Chapter 150 Ryan Loses His Temper
Summer’s face went pale. She pressed her lips together, staying silent for several seconds before finally speaking
1 didn’t do anything wrong,” she said slowly. “I just asked Gabrielle to meet for a drink. We had some juice, a little coffee–just talking like friends.”
Ryan let out a cold laugh, his voice dripping with sarcasm. “Talking? And I’m supposed to believe your intentions were that innocent?”
Summer flinched, caught off guard. Panic flickered across her face, but she quickly straightened up. clenching her jaw “Fine I admit it. I wanted her to stay away from you. She’s married. Ryan. It’s only night that she keeps her distance
She didn’t get to finish.
“Shut up.” Ryan snapped, his voice low and cutting “Summer, you’d better get your act together.” His expression darkened, and a dangerous energy radiated from him. He didn’t wait another second- just grabbed my hand and pulled me away.
But my mind was spinning with what Summer had just said.
She called me a mamed woman. She said I should stay away from Ryan. She said… Vincent is my husband.
I jerked my head up, looking at Ryan
If what Summer said was true, then why did Ryan lie to me? Why did he make me believe I was his wife?
And if she was lying, why would she make up something so outrageous?
I was drowning in questions. But the most temnfying thought was–if Ryan had been lying to me all this time. who could I trust?
Just as my thoughts began to spiral; a sudden shout rang out behind us.
“Ry–wait!”
I instinctively tu
turned around–just in time to see Summer stumble and fall.
She’d been running too fast, twisted her ankle, and collapsed right there on the sidewalk. One of her heels had flown off, and she looked completely disheveled, clutching her ankle with a pained expression.
“Ry don’t go! Please, let me explain!” she cried, her voice trembling, tears streaking down her face. It was a pitiful sight–but Ryan didn’t even flinch.
I stopped walking and instinctively reached out grabbing his wrist. “She looks like she really hurt
hersell. Should we check on her?”
Ryan pressed his lips into a hard line, glance back at her coldly–then looked away just as quickly “She brought this on herself,” he said flatly. “Whatever happens to har is not
Chapter 150 Ryan Loses His Temper
I blinked, startled.
The Ryan I knew was calm, rational, always gentle and considerate. I could hardly remember a timel had ever seen him truly angry. But right now, his entire demeanor radiated restrained fury. He was truly pissed.
He tightened his grip on my hand and picked up the pace, not once looking back. Summer’s voice kept calling after us, but it grew fainter with every step we took.
We didn’t stop until we reached his car. Ryan finally let go of my hand and opened the passenger door.
“Get in.”
I hesitated for a moment, then slid into the seat.
He walked around the front of the car, got in behind the wheel, and started the engine without saying a word.
As we pulled away from the café, I glanced at him. His jaw was tight, his expression still clouded with anger.
The atmosphere inside the car felt heavy.
I cleared my throat softly, then asked, testing the waters, “How did you even know where to find me?” Ryan turned to look at me, his brows still furrowed. The fire in his eyes hadn’t quite died down.
His voice was sharp as a blade. “From now on, you are not to meet with Summer alone. Ever again. Understand?”
