Chapter 10
“Riley? Riley, are you okay?”
Riley’s head throbbed with pain as she felt herself immersed in darkness.
So this is what death feels like, she thought. Not heaven, not hell.
Just falling into an endless void of darkness.
But who was calling her name?
Riley sensed what looked like a point of light ahead. Was that the path to heaven?
She blinked hard, trying to see the light more clearly, and began running toward it.
Suddenly, her eyes flew open, and she was surrounded by brightness.
The glaring sunlight made it difficult to keep her eyes open.
- 1.
Someone was frantically calling her name. She felt herself being held, with noisy voices all around.
That voice was so familiar. Who was it?
Riley forced her eyes open. As the intense white light gradually faded, she finally recognized the person before her.
“AHHH!” Riley shrieked, shoving Nathaniel away. What was he doing here?
Had she died only to still be haunted by him?
“Riley, what’s wrong?” Nathaniel looked at her in confusion. “Did you get heat stroke from dancing?”
Dancing? Thanks to his precious Victoria, she had lost her legs long ago. How could she possibly dance…
Wait!
Riley carefully assessed her surroundings. This place looked familiar, and she recognized everyone around her. This was…
“School?!” Riley exclaimed.
She looked at the people around her–all members of the dance team, along with Nathaniel, and…
Riley looked down at her lower body. Legs! Her legs were fine! They were her actual legs!
She jumped to her feet, bouncing up and down. After confirming her legs were intact, she couldn’t help but burst into tears of joy.
She realized she must have been reborn–and specifically, reborn to a time before Victoria had run her over with a car.

Chapter 10
Looking around, Riley recognized this scene as the graduation performance, which in her previous life had been the last time
she ever danced.
In less than three days, Victoria would drive a car into her, and she would once again lose…
No! Impossible!
She absolutely refused to make the same mistake twice!
Riley looked at the concerned Nathaniel, flashing back to just minutes ago–how he had abandoned her to find Victoria.
Hah! Nathaniel! This lifetime, I’ll give you what you want! Go be with your precious Victoria.
As for Victoria, she’d better not try to hurt her again.
Because if the universe had given Riley a second chance at life…
She would absolutely make sure these people got what they deserved!
Having made up her mind, Riley brushed the dust off her clothes and smiled, telling everyone she was fine.
Most people laughed it off, saying they were glad she was okay, then dispersed.
Only Nathaniel remained concerned, insisting she go to the hospital for a check–up.
Riley pushed him away and stepped to the side, her face cold. “Nathaniel, I need to change and remove my makeup. You should go ahead.”
Nathaniel’s face instantly filled with confusion. “Why? Didn’t we plan to go for dinner?”
“Not today. I’m tired and want to get some sleep.”
Riley rejected Nathaniel without hesitation. Just minutes ago in her mind, she had hated him enough to end her own life.
Now he expected her to have dinner with him? Impossible!
She needed to go back and carefully plan how to avoid being hit by Victoria three days from now.
Seeing that she genuinely seemed exhausted, Nathaniel didn’t push. “Then let me walk you back to your
Riley considered this and agreed.
She couldn’t let him suspect she had been reborn.
If her attitude changed too drastically, he would definitely become suspicious.
Besides, they were dating now–it was only natural for him to walk her to her dorm.
Riley grabbed her clothes and smiled at him. “Wait for me, I’ll go change.”
Nathaniel lovingly stroked her head. “Sure.”
dorm.”
– cho turned away. Riley’s smile instantly vanished, replaced by undisguised coldness.
