniel. He had placed a bouquet of flowers at Riley’s spot and was handing out coffee to everyone.
Riley smiled, feeling nothing inside.
They had already broken up; these gestures were just a waste of time and energy. Why couldn’t he see that?
“Riley, come over here! Your husband brought you flowers,” one of the girls in the class teased.
“Yeah, if he’s this attentive during rehearsal, imagine how grand the graduation ceremony will be!”
Riley ignored their comments. She put away her clothes in her locker and slowly walked over.
Standing beside Nathaniel, she smiled and said, “Thank you.”
Nathaniel was startled and was about to say something: “Riley, you don’t need to-”
Riley cut him off: “But Nathaniel and I have already broken up.” She turned to the girl who had spoken earlier: “So you’re mistaken–he’s not my husband.”
“What?! When did you…?”
Exclamations of surprise erupted around them. No one had expected them to break up.
Riley’s words were like dropping a boulder into still water.
Everyone began whispering among themselves, while Nathaniel frowned at her.
“Riley, come with me.” Nathaniel tried to pull her outside, but she shook him off.

Chapter 15
“No need. We’re just friends–there’s nothing we can’t say in front of everyone. Besides, I need to go on stage now.”
A flash of grief crossed Nathaniel’s eyes. She was indeed about to go on stage; he had no choice but to let go.
Just then, a voice called from outside: “Ballet Class 7, get ready. One by one on stage.”
Riley’s class was performing a graduation dance that combined individual and group performances–each dancer would perform a solo before all the swans came together for a group dance.
Riley was the lead dancer, the first to go on stage. Seeing that the lighting technician had already set up the lights, she prepared to go on.
But for some reason, she felt a vague uneasiness in her heart.
Once on stage, Riley took her starting position and looked out at the audience.
Since this was a rehearsal, the audience consisted mostly of her classmates, with few other spectators.
But Riley felt an intense gaze fixed on her. She looked up in that direction.
To her shock, she saw Victoria sitting in a corner, staring at her with malicious intent.
What was she doing here? Seeing the expression on Victoria’s face, Riley’s uneasiness grew stronger.
But as the music started, she had no time to think further and began her dance.
Suddenly, she noticed the horrified expressions of her classmates in the audience. They were all staring at her with wide eyes, seemingly shocked by something.
And then a white figure rushed through the crowd toward the stage, moving incredibly fast.
So fast that before Riley could identify who it was, she was tackled to the ground.
Followed by a cry of alarm:
“Riley! Look out!”
