Chapter 152 Who Is My Real Husband?!
My heart felt like it was being crushed by an invisible hand, squeezed so tight I could barely breathe.
Sensing my distress, Ryan pulled me into his arms, holding me firmly yet gently. His hand stroked my back in soothing motions, his voice a low, calming murmur.
“Gabby, don’t overthink it. Just breathe, okay? Don’t put so much pressure on yourself.”
His warmth enveloped me–familiar and steady, a place that felt safe. Instinctively, I curled against his chest, letting his presence ground me.
“When we get home, I’ll explain everything to you.” he whispered, pressing a soft kiss to my forehead, his voice wrapping around my frayed nerves, slowly easing the turmoil inside me.
I closed my eyes, inhaling his scent, and let out a shaky whisper.
“Ryan, it hurts so much, I feel like I’m being torn in half.”
He let out a quiet sigh, tightening his hold around me. His lips brushed against my ear, his breath
warm
“Don’t push yourself, Gabby. Just trust me, just this once, okay?”
His tenderness seeped into me, little by little. I nodded, my body relaxing in his arms.
Ryan stroked the top of my head before turning back to the car. Without another word, he started driving, taking me home.
But even after we arrived at the villa, my mind remained tangled in doubt and unanswered questions. Before I could process anything, Ryan took my hand and led me inside, his grip firm but not forceful. The moment we stepped into the bedroom, the door slammed shut behind us.
Before I could react, he spun me around, pinning me against the door, and without warning, his lips. crashed onto mine.
My breath hitched, my eyes widening in shock.
Was this his idea of an “explanation“?
I instinctively tried to push him away, but his hand cupped the back of my head, holding me in place, leaving me no room to escape.
His kiss was different this time–deeper, more intense. Possessive. Like he was trying to consume me and erase every doubt in my mind.
His tongue slipped into my mouth, tangling with mine, stealing my breath. The way he kissed me, hungrily, desperately, made my knees go weak.
His warmth surrounded me, his scent dizzying. His breath brushed against my ear, sending a shiver down my spine.
His hand slid down my waist, tracing the curve of my back with slow, teasing strokes. My skin tingled under his touch, my heart pounding wildly.
Chapter 152 Who is My Real Hu
When I was completely breathless, he finally pulled back just enough to meet my gaze. His eyes burned into mine, dark and unwavering.
“Gabby, my entire heart belongs to you.”
I stared at him, my mind blank, my pulse racing.
Then, gently he took my hand and pressed it against his chest. His voice was low and steady.
“Feel it. Tell me, who do you think it’s beating for?”
Beneath my palm, his heart pounded, strong, rapid, almost frantic
Thump. Thump.
My own heart wavered, torn between reason and emotion.
“Would someone who looked at me this way, really lie to me?”
“Gabby, from the beginning, it has been only you in my eyes, and in my heart.”
His words, filled with raw sincerity, settled deep into my soul, shaking something loose inside me
I looked at him, dazed, my mind spinning.
“Could Summer really be telling the truth?”
She wasn’t connected to me in any way. If anything, she seemed to have something against me. And she was clearly infatuated with Ryan.
‘Could she have lied, deliberately, to drive a wedge between us?”
Everything Ryan had done for me these past days, the care, the patience, the tendernessin his eyes, could that all be fake?
The more I thought about it, the heavier my guilt became.
Had I really let a few words from Summer shake my trust in him?
I lowered my head, biting my lip, my voice barely above a whisper.
“I’m sorry.”
Ryan stilled for a moment. Then, with infinite gentleness, he cupped my face in his hands, tilting my chin so I would meet his gaze. His eyes were warm, full of unwavering devotion.
“Silly girl,” he murmured. “I’m your husband. How could I ever be mad at you?”
His voice was so tender, so deep, it melted away the last of my resistance.
Then his lips curved into something softer, something darker. His voice dropped to a husky whisper
“If you really doubt our marriage, I know a way to prove it to you.”
