The time was up, but Ethan still refused to leave.
When Summer asked him for the third time, he set down the water glass he’d brought her.
“Oh? It’s time already?”
Summer frowned at his distracted behavior.

The phone rang for a long time with no answer.

She anxiously paced back and forth, calling repeatedly.
Finally, a busy tone.
Her face went pale.
Ethan had blocked Scarlett’s number!
She gripped her phone tightly, her eyes filled with despair.
“You’ll regret this, Ethan!”
At that moment, Ethan was sitting on his couch.
His phone lay on the coffee table in front of him.
